When I was using Insider Preview, Messaging+Skype was working fairly good. I was able to send skype messages get skype messages, but most importantly I was able to see if my contact is also in my Skype account or not. Now with my 950XL although many people are also my Skype friends I cannot see Skype option in their regular SMS threads, a different thread with different name pops up when they send a message, but I cannot link that contact name with their "REAL CONTACT CARD". It is really weird that a feature works better on a Beta version than the RTM version on the Flagship phone.
I am a mac user and I have just bought a Lumia 800. Installed Windows Phone 7 Connector that sync only images and music, but how to keep synchronized the more important stuff:

So I was wondering how to sync my contacts from my google account to my phone. My wife had a Samsung and I synced the contacts with her google account but the contacts won't sync back to her new Icon. Is this not possible?
I am having problems syncing facebook and skype to my address book. When I install either app and select the option to sync, all that gets created is an 'unknown' group containing all the contacts from these services, none of which are ever linked to my contact list.
I have European version of Lumia 920 and today installed Skype. I cannot turn Skype off. How do I close this application? I cannot even change the status to offline.
First time I turned on my new Lumia 950 XL I got question about connecting Skype to Messaging. I choosed YES on that question. Now I have a second thought and would like to have it as ti was on windows mobile 8.1 Messages in one Place and Skype messages under the Skype.
I can not find how to turn it off? To separate Skype from text messaging. How to initiate same question once again so I can choose NO this time ?
I've tried to install skype on my brand new lumia 900 from the mobile device (marketplace). But it seems I can only "share". No button to download the application on the bottom of the screen confirm that skype is avaible for download for lumia 900 ? How should I process to do so ?
I just got a Lumia 950, set up all my accounts, added Skype, and now my Skype messages show up in the app AND in my Messaging hub. I wouldn't mind, but now I'm getting Messaging alerts AND Skype alerts that I have new messages when I receive a Skype message. I did find a setting in Skype that turns off the messaging alerts for Skype messages, but they're still showing up, even when I'm using Skype on my PC. In two hours of work this morning this has gone past confusing to the point of being annoying.
On my L930 (10586), I was able to go to the Messaging app and send a text to someone via Skype. That is, at the top right, there was a drop-down to select "SIM" or "Skype".
Now, it just says "SIM Text" and "No SIM", which I'm guessing means the missing SIM 2.
Is this another Dual-SIM thing (like VMM appears to not work with Dual-SIM phones) or am I doing sing wrong?
I am using skype applicaiton for lumia 920 and so far so good. When ever a new message arrives from skype , the phone notifies me with a message sound. I would like to turn it off. I don't want any sound notifications from skype.
I set Settings > Ringtones + Sounds > Ringer > On Vibrate > Off
I change the volume and tap the "ring" icon so it switches to "silent".
I also set Settings > Ringtones + Sounds > Uncheck "All other notifications" (I'm thinking Skype ringing falls under this?)
I now use another Skype account on another computer to call my Skype account.Skype and/or the Windows Phone (Lumia 1020) completely ignore my settings: the phone starts ringing through the Skype app.Is there a workaround? I got the latest update from today (Oct 2 2013).
I work with a big corporation in Tokyo and the phone starts ringing in the middle of the night.The only workaround I found is to log out of Skype completely, forcing me to log in again during the day - a pain.
I got a new Nokia Lumia Icon with Verizon Wireless contract. I installed skype and when trying to make International Voice calls, all I see the blue backgroud with Skype call outgoing icon and then nothing happens. Sometimes, the call gets active as in it shows the seconds counter of the call,but nobody can here anything on either side of the call. I do have some credit balance in my Skype account.
I tried re-installing the app but to no avail.
Previously, I had an Android device and when I tried to make same International mobile calls now in it, I am able to connect and talk without any issues. I also chatted with an Skype support team and they also couldn't get much. They said that I am reporting such type of issue for first time and told that one of their tech specialist will get in touch with me once they have completely assessed the issue.
My Nokia N9 is Skype ready - I can see my contacts, I can chat with them - but I cannot share video stream with them. I have tried to go to an Options or Setup menu - there is no such menu! Skype is even not listed in the application list. Does it mean it is just a "client" only? Can I get full Skype on my N9?
Can someone tell me how to call a PC with skype from my new Droid Razr with skype? I don't know how to add someone's PC address to my Droid address book.
