May 25, 2012Periodically I find my outgong emails (via Outlook) being dumped in the Drafts folder when I send them. Some time later (might be a few seconds, sometimes longer) I find a message in the in-box which says something like 'Windows Phone is unable to send your mail'. I assume this happens in poor signal conditions altough it does happen when the phone appears to be reporting a strong signal. Once in the drafts folder, I don't seem to be able to send the mail message from there - I have to move it before I can send it.
I can't find any documentation of theis behaviour so I don't know if it's supposed to do this; the circumstances under which it happens; and whether I can configure it to do something else
This is irritating on so many levels. Why doesn't the phone just leave the message in the outbox until it has connectiviity? If it's not going to send the message, why not tell me then? As it is, I often miss the failure message so I don't realise the message has not been sent until a long time after. And why can't I simply click on the message in draft and select 'send' from there?

Dec 29, 2012 there appears to be a bug with either Windows Phone 8 or the Nokia Lumia 920 whereby the phone will intermittently not lock. For example, after placing a call and pressing the power button to lock the phone, the lock sound is played but the phone does not lock correctly it stays on the Start screen. I've set the password counter to 30 minutes as I don't want to enter the password every time I need to use my phone. However, sometimes I'd like to password-lock the phone immediately (like today when I would have liked to leave it on a table in a client's office during lunch break). I haven't been able to find such a functionality. Am I correct it does not exist?

Dec 30, 2012I need a solution for showing the Artist Image of an Mp3 file on the lock screen!
I have previously succeeded with adding an artist image to an Mp3 file and transferring it to my Lumia 920. The image of the artist shows up in the Music+Videos section.
The problem now is when I go to Settings and Lock Screen options and choose to Show artist when playing music the artist image isn't showing up at locked screen! The screen turns in default grey color.

May 27, 2010I have a Nokia x6 16 gb..I had it for about a week in which time I added 14gb of music and the uk maps..All was working perfectly. However.... Last Saturday I decided to use the "comes with music" voucher that came with it..I selected the music I wanted and downloaded it and was told that I had to download the DRM software to play...I clicked yes and then waited and waited..it seemed my phone had frozen as ovi player would not transfer any music to it.. I unplugged it and tried to plug back in but got the dreaded "mtp device driver failed". I have tried everything I have read on these forums and the web including:- Deleting the folder in the private folder on the mass storage card. performing a hard reset on the phone (although my music was still on the card?) Deleting all of the nokia software and running the nokia cleaner and reinstalling... Doing the above but disabling Windows media player and reanabling it a later date still no joy.. I have windows 7 home premium 64 bit on my desktop so no options to reinstall WMP just disable. I have tried to plug it into my wifes' laptop which has windows 7 home premium 32 bit and I get the same message however her nokia 5800 works fine in her laptop..

Feb 6, 2015I have a desktop pc with the 8.1 OS and the Nokia 1020 with the same. When I open IE on the Nokia, the favorites folder is synced with my desktop favorites. These favorites show up in two places on the phone.
(1) The favorites menu (2) a folder icon at the bottom of the favorites menu.
I can't figure out how to delete all favorites in both places on the phone only. I wish to keep the favorites on my desktop IE.
In the Nokia menu, I turned off all sync functions. In OneDrive, I turned off all sync functions. I even factory reset the phone after turning off all sync functions. The favorites for IE are still there in both places.

Mar 25, 2014I used to move my photo and video files from my Lumia 1020 to my PC (Windows XP updated to last version) connecting by USB cable. Now the Camera Roll folder is not visible anymore on the PC. I see all other folders (Sampe Pictures, Saved Pictures, Screenshots) in Pictures folder and all of content of those folders, also I'm able to modify it (copy, delete, rename etc.), but the folder Camera Roll is missing, also in the properties of Pictures folder the information about Camera Roll folder and s content is missing (the number of files in this folder doesn't shows up in counting: 3 folders and 84 files instead of 4 folders and 800 files). Also re-connecting the phone and the cable after shutting down the phone and turning it on automatically by connecting it by USB cable to PC This is an exact copy from Camera Roll folder of my Lumia 1020 is not visible anymore on a PC - Microsoft Community .

May 28, 2014I am doing a favour for my in-laws to take some photos inside some house that they are thinking of purchasing (they live at the other side of the country and can't travel to view it).
My photos are automatically uploaded to my sky drive over mobile so sharing an album with them and they can view the photos in real time as I am taking photos (in theory!). Trouble is.... any photos I take goes to the camera roll folder/album. Is there anyway I can make any photos I snap to go to a certain album instead of camera roll?
Or does it sound like I need to get a specific app (though will it auto upload I wonder?)

1. Clicking the blackberry button
2. Clicking messages
3. Clicking the BB button again and scrolling to "View Folder"
There I have options like "browser messages" "facebook messages" "mms inbox" etc.
There are two sections SMS inbox and SMS outbox. I can get to my text messages that way, but its really tedious. If I click on SMS inbox it takes me to what used to be my text screen. When I click the BB button again, there are no "move options"Anyone know how to get it back to being its own icon on the front screen?
