First time I turned on my new Lumia 950 XL I got question about connecting Skype to Messaging. I choosed YES on that question. Now I have a second thought and would like to have it as ti was on windows mobile 8.1 Messages in one Place and Skype messages under the Skype.
I can not find how to turn it off? To separate Skype from text messaging. How to initiate same question once again so I can choose NO this time ?
My friends have two separate conversations with me on their iPhones - texts are under my number and iMessages are under my email address. This makes it quite confusing when switching between the two. I've gone to Settings > Messages and the 'receive at' is set to my email address, is this right?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI love how the 920 and 1020 would let me link certain email accounts and relabel them. I linked my two personal accounts (G mail and Outlook) and renamed them as "personal email", then I kept my work email as a separate account. I could pin them as two different live tiles on the start page. It was great. So far, I have not been able to do this with the 950. Is this a "lost feature"?
View 9 Replies View RelatedBought my 950 from AT&T. I use Office 365 and Outlook SMS calendar notifications (via Exchange) which are sent via carrier email to text.
On my Icon w/ a Verizon account, each notification nested within a single contact or send SMS number (was always "6245"). However, with AT&T I am getting each notification from a distinct number, such as "1 (410) 100-030," "1 (410) 100-031," "1 (410) 100-032," etc., and as per the attached (these messages are from RedOxgyen Outlook SMS that works the same as calendar notifications). It renders the calendar and other Outlook SMS functions useless, as it overwhelms my SMS inbox.
I have a lumis 1020, I have 3 email accounts, gmail, outlook and live. When i was on w8.1 i had 3 seperate tiles for email. now I have upgraded to w10, I only have one tile and have to manually switch accounts.

Like when you're listening to music, when you press the volume rocker, it will set the volume just for the music and not the current volume setting of the message/ring tone?
I have European version of Lumia 920 and today installed Skype. I cannot turn Skype off. How do I close this application? I cannot even change the status to offline.
View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I was using Insider Preview, Messaging+Skype was working fairly good. I was able to send skype messages get skype messages, but most importantly I was able to see if my contact is also in my Skype account or not. Now with my 950XL although many people are also my Skype friends I cannot see Skype option in their regular SMS threads, a different thread with different name pops up when they send a message, but I cannot link that contact name with their "REAL CONTACT CARD". It is really weird that a feature works better on a Beta version than the RTM version on the Flagship phone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got a Lumia 950, set up all my accounts, added Skype, and now my Skype messages show up in the app AND in my Messaging hub. I wouldn't mind, but now I'm getting Messaging alerts AND Skype alerts that I have new messages when I receive a Skype message. I did find a setting in Skype that turns off the messaging alerts for Skype messages, but they're still showing up, even when I'm using Skype on my PC. In two hours of work this morning this has gone past confusing to the point of being annoying.
View 13 Replies View RelatedOn my L930 (10586), I was able to go to the Messaging app and send a text to someone via Skype. That is, at the top right, there was a drop-down to select "SIM" or "Skype".
Now, it just says "SIM Text" and "No SIM", which I'm guessing means the missing SIM 2.
Is this another Dual-SIM thing (like VMM appears to not work with Dual-SIM phones) or am I doing sing wrong?
I am using skype applicaiton for lumia 920 and so far so good. When ever a new message arrives from skype , the phone notifies me with a message sound. I would like to turn it off. I don't want any sound notifications from skype.

I now use another Skype account on another computer to call my Skype account.Skype and/or the Windows Phone (Lumia 1020) completely ignore my settings: the phone starts ringing through the Skype app.Is there a workaround? I got the latest update from today (Oct 2 2013).
I work with a big corporation in Tokyo and the phone starts ringing in the middle of the night.The only workaround I found is to log out of Skype completely, forcing me to log in again during the day - a pain.
I got a new Nokia Lumia Icon with Verizon Wireless contract. I installed skype and when trying to make International Voice calls, all I see the blue backgroud with Skype call outgoing icon and then nothing happens. Sometimes, the call gets active as in it shows the seconds counter of the call,but nobody can here anything on either side of the call. I do have some credit balance in my Skype account.
I tried re-installing the app but to no avail.
Previously, I had an Android device and when I tried to make same International mobile calls now in it, I am able to connect and talk without any issues. I also chatted with an Skype support team and they also couldn't get much. They said that I am reporting such type of issue for first time and told that one of their tech specialist will get in touch with me once they have completely assessed the issue.
When I get incoming skype call, screen is black and there is no way to unlock it.. Keep ringing until 'Up'+'Power'

The history shows, but when you long press on one it just pops up "details." There is no way to delete the history. If you go into phone settings and under privacy turn off access to call history for Messaging+Skype, then app will no longer load/work.
View 2 Replies View RelatedEver since the newest update (3.2010.02-8.002), I cannot see my conversations.I can see the conversation on the main conversation screen, where all my conversation are. But when I click on a single conversation...I cannot see it or any other SMS or IM in that conversation. Even conversations that I send cannot be seen on this screen. It is only when I go back to the page will all the conversation can I see what I send, but even that is lost when I receive a SMS or IM back.
I did not have this problem prior to the latest update.It is very frustrating not being able to see the history of my conversations.
I recently noticed something has changed when re-opening my SMS app. It's now consistent when every time i open it, it takes around 5 seconds when it's empty and says "no messages found", and all conversations suddenly appear only afterwards. Extremely annoying to say the least. Even did a factory reset to try changing it but still the same.
