Aug 1, 2011I just updated my Atrix 4g with Gingerbread 2.3.4 and it fried my contacts lists. I had over 150 phone numbers that were trashed to 34 and some of these were even munged. Is there any way to recover my phone number lists? The update even stated in one screen that the contacts would not be touched, but I now have no groups and mostly suspect phone numbers.

Sep 8, 2011Forums all over the web and in here at motorola web are filled with issues faced by customers after upgrading atrix to gingerbread 2.3.4 & I am wondering now is it worth asking for upgrade/upgrading/updating to gingerbread really.? My personal experience with Atrix on froyo 2.2.2 with lapdock is not bad i.e. battery is good, network & wifi is good, movies playing in wide screen mode.So I am asking what the benifits of updating/upgrading to gingerbread are actually. I only know one i.e. I tried to download Asphalt6 for atrix and it mentioned I need 2.3.4 to run this HD game(but then i came to know that it is not released for Tegra2 processor yet).

Dec 10, 2011I upgraded to 2.3.4 Gingerbread about a week ago. System version is 64.1.22.A953.Retail.en.GB No problem for the first few days but since then the screen switches off randomly (that new CRT-style shutdown, very cute). I can be viewing Google Maps, or using the camera, or browsing the web...doesn't seem to be a single trigger. The screen turns off and if I switch it back on quickly it will switch off again; if I wait a few seconds and switch on then it stops freaking out and the screen stays on.I've been using Cloudskipper and WinAmp with the lockscreen features enabled (since the stock music player on Milestone2 doesn't show up on the lockscreen). Could these be the culprits - is there something unstable in 2.3's lock-screen?Screen timeout and security timeout are set to 60 minutes.

May 14, 2010Ok so I just got the incredible today. My first Droid phone. I m trying to record and send video via text message. Two things here. 1st the video at 30 secs long seems to be too big to send. I have tried recording it in both formats and at the lowest settings..Any thoughts on how to make it smaller? I was able to send video up to a minute long on my Blackberry so not sure what the problem here is.

May 1, 2010I got my incredible yesterday, and spent the whole day checking out apps, importing my pics, vids, and contacts from my Dare, all that good stuff.Most of what I did was done on Wi-Fi, and it was good. Today, I wake up, and my Wi-Fi is not able to connect to anything. I changed nothing, but to be sure, I reconnected to my router. To be EXTRA sure, I'm writing this to you on a computer hooked up to this same router.
My 3G works fine. Any ideas? I tried a different router. Same problem. I get the "A network error has occurred. Retry, or cancel and return to the previous screen" message in the market, and a connection error message in any browser.
HTC :: Anyone Go From An IPhone To Incredible?
May 2, 2010I'm seriously looking into jumping from the iPhone 3g to the Incredible. I've had my iPhone for almost 2 years and I love it. With the announcement of OS 4.0 I was a little disappointed with the lack of new features thats going to be included. Pretty much all the features are available now if you decided to jailbreak the iPhone.My ATT contract is up in a few months and i'm due for a new phone now but I'm going to wait and see what iPhone 4 has to offer before I finally make a decision. Just wondering if anyone jumped from an iPhone to the Incrediable and their thoughts on it.

May 14, 2010I went to the apple store to try out some of the headphone/mic combos that they had there. Of course, it seems the majority of them do not work 100% with the Incredible.I tried using a pair of Klipsch in-ear buds, but the volume controls did not work, as they were made for the iPhone 3GS. The sound was really great, and at $100, a nice investment that comes with a 2 year warranty.
Anyone have any suggestions for a pair that will work 100% with the Incredible? I just feel like I'm not getting my money worth if I get a pair that doesnt completely work with the phone. leaves me a bit annoyed that they didn't just come with a set in the first place.
HTC :: When Will Incredible Be Getting Froyo 2.2?
Jun 12, 2010I'm a relatively new Incredible owner. I came from an Eris which was a nice enough phone but it was stuck with a hopelessly slow processor. As we all know, the Incredible came with 2.1. Any word on when we'll be getting Froyo? And I hope it's not as buggy as the 1.6->2.1 OTA update for the Eris! That was a nightmare. Almost everyone who did the OTA upgrade with the Eris had some kind of problem. Maybe the Eris' processor wasn't really up to the 2.1 software.I don't know, but it was a complete disaster. Here's hoping that the 2.1->2.2 update is glitch-free.

Jun 24, 2010Is anyone else having a problem with the alarm on the Incredible? If I set it, all works well until I "cancel" (not dismiss or snooze). Then, it will not ring ever again unless I change the alarm to a new time and then reset the alarm.It is not something a do often, but if I take a day off in the week and don't want the alarm waking me at 5:15 AM, I de-click the alarm. When I re-click it so that it will ring M-F at the same time, no alarm goes off the next day. I have to change it to another time, let it go off, then reset it back to 5:15 to get it to ring.

Aug 17, 2010Just got my Incredible a few weeks ago I notice that there is a hissing in the earpiece when the person on the other end speaks. At first I thought it was the other partys problem, but its definately my phone. Called Verizon Tech support and they said there is a known speaker issue with this phone. (She didnt know what the exact issue was) Tech said HTC and Google are working on it and it should be fixed in a software update. I would assume it is the 2.2 update.

Its not in the list, and the messages from her dont show up in my notifications. The only way I can read them is if i click the "send message" button on her name in my phonebook and it shows the previous messages, otherwise I cant find it. It really sucks because I can never tell when she texts me! Any solutions? All of my other messages work perfectly

Dec 29, 2012I cannot get a bluetooth headset to work with this phone. Everyone I talk to complains about the sound quality. The only constant is the phone. I swapped it out with Verizon already and same issue. Been working with Jawbone with several units sent and even another model. Try a Samsung phone and it works great. Verizon says there is nothing else they can do at this point. They get HTC tech support on the phone and the end result was a clear "keep buying headsets until you find one that works". Really?

Apr 30, 2010I'm disappointed that my new HTC Incredible doesn't support voice commands (voice dialing) through the Bluetooth headset. Does anybody know if this is a software limitation or a hardware limitation? If it's a software limitation, then I can always hope that a future version of the OS might give me this capability. But if it's a hardware limitation, then I guess there's no hope.
