When I try to sync my Blackberry's address book with my gmail contacts and calendar, it starts the synchronization service, the calendar synchronizes, the address book then says initializing, but hangs at 55% synchronization. I recently wiped the Blackberry clean and was setting up the email and synchronization options from scratch.
Yo, I just switched from the Xperia Z1S to the M8....Only issue I'm running into thus far is syncing my contacts down from Gmail. I backed up all my contacts through Gmail and I can't do the bluetooth option cause the old phone won't power up. (Not as waterproof as they claimed).
I am trying to sync my contacts with Gmail and I don't seem to be able to. I do see that Pkgbackup was able somehow to sync with Gmail as if I go to my contacts in gmail I can see PkgBackup however everything I try does not work. I have set it up in itunes to sync with Gmail but nothing shows up when I log into Gmail.
To Whom It May Concern:My Gmail Contacts are not syncing since I wiped my BB. My BB is setup the same as it was and the Wireless Synchronisation option is set to Yes in the Contacts' Options. My e-mail and calendar still sync properly, how do I get my contacts to sync again?
I have a website that is managed through Google, so my calendar and contacts and email are all through Google.
I want my iPhone 5s and Google contacts to be synced, so that when I add anything to my iPhone, it shows up in my Google contacts. Also, if I add to my Google contacts online, it shows on my iPhone. Very simple. Â
I have followed the standard instructions many times. It works, sometimes.
For example, right now there are a number of contacts on my iCloud account that are not appearing on my Google contacts. I don't know how to get everything to work together.Â
I just picked up a new V10, added my gmail account, and it created a contact for just about every email I've ever interacted with in the 10 years using gmail. I'm obviously missing something - I just want the 200+ contacts I have defined on contacts.google.com to sync on the phone after linking it to a gmail account. What am I missing? I don't remember this with previous Android phones.
I tried doing a factor reset, setting up as a new device, linked the gmail account, but it still decided to create 2000+ contacts.
Very recently I cleared all my contacts, then sync my contacts with my gmail account. The problem is that it is adding on to my internal memory, why is this happening when I have sync my contacts with gmail. I do not have any contact on my phone. If I can find a solution for this, it will save 7.5mb of my space, where in I can accommodate something useful.
I have a BB bold and I have a corproeate e-mai laccount installed. I also added my personal gmail account. The major problems I am hacing are:
1. When I send an e-mail from a computer, that sent item does not show up on my BB.
2. and Secondly, but not as important, My BB wants to ALWAYS use folders for e-mails with the same subject. I DO NOT have it set to use folders, but it contineus to. I have tried changing the setting a few times, but the BB does not see mto care and continues to use folders.
i have re-installed the gmail account a few times, and it does not seem to matter for the 2 issues above. Note that I am NOT using m.google.com. My reason is that, just like my corproate account, I want my BB to tell me (a beep, a vibrate, etc - whatever the setting - mine to 2 vibrates) when I recieve an e-mail.
i have a gmail account and have synced my calendar, contacts and email. i have GOOGLE SYNC, which does it all for me (or so its supposed to).if i create a new appointment on my gmail calendar, it syncs perfectly to my bklackberry. However if i create an appointment on my bb it doesnt sync on the gmail.
My apologies if this is discussed somewhere else, I looked, couldnt find it. So does anybody know of an easy way to sync my contacts FROM my blackberry TO my gmail contacts? I have google sync on my phone, but that only messed up my contacts by dumping a bunch of duplicates into my BB contacts and it doesnt seem to reverse sync. I have since deleted my gmail contacts so I dont suffer this fate again, but cannot for the life of me figure out how to reverse sync from BB to gmail.
Initial synchronization with Gmail successfully. Then, email received, calendar items sync, but contacts there is a problem. The first changes can sync, but after a short time everything stops.Just reset the device to factory settings restores the synchronization.I tried to connect with different BlackBerry and Gmail account, and the problem repeated itself.I contacted my BIS service, at Cellcom Israel, and they reset my account.
