Jun 22, 2014Recently bought my wife a 1320, as my son loves his 920 and she was getting sick of her Galaxy S3 having issues following an update, which has messed her phone up !All was going well, but she's now finding that the phone won't auto-rotate when browsing - it works fine when viewing photos or texting etc., so assume the accelerometers are working ok..
Also, have changed settings on outlook, to remove US holidays and have added UK holidays, but the UK dates haven't pulled through to the phone......am I missing something `?Lastly - blootooth keeps dropping out.

May 13, 2012I had my iphone in call forwarding mode but the iphone did not have the call forward icon showing at the top of the iphone. Any ideas what caused this? I missed several calls because I did not know my iphone was forwarding messages. When I turned call forwarding off, then on again, the call forward icon showed up. Was this a one time "glitch"?

May 8, 2010How to browse (intranet) websites via VPN connection? I have installed Lotus MC on my N73. Connection itself works fine, I can see correct status, can ping my phone from PC by phone's intranet IP, telnet from phone to intranet server is always ok even by HTTP 80 port, both by hostname and IP. But I cannot get to intranet web using neither standard Nokia browser, nor Opera Mini.
With standard browser, it's just impossible to select VPN access point (present in the list, but not selectable) and Opera Mini allows to select my VPN connection, but all I can see there is an error that server is unavailable.
Nokia :: N900 - Best Web Browsing Experience
Apr 25, 2010Frankly speaking with most of the Fancy Features that the N900 offers it is a question, how many users choose to use it to its full potential. For a user like me I am gonna use my phone a lot to surf the web, check some cool sites etc.
I have been also checking out Motorola's Droid which has a 3.7" Inch screen with 16:9 wide screen Ratio the other day I had a chance to surf the web on it, and let me tell you guys it was a very good experience. I have still not had my hands on the Nokia N900. Does the N900 also give the same viewing pleasure, which includes excellent picture quality, wide vieweing(what I mean by wide viewing is, not watching anything in constricted, narrow view) Real Life picture colours etc.
What I am saying is with the Droid I did not feel I was watching anything in a very constricted and Narrow view, is the experience and the feeling also the same with the N900.

Jun 16, 2010I've E72 for few weeks. In general,I'm satisfied with what I get. A major exception is a strange resets I've almost allways during browsing over WiFi. Browser isn't an issue,it happens with both Nokia browser and Opera. It doesn't happen when I connect with mobile provider GSM. When I run email client over WiFi it works perfectly,well except it restarted once or twice when tried to handle large html messages with big attachments.
Phone OS / firmware is a last version.

2/ GPS compass for wikitude drive
3/ playing game as uae4all with good speed
at the start of my search i would absolutly the N900 after seeing lot of but and battery life i go back to another phone and see that best battery life is normal phone with keyboard not with touchscreen so i hesitate beetwen the E75 with big screen and new E72.

Aug 19, 2011I encounter this problem, usually when I browse. I usually browse with Opera Mini. If I open some portal and click on few pages (one at a time) very often I got out of memory problem and Opera Mini quits. I have to start it again. I don't know how to free up more internal memory, as there is 50MB of it and I moved all programs and files that are not locked to memory card. Now there is a little more then 23MB of internal memory free and that's all I could free up. All other is taken by system files and folders.

Aug 13, 2010This isn't a major issue either but something that keeps bothering me.I recently acquired the nokia 6700 slide phone to replace my older samsung slide phone.So far I'm fairly satisfied with the 6700 and the functions and applications suits my needs.There is however one thing which I haven't been able to change nor do I know if it is possible to change.my old samsung slide, when browsing the menus and applications, closing the slide would automatically close the menu or application I was using and return the phone to the home screen. In 6700, it doesn't close the application or menu that I'm browsing but rather keeps it open in the background as long as I manually navigate away from the menu or application. I know that the power button returns you to your home screen but is it possible to change the slide setting so that simply closing the slide would automatically close the menu or application and return the phone to the home screen?This is not a major issue but I still find it irritating since I'm used to just closing the slide to be able to see the home screen the next time I open it. Do I just have to get used to pushing the power button to get back to the home screen before closing the slide?

Jun 27, 2010Just brought a new Nokia X6 for my wife and I have an odd problem.I can start the music player from the home screen and skip forward and backwards a track with no problems. But I can't adjust the volume.If I start playing music from the home screen and it's too loud or quiet, I have to open the music player itself before I can change the volume.This seems very odd to me, and I have googled it and looked all the way through the forums here for the X6 and no one else has mentioned it. Does that mean it's only me having this trouble? Or does everyone else not use the music player from the home screen?
Also, I noticed that I cant fast forward and rewind a track from the home screen. If I hold my finger on the Foward button for an extended period of time, the track continues playing as normal and then ether skips to the next one when I take my finger off, or all the player buttons disapear from the home screen when I take my finger off.Again, if I do this in the music player itself, the track will fast forward or rewind after a second or two holding the 'button' down. Anyone else tried this?
Cseries :: Nokia C5 Clock Showing Wrong Time (15 To 30 Minutes Forward)
Oct 6, 2011I've been using my Nokia C5-00 for about a year now without any problems. Recently however, it started to show wrong time (like it was going too fast). The offset is usually about 15-30 minutes forward. Initially I thought that its just few seconds per minute faster than it should be (like a normal mechanism watch) and I tried to explain it with processor clock being somehow off, but I noticed that it must at one point just skip these several minutes.
I've never spotted this "skipping" explicitly but it happens once per 10-15 hours, I guess. E.g. it shows proper time the whole day and when I go to sleep but next morning its off several minutes. It happens both with automatic time update On and Off. I haven't updated my software for a couple of months now, but the one I got is up to date (according to Ovi).

Dec 9, 2012Cant understand why the backup to PC of vital Lumia phone information such as contacts, calendar and messges can not be easily and quickly achieved as with the Nokia suite and N8. I believe it is synced automatically to Sky-drive but I cannot find evidence of this. I would like to have control of this data for easy retrieval and stored on my PC. Windows phone software on my PC is sub standard in comparison with Nokia Suite. It is clunky, contacts cannot be backed up, photos have no picture reference when transferred and the overall Windows Phone software on my PC is second rate in contrast to the Windows Phone 8 phone experience. Can anyone enlighten me on how I can easily copy my contacts to PC. No problem getting contacts into the phone. Just unclear on how to get a copy of them out.
