IPhone :: Hotspot Doesn't Work After Upgrade To Ios 5.1 On 4s
Mar 13, 2012
I have 3G services on my phone and using the iphone 4s hotspot. After upgraded to iOS 5.1, I can't use my hotspot when I connect iphone through usb cable to pc.
The auto login function to my tmobile Hotspot has worked for over 1 year without any problem on my iPhone 4. After migration to ios 5 / ios 5.1 the function doesn't work any more and i have to login manually, each time.
I use the same iPhone, telekom phone number, telekom login account id, telekom account password. The manual login works without problem. Nothing else has changed, but the ios upgrade. So it seams to be a bug in the ios upgrade.
I have an iPhone 5 and whenever i connect it using a USB cord to my laptop to use my Personal Hotspot, my laptop accept it and everything goes well until i want to use the internet. Whenever i want to use the internet the pages dont load for instance google doesn't load and then it tells me no internet access but on my desktop it shows that I have internet.
the 7.0 mpx camera app worked fine on iPhone 5 before I upgraded to iOS 8. Now the screen is black. Also won't work on 5s that upgraded to iOS 8. How can I fix this? Tried deleting and uploading again.
id like to know who has a nokia e66, performed the v.500 upgrade and has GPS that doesn't work anymore after doing the upgrade, am i the only one?? what did the new upgrade changed? how to fix this? i did all i could think of.. format memory card, reset phone, reinstall firmware etc etc. before upgrade it was working like a charm, getting signal fast and all. tried to enable and disable a-positioning, etc etc, resetted, removed battery etc etc.... and i upgraded the firmware with Nokia Ovi Suite for the note.. so the "good" stuff.
I recently upgraded my N95 8 Gb to the newest software. Apparently it worked with no problems, but I just discovered that autorotate does'nt work now. It came with the upgrade before, and I will miss it for sure. Is it a known problem, or must I repeate the upgrade.
I got the 3.2 upgrade for my 3G Xoom a week or so ago; I understood that when the upgrade came, it would work with SD cards just like the WiFI-only Xoom upgrade. Today I stuck a SanDisk micro SD into the slot, and I got an option in "Settings" to mount the SD, but it won't mount. Neither will computer (Vista OS) recognize an SD, nor will it create a Xoom Media section in computer file explorer when Xoom is connected by USB as the Motorola help site describes; all I get is the original Xoom folder that I had pre-3.2.
I am a blackberry developer working on a recording software. Just did an OS upgrade on my 9800 when I saw an upgrade alert on BlackBerry Desktop Software. The OS after upgrade is 6.0 bundle 2342 (v6.0.0.526 platform 6.6.0.195)Now when I run my application to do the voice record (WAV format, not AMR ), I keep getting an error "Requested bitrate is not supported", I tried different bitrate (8000,16000, 44100, 48000....), none of them supported.I used to use bitrate=8000 for recording and it worked, but now it throw above exception.I even change encoding bit from 16 to 8bit, channel from 1 to 2, didn't work.
With Android 4.4.4 my xperia Z2 screen mirroring was successfull with Samsung Smart TV.Now after Lollipop upgrade when I try screen mirroring I obtain an error message "Mirroring error. The output device doesn't support HDCP...."
I upgraded to lollipop today, all fine except my mobile data doesn't work.Tried turning off and on, switching to airplane mode and back, and changing mobile operator and back, still not working.
I have a big issue with the Hotspot of my iPhone, I've upgraded my iOs to 5.1.1 (I know its an old version but its my first upgrade of my old iphone 4...).Â
I've tried the solutions below:
1- I don't see the Personal Hotspot in "Setting > General > Network > Personal Hotspot".
2- I don't see the "Internet Tethering" in "Network > Mobile Data Network > Internet Tethering
3- I've tried to reset Network Settings using the path ""Setting > General > reset > reset Network Settings"
4- I don't have the Onavo application in my phone.
5- I've tried my sim card on the iphone of my friend, and we can see the Hotspot in his iphone, so it’s not an issue of the CARRIER.
6- I don't have any Profile installed on my iphone.Â
All these steps are done, but still have the same problem
itunes IOS 5.1 upgrade has set personal hotspot linked to an O2 web page its a vodaphone iPhone 4, itunes unlocked, and on GiffGaff network the O2 page obviously does not open as its not an O2 sim how can i change this
As a t-mobile user I used the personal hotspot for about 18 months without any problems till end of february! Yesterday, after a holiday break, it refuses to work!
I switched to w-lan hotspot, this worked! Could it be that iOS 5.1 caused this?!
I have a iPhone 4 WITH the Personal Hotspot package thru Verizon Wireless. When I try to connect my laptop to the Hotspot, it says its connected with excellent signal, and then say it has limited or no connectivity. If you try to open up Internet Explorer it just says that it cant connect to the internet. When i go to details, it has an IP address, but no gateway or DNS addresses. My laptop is Panasonic Toughbook 29 running Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 3.
For handof, SMS, phone calls, they are connected to same wifi, so they can connected with each other ( in same apple id) but for instant hotspot there is no WiFi, so how will mac turn ON hotspot of iPhone.
When I use my iphone4 as a hotspot, I run through all the required settings but my computer does not recognized my iphone4. I check the signal which has 5 bars and AT&T then an "E".. I expected to see a 3G so I reset the system and still received an "E". So my deduction is that the Hotspot will not work without a 3G signal.
A couple days ago, this happened, but it did not work after many force restarts. I restored it to factory settings, and I got to the part where it says to let your phone restart, but after it did, the iPhone turned off and now it will not turn back on. iTunes cannot see it and I have tried charging it and it does not work. It had iOS 5.1.
Has anyone else got Mobile Hotspot to work? I've got an A953 (UK unlocked) and it upgraded to Gingerbread fine, and I can connect to the Internet on the phone. When I start Mobile Hotspot, my laptop can see the phone and connect to it (receive an IP address by DHCP). However I can't connect through the phone to the rest of the Internet.Does it have something to do with me being on T-Mobile USA? Unfortunately I'm not really able to test other options, but it would be good to know if it work successfully for others.
I have the iPhone 4 3G and also have a Kindle Touch. Can I set the phone to do a portable hotspot so I can use my Kindle without having to go to a Wi-Fi hotspot place?
Ive been trying to set up the wireless mobile hotspot to work with my laptop. I can get my laptop to connect to the hotspot and authenticate ok but its status never progresses past 'local only' so I have no access to the internet. I cant see anything wrong with my settings either phone or laptop side, and USB tethering works fine.
