From the 920 MS Account and the PC Outlook.com, messages are created & saved in the respective Drafts folder...but those messages are not synced. In comparison, Sent messages are synced perfectly.
View 2 RepliesPeriodically I find my outgong emails (via Outlook) being dumped in the Drafts folder when I send them. Some time later (might be a few seconds, sometimes longer) I find a message in the in-box which says something like 'Windows Phone is unable to send your mail'. I assume this happens in poor signal conditions altough it does happen when the phone appears to be reporting a strong signal. Once in the drafts folder, I don't seem to be able to send the mail message from there - I have to move it before I can send it.
I can't find any documentation of theis behaviour so I don't know if it's supposed to do this; the circumstances under which it happens; and whether I can configure it to do something else
This is irritating on so many levels. Why doesn't the phone just leave the message in the outbox until it has connectiviity? If it's not going to send the message, why not tell me then? As it is, I often miss the failure message so I don't realise the message has not been sent until a long time after. And why can't I simply click on the message in draft and select 'send' from there?
I have bought 6303i classic and it seems to be an okay phone, except one thing: there are no Drafts folder! Is it possible that such a basic feature is missing in a world famous brand of a phone?! I am having problems exchanging this phone now because technically there is nothing wrong with it, but I am not at all happy with the absence of the Drafts feature. I didn't check it when I was buying the phone because I assumed that this folder would be present in ANY modern phone these days! Can anyone suggest any way to update this feature into the phone (I hear there is a separate SMS application that you can download onto your phone).

The problem is:Schoolagenda: is syncing good but it took forever and after I deleted another agenda. So no problems here (for now)Facebook verjaardagen: Still has the old name (Facebook test). I changed the name a while after the creation Werkagenda: Created this as last and has a few entries. Doesn't show up on my phone at all?

My work email is IMAP and although everything is working, my sent folder on the phone seems local to the device. Google shows a couple of different options with the most reasonable one being "setting the IMAP path prefix" but the email app on the G4 has no such setting.
This is a pretty big deal for me as I have tons of email and need the Inbox and Sent folders to be synced with the server. (by the way, I have disabled automatic sync, but for a different reason, i.e. to not allow my gmail account to sync contacts on the phone. But the auto-sync is not something that affects the Sent folder)...
I am dragging and dropping files in to the local DRIVE folder that installed itself on my laptop. Been doing it for 2 + years and all was working fine.I have just noticed that since late last year - or possible early this year- that nothing has synced to DRIVE on my HTC one M8 (... nor are they in the DRIVE app if i open it up on the laptop)

I just had to rebuild a BES box using the Xpress Server software 5.0.1. After reactivating all the phones, I noticed that the subfolders were all empty. Here is what I did...
1. I double checked the Web Desktop Manager to ensure that the redirection was turned on.
2. Enabled folder redirection on the handheld and SELECTED ALL subfolders.
a. I read that the messages would have to be moved to another folder, then readded for the sync to catch, so I did...
3. Gave it 1/2 hour and it still didn't work...

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia x6 16 gb..I had it for about a week in which time I added 14gb of music and the uk maps..All was working perfectly. However.... Last Saturday I decided to use the "comes with music" voucher that came with it..I selected the music I wanted and downloaded it and was told that I had to download the DRM software to play...I clicked yes and then waited and waited..it seemed my phone had frozen as ovi player would not transfer any music to it.. I unplugged it and tried to plug back in but got the dreaded "mtp device driver failed". I have tried everything I have read on these forums and the web including:- Deleting the folder in the private folder on the mass storage card. performing a hard reset on the phone (although my music was still on the card?) Deleting all of the nokia software and running the nokia cleaner and reinstalling... Doing the above but disabling Windows media player and reanabling it a later date still no joy.. I have windows 7 home premium 64 bit on my desktop so no options to reinstall WMP just disable. I have tried to plug it into my wifes' laptop which has windows 7 home premium 32 bit and I get the same message however her nokia 5800 works fine in her laptop..

Not sure if anyone's facing the same problem as mine, but my old SMS (text messages) auto turned into blank drafts. Almost all my old messages are now missing.
I record very important data at work on my phone and save them as an SMS draft, while I was selecting all the text to be copied, I pasted different data over it.
I want to know how I can restore the draft to where it was a day ago for example.
when I sync photo folder in to iPhone it creates photo library itself, is there any way to disable this?

