hey everyone, i just got an tmobile touch pro 2 yesterday and i was wonderin if anyone knew how i could sync my contacts from my old device to this one. My old device is a helio ocean. I was able to save all my contacts from my old device onto my computer in a ".csv" file. Does anyone know how to get thetouch pro 2 to accept that file and add all contacts to addressbook? I have over 250 contacts and its gonna be hell trying to add all of them along with all of there sub information
I used to have an old LG flip-phone and an iPod Touch. I lost the iPod Touch about six months ago. This week I got my iPhone. I had to go to the Verizon store to have them take all the contacts off the LG phone and put them onto my iPod.Â
I had painstakingly pared down my iTunes music library to choice selection of checked items that were small enough to fit on the iPod touch. I didn't want to go through that process again, so I hooked my iPhone up to my computer for the first time, opened iTunes, and synced with the iPod touch backup on my computer. It would have been smart to have backed up the iPhone first, but I didn't. Since I couldn't text with the iPod Touch, it didn't occur to me that the existing texts on my iPhone would be overwritten.Â
Now all the media files and apps from my old iPod Touch are on my new iPhone 5. The new iPhone apps I downloaded yesterday are on there, too. But the contacts and texts have vanished.Â
To review: no iTunes backup of iPhone data. No iCloud backup, either-- I've never used iCloud before.Â
I downloaded Wondershare's iPhone Data Recovery program and used it to scan data on the device. The scan shows 0 contacts and only the 2 text messages that I've received this evening. Curiously, it does have my entire call history from the last week.Â
So is there any way to recover the texts from this last week?
I recently bought an iPhone and I already have an iPod touch but I never connected them to a pc, I've bought all my music on iTunes and I thought that once I registered the iPhone in the same account that all my music would sync on the iPhone but it. How to sync the music from the iPod touch onto the iPhone without using PC basically.
My Blackberry Device Software informs me I must set wireless synchronization In Address Book/Options to "No" to sync contacts with my macbook. Unfortunately, there is no such option. I'm running OS 10.6.8
So here is my issue: I am fairly new to HTC One and have set up Facebook, Yahoo, Gmail, Twitter. I installed the Yahoo mail app so that I could sync my Yahoo contacts to the HTC. On my phone I have unchecked all the Contacts except for Yahoo(my main contact list) in the People App. On the phone everything is fine. I have checked "Last Name First, so that all my contacts are listed by last name. Now the issue is when I connect my phone to my car through Bluetooth. When I view my phone list on the car, the vast vast majority of my contacts are listed 4 or 5 times. In addition, all my contacts are listed by First name, not last name on the car.
Yo, I just switched from the Xperia Z1S to the M8....Only issue I'm running into thus far is syncing my contacts down from Gmail. I backed up all my contacts through Gmail and I can't do the bluetooth option cause the old phone won't power up. (Not as waterproof as they claimed).
I want to sync my Outlook contacts with my HTC One but so far have not been able to do so. I tried HTC Sync with no luck, Any good (and not to complicated way) to get my contacts from Outlook to my phone?
As the title states, I noticed yesterday that new/updated contacts and memos are not syncing back and forth between my hosted Exchange server and my BlackBerry. I confirmed that they're syncing fine between PC's through the Exchange server, but nothing is being pushed or pulled from my BlackBerry.
I called my host last night, and they got me to go in and update some settings. Under the DNS Manager they got me to 'Restore Defaults' on MX (Mail Exchanger). The two that I circled in the picture below were missing until I did the restore.
So that was last night, and the syncing is still not happening between my BlackBerry and the server. I also confirmed (funny how tech support never asked me this) that wireless reconciliation is enabled for both contacts and memos. When I did the restore it did say that it could take an hour to take effect, and sometimes up to 48 hours. Maybe I just need to wait? It's been about 14 hours now.
Oh and side note, my howardforums subscription email notifications conveniently stopped as soon as I did this. I very much doubt that it's related, as all other email is being received fine.
I see all my contacts on my mac but they are not syncing to my iphone 4 plus I have my wife's contacts now syncing to mine. I have created a separate user account for her but I still get her contacts and not all of mine.
My contacts are not syncing between my iPhon and iMac. I'm using an iPhone 4 running 5.1.1 and an iMac with Lion. iCloud syncs my calendar dates and my Notes, but isn't syncing my contacts.
My old cell died recently and I upgraded to a HTC Touch. I need to manually enter all my contacts onto the phone but I don't want to do it with the tiny keyboard. Is there some way I can enter them onto my PC and then import the contacts? I have them on my company outlook account but I can't sync with that.
I have been using MfE for multiple years on several different E series devices, but with the E72 (Nokia Messaging) there seems to be a lot of issues which do not improve the overall quality.Since last week I'm experiencing a problem that my contacts are not synchronized anymore. I'm working with Exchange 2003 SP2 and has been running fine up till last week. The E72 is updated with the latest software releases.Is anyone experiencing a similar problem and has a solution available?I have cross checked of course that contacts synchronizing is enabled on the device.Email, agenda and task do not have any problem.
I would just like to have their profile pics as their contacts in my phone.I read the newest version could do it but i dont have the sync option when i go settings -> facebook? Any ideas?
