I need to be able to create a file, and also to print several conversations, all with one contact/phone number. I have read the help and cannot see any advice on how I can download SMS messages to my PC, so that I can do this.
View 1 RepliesI'm trying to move from a Curve 8900 to a Bold 9790 and when I try to either switch handset or manually restore a backup, the BBM chats don't get transferred.
If I go into Desktop Manager and do a selective restore, I notice that BBM conversations item is greyed out, so I can't select it to restore.
If I try and do the same restore to my colleague's Torch 9810, it is fine, and if I then backup the 9810 and try and restore that to the Bold 9790 it is still greyed out.
how to get my conversations transferred? I currently don't have history enabled in BBM but I know enabling that now will only save new conversations and not the existing ones.
Ok so I just got the incredible today. My first Droid phone. I m trying to record and send video via text message. Two things here. 1st the video at 30 secs long seems to be too big to send. I have tried recording it in both formats and at the lowest settings..Any thoughts on how to make it smaller? I was able to send video up to a minute long on my Blackberry so not sure what the problem here is.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI got my incredible yesterday, and spent the whole day checking out apps, importing my pics, vids, and contacts from my Dare, all that good stuff.Most of what I did was done on Wi-Fi, and it was good. Today, I wake up, and my Wi-Fi is not able to connect to anything. I changed nothing, but to be sure, I reconnected to my router. To be EXTRA sure, I'm writing this to you on a computer hooked up to this same router.
My 3G works fine. Any ideas? I tried a different router. Same problem. I get the "A network error has occurred. Retry, or cancel and return to the previous screen" message in the market, and a connection error message in any browser.
I'm seriously looking into jumping from the iPhone 3g to the Incredible. I've had my iPhone for almost 2 years and I love it. With the announcement of OS 4.0 I was a little disappointed with the lack of new features thats going to be included. Pretty much all the features are available now if you decided to jailbreak the iPhone.My ATT contract is up in a few months and i'm due for a new phone now but I'm going to wait and see what iPhone 4 has to offer before I finally make a decision. Just wondering if anyone jumped from an iPhone to the Incrediable and their thoughts on it.

Of course, it seems the majority of them do not work 100% with the Incredible.I tried using a pair of Klipsch in-ear buds, but the volume controls did not work, as they were made for the iPhone 3GS. The sound was really great, and at $100, a nice investment that comes with a 2 year warranty.
Anyone have any suggestions for a pair that will work 100% with the Incredible? I just feel like I'm not getting my money worth if I get a pair that doesnt completely work with the phone. leaves me a bit annoyed that they didn't just come with a set in the first place.
I'm a relatively new Incredible owner. I came from an Eris which was a nice enough phone but it was stuck with a hopelessly slow processor. As we all know, the Incredible came with 2.1. Any word on when we'll be getting Froyo? And I hope it's not as buggy as the 1.6->2.1 OTA update for the Eris! That was a nightmare. Almost everyone who did the OTA upgrade with the Eris had some kind of problem. Maybe the Eris' processor wasn't really up to the 2.1 software.I don't know, but it was a complete disaster. Here's hoping that the 2.1->2.2 update is glitch-free.

View 4 Replies View RelatedEver since the newest update (3.2010.02-8.002), I cannot see my conversations.I can see the conversation on the main conversation screen, where all my conversation are. But when I click on a single conversation...I cannot see it or any other SMS or IM in that conversation. Even conversations that I send cannot be seen on this screen. It is only when I go back to the page will all the conversation can I see what I send, but even that is lost when I receive a SMS or IM back.
I did not have this problem prior to the latest update.It is very frustrating not being able to see the history of my conversations.
I recently noticed something has changed when re-opening my SMS app. It's now consistent when every time i open it, it takes around 5 seconds when it's empty and says "no messages found", and all conversations suddenly appear only afterwards. Extremely annoying to say the least. Even did a factory reset to try changing it but still the same.

View 15 Replies View RelatedIs anyone else having a problem with the alarm on the Incredible? If I set it, all works well until I "cancel" (not dismiss or snooze). Then, it will not ring ever again unless I change the alarm to a new time and then reset the alarm.It is not something a do often, but if I take a day off in the week and don't want the alarm waking me at 5:15 AM, I de-click the alarm. When I re-click it so that it will ring M-F at the same time, no alarm goes off the next day. I have to change it to another time, let it go off, then reset it back to 5:15 to get it to ring.

At first I thought it was the other partys problem, but its definately my phone. Called Verizon Tech support and they said there is a known speaker issue with this phone. (She didnt know what the exact issue was) Tech said HTC and Google are working on it and it should be fixed in a software update. I would assume it is the 2.2 update.

Its not in the list, and the messages from her dont show up in my notifications. The only way I can read them is if i click the "send message" button on her name in my phonebook and it shows the previous messages, otherwise I cant find it. It really sucks because I can never tell when she texts me! Any solutions? All of my other messages work perfectly

I have noticed that a couple of days ago the Uploading Data icon has appeared at the top of my phone but I can't figure out what is uploading and how to shut it off and today I went past my data limit which I never do this soon into my pay period.

I swapped it out with Verizon already and same issue. Been working with Jawbone with several units sent and even another model. Try a Samsung phone and it works great. Verizon says there is nothing else they can do at this point. They get HTC tech support on the phone and the end result was a clear "keep buying headsets until you find one that works". Really?

My network provider (Orange UK) say it is a OS fault, but Car Phone Warehouse who i bought the phone from belive it is a network fault. Anyone have any predictions/opinions when a Droid Incredible and Evo GSM version will get through FCC. Based on past history, I believe it will happen just like other Andriod, Windows, Blackberry, Palm(Pre and Pixi) phones.even if its in the 4th Quarter of this year. I'm thinking some will go by different names or my have slightly different features.