View 5 Replies View RelatedBasically, if I begin to type an e-mail message (doesn't matter what e-mail account I use) and stop typing it (where it makes a draft), if I cancel/delete that draft and never send the e-mail, the draft still exists on my phone somewhere I can't see. How do I know this? Because, just about every day, I'll get some notifications in the notification center re: those messages being unread/unsent. Clicking on those messages will pull me into the draft I was working on, but tapping "cancel" again (instead of send) on the draft will no longer prompt the dialog confirming I want to cancel and delete the draft. It just exits the message. Modifying the draft will cause the prompt to show up again, but clicking delete does not get rid of the draft on my phone. Sending the draft does not get rid of it either. It will reappear later. I have 3 e-mail accounts on my phone and it happens with ALL of them. One of them is POP and the other 2 are Exchange based. I reproduced it again yesterday with my Comcast POP account, this time actually saving the draft and deleting it for kicks.
1. Started typing an e-mail message.
2. Decided to cancel the e-mail message.
3. Prompt occured to delete or save the draft.
4. Selected delete.
5. Draft appears to be GONE.
6. Sometime later, in the notification center, my draft will show up there. I can tap the draft in the notification center to be taken back to it.
7. Tapping cancel at this point will just exit out of the draft. Sending the draft will send the e-mail message but it will appear in the notification center later. Typing more text on the draft, hitting cancel and delete will still cause the draft to show back up later in the notification center.
I've also tried a varation of saving the first draft, going into the drafts folder under Mail and deleting the draft there... but it comes back.ay try a erase all content and settings then reconfigure everything. is these drafts are searchable in the spotlight but you can't find them normally in the Mail app.
Edit: Forgot to add that I also deleted all the e-mail accounts and readded them too.

I switched mit 8310 with a new 8900 (Vodafone Germany with OS5) and i am very confused about the new SMS-View. For me SMS is very important, but now it is not fully usable, because i can not write SMS-Drafts (10-20) with this new s**t Chat-Bubble-Thing. How can i switch to the old View and use SMS like it is on the 8310? My main-Problem is the Draft-Functionality .

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a desktop pc with the 8.1 OS and the Nokia 1020 with the same. When I open IE on the Nokia, the favorites folder is synced with my desktop favorites. These favorites show up in two places on the phone.
(1) The favorites menu (2) a folder icon at the bottom of the favorites menu.
I can't figure out how to delete all favorites in both places on the phone only. I wish to keep the favorites on my desktop IE.
In the Nokia menu, I turned off all sync functions. In OneDrive, I turned off all sync functions. I even factory reset the phone after turning off all sync functions. The favorites for IE are still there in both places.
When I take a picture it automatically goes into the Camera Roll folder. How do I move a picture from "camera roll" to "another folder" using the phone? Up to now I've had to download the picture to my computer and then use Windows Explorer to move it. I'm sure it must be able to be done on the phone itself.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI used to move my photo and video files from my Lumia 1020 to my PC (Windows XP updated to last version) connecting by USB cable. Now the Camera Roll folder is not visible anymore on the PC. I see all other folders (Sampe Pictures, Saved Pictures, Screenshots) in Pictures folder and all of content of those folders, also I'm able to modify it (copy, delete, rename etc.), but the folder Camera Roll is missing, also in the properties of Pictures folder the information about Camera Roll folder and s content is missing (the number of files in this folder doesn't shows up in counting: 3 folders and 84 files instead of 4 folders and 800 files). Also re-connecting the phone and the cable after shutting down the phone and turning it on automatically by connecting it by USB cable to PC This is an exact copy from Camera Roll folder of my Lumia 1020 is not visible anymore on a PC - Microsoft Community .

I have tried linking it via microusb to my PC and it does not display.
When I was using Insider Preview, Messaging+Skype was working fairly good. I was able to send skype messages get skype messages, but most importantly I was able to see if my contact is also in my Skype account or not. Now with my 950XL although many people are also my Skype friends I cannot see Skype option in their regular SMS threads, a different thread with different name pops up when they send a message, but I cannot link that contact name with their "REAL CONTACT CARD". It is really weird that a feature works better on a Beta version than the RTM version on the Flagship phone.
