I'm thinking about getting an droid incredible but it seems canada is still far away from getting its own incredible. Im wondering if it is possible to import it from the states and use it in canada. Thank you
View 6 RepliesOk so I just got the incredible today. My first Droid phone. I m trying to record and send video via text message. Two things here. 1st the video at 30 secs long seems to be too big to send. I have tried recording it in both formats and at the lowest settings..Any thoughts on how to make it smaller? I was able to send video up to a minute long on my Blackberry so not sure what the problem here is.

I will be going on vacation in Canada and I want to be able to take my iPhine 4S with me and change out my China Mobile MicroSIM card for a Canadian carriers MicroSIM card (Rogers Wireless, Fido Solutions, Bell Mobility, Telus Mobility, ???). It would also be nice if the 3G (or 2.5G GPRS/EDGE) works. What about my iPhone 4S WiFi ??

View 6 Replies View RelatedI frequently hit adjacent keys while texting on my old Droid X. A larger screen and of course 4G and a faster processor were appealing as well. As the Razr HD models sport screens almost as large as the S3 I ran to see them on their first day out of the gates. What a disappointment! Holding my old Droid X up against them I saw that the usable screen sizes were identical. Namely 4.3" unless playing videos in which case the video filled up the Razr HD's 4.7" screen. I couldn't find anything else that would fill up the screen. Perhaps, photos might. But internet browsing, texting and whatever else I tried occupied a 4.3" inset within the 4.7" screen. So why have a 4.7" screen at all? The Galaxy S3 on the other hand fills up the entire 4.8" screen with not only video but everything else, including texting, messaging, web browsing, and everything else I tried. So what gives? Why did you even create a 4.7" screen if you aren't going to utilize it to its full potential?

Based on past history, I believe it will happen just like other Andriod, Windows, Blackberry, Palm(Pre and Pixi) phones.even if its in the 4th Quarter of this year. I have the newest software update.My problem is that if i for example if a friend of mine sends me a message at 21.00 then i get it at 21.20 (different from time to time) and in the text message it says that i got it 21.00 but really i got it 21.20. My carrier is AT&T.My brother has an Sony Ericsson Xperia mini pro (unbranded and unlocked) and has AT&T service and he was able to get HSDPA on his phone. I have no idea how he got it nor does he know himself.What app or APN settings do I need to configure in order to get HSDPA (4G)?> I've heard about the thunderbolt app but does that work with this phone? I also tried to copy my brothers APN settings but no luck.
My preferred network right now is set to GSM/ UMTS mode > GSM only Now I know that gsm is only capable of using edge only but what changes do I need to make? I cna only select these from my preferred network settings:

I could not get my Droid Incredible to load past the first white screen, htc said I would need to do a factory reset using the volume down and power button menu options. After trying this three times, my phone will still not get past the first white htc screen.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently transferred from an iPhone 4 to 4s, all my apps went across fine. I also downloaded a few new apps no problem. However, one particular app didn't download and now remains 'Waiting...' I therefore atempted to use itunes to download it and then transfer it onto the phone, the farthest the app got then was 'Installing' but no progress followed. The app cannot be deleted either using itunes and on the phone itself. I even removed all the apps on the phone using itunes but it remained 'waiting...'.
Now, the strangest part is I opened Game Center and it showed the game as installed the PLAY option in the top right. To my surprise the app opened and wroks. HOWEVER, the app remains 'waiting...' everywhere else. It cannot even be closed by double tapping the home button. This means I cannot delete the app nor simply close it - it is constantly on 'in the background'. Summary; App appears not to complete download, cannot be deleted, can be opened through game center and cannot be closed by double tapping home button.

I'm a Canadian and would like use my Iphone 4S while visiting the US. Anyone have any info on US packages or know if they would even work on my phone that's connected to a Canadian carrier (Telus)? I've heard that roaming fees are outrageous! If I don't get a US package, can I use my phone to call, text or surf the Internet at WiFi spots without incurring roaming charges (or any other charges)? I have a E72 in Canada (Toronto, more precisely) and the GPS does not work at all. When I go into GPS it does show the very general map of the area (major highways only), but if I do a zoom no street view, nothing...and it definitely won't search for anything (streets or driving direction). I have turned on A_GPS but it does not seem to help. I am wondering if it's because I am in North America and this phone is still not widely in use yet? I also have a incoming SMS time problem.

Im sure your loving your Nexus One as much as me but there is one thing missing from this AMAZING phone... Turn by Turn Navigation. One reason why I was so excited about this phone was the Turn By Turn Navigation feature. No where does google say that the turn by turn feature is restricted to America.Lets shine some light and get this fixed. They now ship the phone to Canada and this feature should be available in Canada too.
