Aug 17, 2010I dropped my N85 on the side walk from about 5 feet. Now its not turning ON. Can you please suggest any tricks I can do to try to make it work?

I tried to take the battery out immediately. 2 days later, I put the battery back, it seems to work well EXCEPT the middle / main button T.T. I tried to hit that button hard but it's not working.

IPhone :: 4s Screen Stopped Working After Dropped It?
Jun 15, 2012so i dropped my iphone 4s flat on the back a few feet from the ground. so worst case should be the back is shattered. the back is shattered the front is flawless but the screen wont work. I tried a soft restart and putting it in dfu mode. nothing worked. I tried hitting it on the back to see if something jusyt got out of place but nope. When i plug my phone into my computer it senses it and syncs it but my phone keeps vibrating like it can only charge for a few seconds. W hat should i do i would rather not take it to apple and pay half the price of the phone to get it fixed. I took the back faceplate off and everything looked fine. The screen is just messed up.

Mar 14, 2011My Blackberry Storm 9530 was dropped and suddenly stopped working. There is no damage to the phone or to the screen. Everything looks perfect. But when I turn it on, red light flashes for few seconds. It flashes for about 15 seconds then goes black. The four buttons on the bottom light up for few seconds.I tried Application Loader Wizard but there were no applications to be downloaded.But when I connect it to Blackberry Desktop Manager, the LCD comes back showing the signal of empty Battery. Replaced the battery but it is still working.

Feb 5, 2010So i've been using att for about two months now since switching from Verizon. Everything was fine at first but recently i would say within the past month i've been dropping calls and having problems with the data services. I'll be streaming slacker radio and all of a sudden it stops and i have to reboot to get it working again. The dropped calls thing is pretty much random. Im running 5.0.0.405.
Anyone else having this problem? I mean the whole surfing while talking thing is nice but if this keeps up im going to have to just bite the bullet pay the early term fee and switch back!

Jun 3, 2012my phone dropped in a puddle of water last night. i quickly pulled it out but of course water got into it. it was working fine at first then this afternoon it started freezing up on me. the phone now works except for the keys. when i open up a blank SMS sheet or open up WhatsApp the cursor starts moving on its own as if the space key is stuck and i have to press the middle button a few times b4 i get a response. Any solutions? i tried blow drying it, and i put it in a bag of rice for a few minutes. should i leave it in the rice overnight?!

Feb 18, 2012I played around with the HDMI output, after installing the new version of Nokia Big Screen. The video quality was miserable (I have a 720p demo video from Philips for testing purpose). I thought it was from Big Screen application, so I uninstalled it, but there was no change.
In short the screen is way too overscan (part of menu goes out of screen), the TV output format switch in Accessories has no effect (was this active only for analog output ? can't remember and I don't have an analog cable at hand to check), but the worst thing is the video quality is horrible for a HD image, resolution seems to be low, outlines are exaggerated and the contrast is too high, like the tonal range is missing.
I tried on two different brands LCD TV displays and on one of them on both native HDMI and DVI-compatible input HDMI. At the same time connecting my PC to the DVI-compatible input and playing the same video shows a perfect image.
I barely recall that the image was very good before, but I have my N8 only ~1,5 months old so perhaps I have not accumulated much experience on this. Still, even without background, I qualify the actual image quality as "miserable". What HD? Looks worse than SD.

On a discussion on beta labs D.Dinning said that there's no need to install the previously released camera update for n8 after updating to belle.

May 17, 2012I dropped my iPhone 3G onto hard tiles and the top half of the front screen popped out. Was getting flickering visuals on the screen as I tried to press the phone back together. I realized the power button had somehow turned sideways, so I attempted to push it back into place. The rest of the screen then popped off. I reconnected the wires but could not see anything on my screen. Put it on the charger last night and heard it beep like normal. When I woke up this morning, though, it was completely unresponsive. No visuals, no sounds, plugged into the computer and it's not being recognized. Tried to reset, still not getting a response.
