I have installed the latest version of Skype (from Ovi Store). I am able to login into my account, but calls don't go through. Even calls to Echo/Test service don't go through. All I get is a message: your call has failed to connect to Echo service.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI spoke to vodafone oz, who said that Nokia have not sent belle over to them for testing yet....it's HIGHLY FRUSTATING to upgrade to belle, than not be able to use vodafone's own skype app (so i can get unlimited data very cheaply).....firstly it's a shame vodafone put a wrapper app behind skype in the first place!!! For now I have to just use skype from the ovi store and use my data allowance. Anyhow, will nokia be sending over belle anytime soon to vodafone australia????????? They said until they do and it passes testing, it won't be supported.

At first, I was instructed to uninstall and reinstall the app. I did this but the new app refuses to connect to the internet. I've redownloaded and reinstalled the app several times with the same result. An error script pops up whenever I start the app, and then the app comes vs with some preloaded accounts that I can't change.

But then observed that it is opening only when used with WiFi, but does not open in 2G/3G connection. This is new to me. I was an Android user and use to browse the same news site applications with either wifi or 2G/3G. The news site applications are: Times of India and Ibnlive.

The camera doesn't work. I open the camera application with both methods (button on side and icon in apps) but it does the red dot thing in the corner for about 4-6 seconds then disappears and applications tells me the app is running. I try to go to the app but it wont go on it.
Problem 2:
The green key, dialler and contacts icon on the home screen do not work at all. I have no way of opening my dialler as there is no option for it.
I updated my firmware to v40.0.005 last week. Please be aware the problems were both there BEFORE i made the update and are still here after the update.Is there any way of doing this without soft/hard resetting. Also, does soft/hard reset mean you lose the data in an app (eg your high scores in a game like bagatelle)?

The last version released (albeit in Beta form) was v2.01(4435) but this is no longer compatible with Belle FP2 with the main issue being with the SMS conversation application as when you attempt to right a text message the entry field remains at the bottom of the screen and the keyboard covers this up so you cannot see what you have entered. If you revert to the Nokia FP2 keyboard the field moves above the keyboard as it should. Some of the other issues reported on other forums include: double-tap to select word not working backspace not working (or holding backspace for word delete) in some apps Left/Right arrow keys not working in some apps every word gets capitalized (rare) split-screen not working consistently multi-line input not available in some apps (could be down to the individual apps) input is sometimes right-aligned buttons along bottom (tick, left/right, options) are too small doesn't have text selection anchors like native Belle input Although I have not spotted all of these.
