Jun 23, 2010Not bashing on the phone, just thought it was funny. Just received my wife's new ip4 (first iPhone ever for us) and she made a phone call to her parents. After about 10 minutes, the call just abruptly dropped. Coming from Verizon, I knew this would happen, just not so soon. I guess it's all just part of being an iPhone owner.

I didn't get until now a idea why and how and also I didn't see until know a structure behind this failure. But it haappens not always and I think it have to do something with the signal coverage.

May 17, 2012I dropped my iPhone 3G onto hard tiles and the top half of the front screen popped out. Was getting flickering visuals on the screen as I tried to press the phone back together. I realized the power button had somehow turned sideways, so I attempted to push it back into place. The rest of the screen then popped off. I reconnected the wires but could not see anything on my screen. Put it on the charger last night and heard it beep like normal. When I woke up this morning, though, it was completely unresponsive. No visuals, no sounds, plugged into the computer and it's not being recognized. Tried to reset, still not getting a response.

Jul 5, 2012If my handset is the cause of dropped calls, wouldnt it be safe to assume that it should be dropping calls everywhere and not in just one area? If it's one area then it would be a Sprint issue and not Apple issue, correct?

Jun 18, 2014Dropped my iphone 5s 64gb on the cement floor. The fuzzy red screen appeared then slowly faded off. I thought there were some wires loose. I slap the phone hard and it sent itself to the recovery mode. I tried to restore the Iphone 5s with itunes but the download goes halfway then an unknown error (-50) showed up. the itunes wasn't able to pickup the iphone's serial number. While my iphone is white, the picture on itunes shows the black iphone 5s

Dropped IPhone 5c / Screen Is Just Black?
Jun 24, 2014my iphone 5c fell in the toilet. When I got home, I put it in rice and left it on the charger. After about an hour it turned on. I looked up things online and it said to take the back off of my phone so I did, and my screen had a red line going through the middle. But my phone still worked perfectly fine, besides the fact that the screen had red around it. Now today, when I was walking through the halls my phone fell and when I picked it up my phone was black. It was working this morning before I went to school, so then I just left my phone alone all day at school hoping it would work once I got home and put it in rice and I was getting my notifications, and hearing sounds throughout the day.. SO right when I got home I dropped it in rice. I put it on the charger and it wont stop vibrating every 2 minutes. Also, I tried holding the home screen button and lock button no luck.

Yesterday I noticed that my iPhone had only about 25% of my usual contacts in it. I thought I would sync it today and make sure everything copied over well. Before syncing I checked address book on my mac to find that it was completely empty.
Any idea why these would be missing? I have a backup but it is from before I got my iPhone 2 weeks ago and had my contacts carried over from my old phone I can recover the contacts, but it would be a slow and long process and I don't want to have them go missing again.

Mar 20, 2012Three days ago, my iphone4s would last about 12 to 15 hours on a charge. Overnight, it dropped to three hours. This was Sunday March 18th. Did something happen that would cause this? I've restarted the phone several times. I havent changed any settings or changed my usage habits. I took the IOS 5.1 update over a week ago so that's not it.
The battery almost drains while i'm looking at it.

Mar 30, 2012Right now my iPhone 4s suddenly dropped the WiFi signal to my home network and is now unable to connect to the network.
Things I have tried:Turning phone on/off, this worked for about 10 minutes then it happened again.Restarting my router, did not work.Restoring router to factory default, did not work.Forgetting network, did not work.
I made sure my mac address is not being blocked.
I have been blocking a couple of mac addresses that have the host name "unknown" and IP "unknown" on my router, however this should not be affecting it since my phone shows up as "iPhone" on the device list. No other device is connected to my WiFi.
I have a Motorola SURFboard SBG6580 Docis 3.0 modem w/ built in wifi if it helps.

Apr 16, 2012The phone is physically intact, but you can see the LCD is cracked behond the glass. I have tried plugging it in, tried putting it on the charger, and resetting it using the off and home buttons, bit response. I don't need the phone to work, but I do need to be bale to back it up in order to restore to the new phone. Is there any way to extract the data or back up the hard drive without repairing the phone? Just curious what my options are before I spend cash trying to fix the phone and find out there was another way to get the data.

Then after awhile the screen turns back to solid black.

May 14, 2012I recently dropped my White Iphone 4s down a toilet on a night out!!! I quickly picked it up and took it home and dryed in off and placed it in a bowl of rice and a few days later everything was fine and working just like normal apart from some water under the screen. Also the Wi-Fi option on my iphone just isn't displayed and greyed out.
I have also recently updated the software on the phone to the new 5.1.1 which i have seen there has been problems with about the wi-fi dropping and not being displayed. I would just like some advice if anyone else has had this problem and if which i think it probably is, the hardware has become loose inside the phone and its not the software.

Jun 4, 2012i've had my iphone 4s for about half a year now and the sound coming out of the built-in speaker has been working fine until today. i didn't do anything out of the ordinary. i just opened up a video from Internet and noticed the sound was considerably less clear than usual. when i use earphones, the sound is crystal clear but when it comes out of the speaker, it's very scratchy and fuzzy. earlier today it was working fine. rebooting my iphone didn't help. i don't know if it's a firmware problem as i updated to 5.1.1 as soon as it was availible.

Jun 15, 2012so i dropped my iphone 4s flat on the back a few feet from the ground. so worst case should be the back is shattered. the back is shattered the front is flawless but the screen wont work. I tried a soft restart and putting it in dfu mode. nothing worked. I tried hitting it on the back to see if something jusyt got out of place but nope. When i plug my phone into my computer it senses it and syncs it but my phone keeps vibrating like it can only charge for a few seconds. W hat should i do i would rather not take it to apple and pay half the price of the phone to get it fixed. I took the back faceplate off and everything looked fine. The screen is just messed up.
