HTC :: Anyone Go From An IPhone To Incredible?

I'm seriously looking into jumping from the iPhone 3g to the Incredible. I've had my iPhone for almost 2 years and I love it. With the announcement of OS 4.0 I was a little disappointed with the lack of new features thats going to be included. Pretty much all the features are available now if you decided to jailbreak the iPhone.My ATT contract is up in a few months and i'm due for a new phone now but I'm going to wait and see what iPhone 4 has to offer before I finally make a decision. Just wondering if anyone jumped from an iPhone to the Incrediable and their thoughts on it.

Ok so I just got the incredible today. My first Droid phone. I m trying to record and send video via text message. Two things here. 1st the video at 30 secs long seems to be too big to send. I have tried recording it in both formats and at the lowest settings..Any thoughts on how to make it smaller? I was able to send video up to a minute long on my Blackberry so not sure what the problem here is.

Even though I'm eligible for iPhone 4 upgrade and love my iPhone 3G I'm seriously considering switching to VZW simply because at&t is intolerable here in NYC (first it was data, now it's voice).I set my sights on Incredible and played with it at the VZW store. I can live with it fine. One thing that concerns me is screen visibility under sunlight. I use iPhone quite a lot on the street and really grew to appreciate how visible its screen. Any opinions from those who used both phones on how Incredible stacks in this regard against iPhone?

I got my incredible yesterday, and spent the whole day checking out apps, importing my pics, vids, and contacts from my Dare, all that good stuff.Most of what I did was done on Wi-Fi, and it was good. Today, I wake up, and my Wi-Fi is not able to connect to anything. I changed nothing, but to be sure, I reconnected to my router. To be EXTRA sure, I'm writing this to you on a computer hooked up to this same router.
My 3G works fine. Any ideas? I tried a different router. Same problem. I get the "A network error has occurred. Retry, or cancel and return to the previous screen" message in the market, and a connection error message in any browser.

I went to the apple store to try out some of the headphone/mic combos that they had there. Of course, it seems the majority of them do not work 100% with the Incredible.I tried using a pair of Klipsch in-ear buds, but the volume controls did not work, as they were made for the iPhone 3GS. The sound was really great, and at $100, a nice investment that comes with a 2 year warranty.
Anyone have any suggestions for a pair that will work 100% with the Incredible? I just feel like I'm not getting my money worth if I get a pair that doesnt completely work with the phone. leaves me a bit annoyed that they didn't just come with a set in the first place.

I'm a relatively new Incredible owner. I came from an Eris which was a nice enough phone but it was stuck with a hopelessly slow processor. As we all know, the Incredible came with 2.1. Any word on when we'll be getting Froyo? And I hope it's not as buggy as the 1.6->2.1 OTA update for the Eris! That was a nightmare. Almost everyone who did the OTA upgrade with the Eris had some kind of problem. Maybe the Eris' processor wasn't really up to the 2.1 software.I don't know, but it was a complete disaster. Here's hoping that the 2.1->2.2 update is glitch-free.

got HTC Incredible S import model before few days. It will be running "Froyo" when I get it, and I would like to know the best way to put Facebook on it. I already have Facebook on my computer. Do I just put "Facebook for HTC Sense" on it or do I install the stand alone Facebook app and which version?

Just got an HTC Droid Incredible and I really like it. I copied a couple of avi and wmv files to the phone's memory, but they don't play back properly. Do I need to install some kind of codec or something on it, or do I have to convert the file to a specific format?

Is anyone else having a problem with the alarm on the Incredible? If I set it, all works well until I "cancel" (not dismiss or snooze). Then, it will not ring ever again unless I change the alarm to a new time and then reset the alarm.It is not something a do often, but if I take a day off in the week and don't want the alarm waking me at 5:15 AM, I de-click the alarm. When I re-click it so that it will ring M-F at the same time, no alarm goes off the next day. I have to change it to another time, let it go off, then reset it back to 5:15 to get it to ring.

I have plenty of internal and SD memory available. I don't like my phones to have a lot of garbage apps, I only keep apps I use on a daily basis, so there's not a lot of junk apps on there slowing it down. I've deleted any applications I'm not using.