We activated Microsoft 365 Enterprise activation, wiped our handheld and all services synch EXCEPT contacts. All contacts that were In Active Directory as well as contacts that were on the users' accounts migrated but when we add a new contact through Outlook it does not sync with the Blackberry and if we enter a contact on the handheld it does NOT sync back to the web mail client or Outlook. Calendar functions are syncing fine both from Outlook to he handheld and from the handheld back to Outlook.
When I setup the phone, it gave me an option to synchronize my contacts with Gmail, which I did. But now, the contacts are not synchronizing. In between I added the Facebook application as well. FB contacts are syncing.Another thing, inside the options for my gmail contact list the Wireless Synchronization option is marked -"Not Available" and cannot be changed.I want to synchronize my contacts on BB with those on Gmail.
I'm new to BB. So far I love my Bold, but I'm having a little trouble with my gmail. First, my device does not update when I have read messages on my computer. The messages are still marked as unread on my device. Do I have to read them twice? I've tried to mark all as read, tried making sure the gmail plug-in was installed (it is), and my device is set to delete on mailbox and handheld, wireless reconcile is on, and on conflicts mailbox wins.
The second issue is that when importing my contacts from gmail, it imported ALL of them - everyone who has ever emailed me is now listed in my phone! How do I get rid of this
The contacts in my Bold 9780 are not syncing with the address book in my Macbook Pro. Eg new contacts that I've created in Bold do not appear in the address book. I did not have this problem previously until last week.
My wireless synchronization with my gmail contacts stopped working. When I change a contact on my BB or in my gmail contacts the 2 don't get synchronized. They used to. I even get an email from BB telling me that it stopped and I should change to Yes in my contacts list under my gmail account, but after checking it is set up to Yes. What changed? what should I do?I have a 9700 from Telus
Whenever I try to sync my contacts from my BB to my Mac Book, it always deletes a random number of my contacts and syncs whatever it didn't delete. I have not selected the "Replace all contacts from this BlackBerry device" yet it still deletes my contacts upon every sync! I even removed all my contacts from my Mac and attempted a fresh backup to avoid these random deletions but still the same.
How do I synch the contacts from my Berry to my google gmail account? When I go to my contacts and use options I have a contact list of unknown which has my contacts that I use for my bold. When I go to the unknown list under Wireless Synchronization it is grayed out and says unavailable. I can't figure out how to synch them. I want to back up my contacts online/gmail and be able to download them to future phones.
So I added a new gmail email address to my phone but by accident, when prompted told it to synch my contacts with that account. The first thing it did was import all the contacts to my gmail address book, on gmail.com, effectively erasing most of them from the phone. I took it into the t-mobile store and the guy somehow managed to recover about 1/3 of the contacts. So when I took it home, I deleted that email address and just plugged it into my computer and re-synched the contacts from my address book. However, whenever I look in my address book on the blackberry now, at the top of a contact it says "Sychronize using: firstname.lastname@example.org" (Obviously insert the email address I used). But that email address is no longer on my phone, so how is it synched with that? It also I think it is creating problems with synching up my facebook contacts as their pictures no longer show as icons on my phone. It's a minor problem, and seems to be a software issue, but is there any way to completely un-sych my contacts from this deleted email address?
What is the best and easiest way to sync with your Gmail calendar? I've tried using MfE but all I seem to be able to do is sync my emails. My method for doing this is Menu > Email > Email > New > MfE . I'm assuming this is how to do it but there is also a Sync program within Menu > Ctrl Panel > Phone > Sync where you can create a new sync profile but I don't think this is it.
The last few days I've noticed that I have to "pull down" on my inbox screen to retrieve my emails. I used to just get notified randomly when the emails came in. At first I thought it was just when my wifi was turned on (didn't have to be connected), now it's all the time. I'm on Verizon, version 13B. After that last system update, everything seemed fine, but I think there may have been a gmail update since that maybe is causing this?