Like the title says, how do you possibly delete the video call history in the integrated Skype Video app? The history shows, but when you long press on one it just pops up "details." There is no way to delete the history. If you go into phone settings and under privacy turn off access to call history for Messaging+Skype, then app will no longer load/work.
My Blackberry Device Software informs me I must set wireless synchronization In Address Book/Options to "No" to sync contacts with my macbook. Unfortunately, there is no such option. I'm running OS 10.6.8
So here is my issue: I am fairly new to HTC One and have set up Facebook, Yahoo, Gmail, Twitter. I installed the Yahoo mail app so that I could sync my Yahoo contacts to the HTC. On my phone I have unchecked all the Contacts except for Yahoo(my main contact list) in the People App. On the phone everything is fine. I have checked "Last Name First, so that all my contacts are listed by last name. Now the issue is when I connect my phone to my car through Bluetooth. When I view my phone list on the car, the vast vast majority of my contacts are listed 4 or 5 times. In addition, all my contacts are listed by First name, not last name on the car.
Yo, I just switched from the Xperia Z1S to the M8....Only issue I'm running into thus far is syncing my contacts down from Gmail. I backed up all my contacts through Gmail and I can't do the bluetooth option cause the old phone won't power up. (Not as waterproof as they claimed).
I want to sync my Outlook contacts with my HTC One but so far have not been able to do so. I tried HTC Sync with no luck, Any good (and not to complicated way) to get my contacts from Outlook to my phone?
hey everyone, i just got an tmobile touch pro 2 yesterday and i was wonderin if anyone knew how i could sync my contacts from my old device to this one. My old device is a helio ocean. I was able to save all my contacts from my old device onto my computer in a ".csv" file. Does anyone know how to get thetouch pro 2 to accept that file and add all contacts to addressbook? I have over 250 contacts and its gonna be hell trying to add all of them along with all of there sub information
As the title states, I noticed yesterday that new/updated contacts and memos are not syncing back and forth between my hosted Exchange server and my BlackBerry. I confirmed that they're syncing fine between PC's through the Exchange server, but nothing is being pushed or pulled from my BlackBerry.
I called my host last night, and they got me to go in and update some settings. Under the DNS Manager they got me to 'Restore Defaults' on MX (Mail Exchanger). The two that I circled in the picture below were missing until I did the restore.
So that was last night, and the syncing is still not happening between my BlackBerry and the server. I also confirmed (funny how tech support never asked me this) that wireless reconciliation is enabled for both contacts and memos. When I did the restore it did say that it could take an hour to take effect, and sometimes up to 48 hours. Maybe I just need to wait? It's been about 14 hours now.
Oh and side note, my howardforums subscription email notifications conveniently stopped as soon as I did this. I very much doubt that it's related, as all other email is being received fine.
I see all my contacts on my mac but they are not syncing to my iphone 4 plus I have my wife's contacts now syncing to mine. I have created a separate user account for her but I still get her contacts and not all of mine.
My contacts are not syncing between my iPhon and iMac. I'm using an iPhone 4 running 5.1.1 and an iMac with Lion. iCloud syncs my calendar dates and my Notes, but isn't syncing my contacts.
A couple of weeks ago my L 800 stopped syncing contacts, skydrive, calendar, inbuilt facebook.Syncing with Zune is no problem, but normally it synced everything wireless wherever I was..I checked the internet settings for maybe there was a Battery save mode on, but everything is normal...
I have been using MfE for multiple years on several different E series devices, but with the E72 (Nokia Messaging) there seems to be a lot of issues which do not improve the overall quality.Since last week I'm experiencing a problem that my contacts are not synchronized anymore. I'm working with Exchange 2003 SP2 and has been running fine up till last week. The E72 is updated with the latest software releases.Is anyone experiencing a similar problem and has a solution available?I have cross checked of course that contacts synchronizing is enabled on the device.Email, agenda and task do not have any problem.
I would just like to have their profile pics as their contacts in my phone.I read the newest version could do it but i dont have the sync option when i go settings -> facebook? Any ideas?
I am trying to sync my contacts with Gmail and I don't seem to be able to. I do see that Pkgbackup was able somehow to sync with Gmail as if I go to my contacts in gmail I can see PkgBackup however everything I try does not work. I have set it up in itunes to sync with Gmail but nothing shows up when I log into Gmail.