Just got my Incredible a few weeks ago I notice that there is a hissing in the earpiece when the person on the other end speaks. At first I thought it was the other partys problem, but its definately my phone. Called Verizon Tech support and they said there is a known speaker issue with this phone. (She didnt know what the exact issue was) Tech said HTC and Google are working on it and it should be fixed in a software update. I would assume it is the 2.2 update.

I have a droid incredible and am running handcent sms. Today I noticed that it WILL NOT show my text thread with my mom! Its not in the list, and the messages from her dont show up in my notifications. The only way I can read them is if i click the "send message" button on her name in my phonebook and it shows the previous messages, otherwise I cant find it. It really sucks because I can never tell when she texts me! Any solutions? All of my other messages work perfectly

I have the Talk & Text 1200 plan with PagePlus and I am noticing that lately I am using up the 100MB of data much more quickly than I ever have in the past although I haven't changed my usage routine. I have noticed that a couple of days ago the Uploading Data icon has appeared at the top of my phone but I can't figure out what is uploading and how to shut it off and today I went past my data limit which I never do this soon into my pay period.

I cannot get a bluetooth headset to work with this phone. Everyone I talk to complains about the sound quality. The only constant is the phone. I swapped it out with Verizon already and same issue. Been working with Jawbone with several units sent and even another model. Try a Samsung phone and it works great. Verizon says there is nothing else they can do at this point. They get HTC tech support on the phone and the end result was a clear "keep buying headsets until you find one that works". Really?

I have just updated to 2.3.3.. it seems now if i recieve a text it comes through hours after the other person had sent it.. My network provider (Orange UK) say it is a OS fault, but Car Phone Warehouse who i bought the phone from belive it is a network fault. However reading on the web a few people are reporting the same on other networks.

Only got this phone yesterday so am still finding my way round it, but ive figured out how to show just my phone contacts when i go into contacts. But, when i want to send a text and go to select a contact, its hwoign everything twice, the phone contact and the sim contact. Why is this and how do i get it to just show one or the other?

Anyone have any predictions/opinions when a Droid Incredible and Evo GSM version will get through FCC. Based on past history, I believe it will happen just like other Andriod, Windows, Blackberry, Palm(Pre and Pixi) phones.even if its in the 4th Quarter of this year. I'm thinking some will go by different names or my have slightly different features.

I'm disappointed that my new HTC Incredible doesn't support voice commands (voice dialing) through the Bluetooth headset. Does anybody know if this is a software limitation or a hardware limitation? If it's a software limitation, then I can always hope that a future version of the OS might give me this capability. But if it's a hardware limitation, then I guess there's no hope.

Whenever I go to a weather website like wunderground and check out the radar, it never loops when I hit the animate radar choice. It just shows the current still radar image. Why is this? My MotoHint was able to show looping radar. Any suggestions?

Anybody know of any aftermarket battery covers for the HTC Incredible? I really like the phone, but the cheap-feeling battery cover really bugs me. It doesn't fit very well on the phone, and I can feel it shifting around while I am holding the phone. I think it would do wonders for the percieved "build quality" if someone made an aluminum battery cover. I've always like the feel of metal as opposed to plastic.

Swype is the only keyboard I have downloaded, but I can't seem to get it to work with any programs. Specifically I want it to work with Handcent, but for the life of me I can't figure out how. Swype is selected in settings>keyboard menu.

I need a case for my Incredible but i have the extended battery and seem to be having trouble finding a case that will fit. The Verizon store was no help and neither was Best Buy. I tried looking on Ebay but didnt seem to have much success. Does anyone know where I can find a case that would work? maybe a generic that fits and works nicely?

I've had my phone for half a year. And these past two months, my phone doesnt charge, nor hold its charge.. sometimes it takes as long as 6hrs to get it 10% charged while its charging, or says it is.. my Orange light blinks when its on the charger , when its suppose to be a sold orange light.. I sometimes get a message saying "charging power current doesn't have enough consumption please switch to an ad adapter." Now my question is, is it a hardware problem and would I be able to send it in to get fixed, or did I cause this... Forgot to add one thing, I usually have to wiggle it around for it too stay.