I am trying to sync my contacts with Gmail and I don't seem to be able to. I do see that Pkgbackup was able somehow to sync with Gmail as if I go to my contacts in gmail I can see PkgBackup however everything I try does not work. I have set it up in itunes to sync with Gmail but nothing shows up when I log into Gmail.
We activated Microsoft 365 Enterprise activation, wiped our handheld and all services synch EXCEPT contacts. All contacts that were In Active Directory as well as contacts that were on the users' accounts migrated but when we add a new contact through Outlook it does not sync with the Blackberry and if we enter a contact on the handheld it does NOT sync back to the web mail client or Outlook. Calendar functions are syncing fine both from Outlook to he handheld and from the handheld back to Outlook.
When I try to sync my Blackberry's address book with my gmail contacts and calendar, it starts the synchronization service, the calendar synchronizes, the address book then says initializing, but hangs at 55% synchronization. I recently wiped the Blackberry clean and was setting up the email and synchronization options from scratch.
I have the BB Curve 8530. A long time ago this once worked and I had 126 contacts on my cell and in outlook. 2 crashed laptops later I have never been successful to get those 126 contacts back in Outlook. I have 2 email accounts set up on my Blackberry. I have tried deleting the service book, deleting and reinstalling the BB Desktop Software and it will only sync the contacts from my gmail account (26 entries) and not the one from my verizon (126 entries)
I recently got a black berry storm 9530 and I'm trying to sync my facebook contacts to my phone and its not working. I went to verizon and they couldn't help me either. When I first set up the phone I set up a work related email (my facebook email is different) then I installed the facebook app and tried to sync my contacts. This failed it said it worked but there was no phone numbers or anything, then I added my facebook email and tried again. this still failed. I'm not sure what to do. the calander and birthday/ notifcations go through but i have no contacts. what should i do?
I bought a new BB Torch. But I have a BB Curve, so I download BB software and I did the sync, but I have lost all my contacts. I just pressed bidireccional and press sync. How can I find my contacts?
trying to sync my blackberry 9300 with my mac contacts!I have got the latest version of the blackberry desktop software (2.0.1) and have tried uninstalling, removing all blackberry entries, emptying the trash and reinstalling, but every time it syncs, the sofware syncs calender, notes and task with no problems However, on trying to sync "contacts" I constantly get error "sync error" trying re-syncing .
I have a Xperia Z3 and I used to have facebook synced with contacts so I had facebook profile pics on most my contacts. all in all the phonebook looked nice with a pic against a number and a name.  But recently, I've noticed that all these pics have gone missing.  When i go to Contacts> Settings>Accounts & Sync
I cant see Facebook listed under the linked Accounts and when I Click on + Add Account i can see the Facebook app but if i tap on it to add it shows a message "Only on Facebook account is supported".  if I come out of Contacts and from main screen go to, Settings>Accounts I can see 2 Facebook accounts, Facebook and also Xperia™ with Facebook.  Now if I tap on Facebook it will take me to another page that shows me my facebook email address against facebook logo but nothing (no options) underneath.if i tap on the three vertical dts on top right corner the only options it gives me are Sync now and Remove account. I've pressed Sync now a number of times it doesnt bring facebook contacts to Contacts.  If I tap on Xperia™ with Facebook, shows me last Synced date on a new page and also a tab called Application control settings. now If i tap this it takes me to Xperia™ with Facebook Account Management. underneath it says Apps connected to Facebook account. and it only shows Calender (this has a enable/disable switch next to it)
I've looked everywhere I know but i cant get the phone to sync facebook with Contacts...
When I was using Insider Preview, Messaging+Skype was working fairly good. I was able to send skype messages get skype messages, but most importantly I was able to see if my contact is also in my Skype account or not. Now with my 950XL although many people are also my Skype friends I cannot see Skype option in their regular SMS threads, a different thread with different name pops up when they send a message, but I cannot link that contact name with their "REAL CONTACT CARD". It is really weird that a feature works better on a Beta version than the RTM version on the Flagship phone.
I have the S6 Edge and i was always able to sync Facebook contacts into my address book - but now i have noticed that i can't find a way to do it anymore - i don't see such setting in the Facebook app. I Want to use Facebook pictures for my contacts.
I got a new iphone 4s yesterday. I also got the contacts transferred from my old phone to the new iphone at the store itself. Now I want to sync the music and photos on my macbook with this iphone, but I am worried about loosing the contacts. Will this be the case? or the contacts wont be deleted?
just connected my new iphone 4s to my existing ITunes to get old music and it wiped my contacts. Can i still get them back , i didn't manually back up my phone before
i had a problem with my old phone so i went to the apple store and they told me to back up my information on my computer which i did so i went to the apple store today to exchange my phone for a new one since i got my last one in february,now i connected my new iphone to my computer (iphone 4) and it says that i have no sim card, the last iphone i had didnt have one either but i was able to use it - this one won't let me go past the first few things that pop up when you get a new phone.. if i dont have a sim card how do i come about this?
I synced the first new phone, then the second. They are named differently and have different numbers. Any time a change is made to the contacts or apps of one, the same change happens to the other. Any ideas howto change thais?
