when i open the netflix app the login screen is too large to input username/password. I have tried un-installing and re-installing a few times and changing the general font setting on the xoom, nothing has changed yet.
View 5 RepliesUpdated and WiFi is fine but now Netflix is hosed. I had installed Netflix from the market. Now when I try to start Netflix it says a new version of the application is found and I have to update. Now I am in a loop that sends me to the market to update. Choosing update sends me to a screen where the only option is to open the app. And so the loop begins...new version must update.I cannot uninstall Netflix. Now it is unusable. Can anyone help? I have forced a stop of Netflix but it is the same loop. Open, must update, market, update, open, must update, market, update, open...Update-- I powered off/on and the Netflix update showed up correctly on the notification area. Updated and happy now. Checking the rest of the apps. Now I am back to enjoying my Xoom FE.

Today Netflix updated their application to allow support for additional devices, and we sure didn't expect support for tablets. View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I reboot my Xoom LTE, dialogue boxes don't open. The screen darkens as though one is coming, but then nothing happens.
Example: I reboot my Xoom and open my email. I click on a link. I expect to see the dialgue box asking me what web browser to use to open the link, but the screen only darkens.
Today, I decided to see if it was just me being impatient. At 1:51p, I tried to open a link after my Xoom had been rebooted around 5a. I left the Xoom alone afterwards. At 4p, it still hadn't managed to open the dialogue box. But now at 9:30p, it opens like normal.
This happens every time I restart my Xoom. I have tried to manage for it. After setting up a "Box" account last week, I loaded the tablet app, but it caused there to be a dialogue box whenever I clicked the "mail" notification, so I got rid of it. I can't just live with one web browser, though. Nor is the stock video player equipped to play all those files.
I'm used to a Windows based environment on my desktop and laptop so perhaps I'm not using the correct terminology here. What I'm finding is that when I'm using my XOOM, all the applications I've opened during the session are still open and are just minimized at the bottom of the screen.

I will touch a button on the screen and nothing will happen for maybe ten seconds, and then it will do the task. Then after this goes on for a few minutes without it getting better, a window will pop up on the screen saying:

This not only happens when browsing, but also when working in some apps. In that case, the above screen will mention the app, not the browser. At this point, sometimes I can't even turn off the Xoom. If I just let it sit, it will "clear" itself and start working again. For the record, I haven't added any apps in the past week and the AVG virus program says all is well.
Up till now I had been playing with a non US 3.1 Xoom. I would stick video content (mainly avi files encoded as divx) in the Movies folder. Selecting the Movie folder from Gallery would show all the content but the only program that would play them was Rockplayer which I had installed.
I know have a US Xoom with 3.2 firmware. With the same type of content in the Movies folder together with a MP4 file encoded with Handbrake to specs that the Xoom can play, Gallery only shows me that MP4 file. The other files just don't show up at all. The only way I can play them is to use ES Filemanager to browse that folder and click the filename to play it or use Rockplayer's explorer interface.

View 15 Replies View Relatedi remembered that being a standout feature of our phone, and while at home on wi fi (i have a 15mbps up and down fiber connection) netflix is just not playing back in the same quality that it used to.before i felt like video playback was almost on par with guys running 720p screens with higher ppi's...(rezound/gnex), at least within this particular app. but now? it looks like any other Internet vid with the quality on high (which imo still isnt all that great and still not as good as going to the desktop site and watching a vid set to 720 or 1080).no other phone was ever touted as having this ability (though i'm sure the rezound and gnex can) and a lot of it had to do with the omap processor being used...is something up with ics thats not letting it happen? or was it the most recent netflix update that supports 4.1?

Every 45 minutes Task Manager interrupts and states that the app has been running for 45 minutes and is consuming battery resources. At this point Task Manager asks me if I want to continue running the app. I can't find any setting to disable this. Netflix is not on the "end" list for Task Manager.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI frequently hit adjacent keys while texting on my old Droid X. A larger screen and of course 4G and a faster processor were appealing as well. As the Razr HD models sport screens almost as large as the S3 I ran to see them on their first day out of the gates. What a disappointment! Holding my old Droid X up against them I saw that the usable screen sizes were identical. Namely 4.3" unless playing videos in which case the video filled up the Razr HD's 4.7" screen. I couldn't find anything else that would fill up the screen. Perhaps, photos might. But internet browsing, texting and whatever else I tried occupied a 4.3" inset within the 4.7" screen. So why have a 4.7" screen at all? The Galaxy S3 on the other hand fills up the entire 4.8" screen with not only video but everything else, including texting, messaging, web browsing, and everything else I tried. So what gives? Why did you even create a 4.7" screen if you aren't going to utilize it to its full potential?

This has happened to me everytime I have tried it. I love the lapdock and would love to reliably be able to use it to view Netflix content, but this issue makes that very difficult.

The browsing speed is very very slow and most sites dont open.The signal strength shown in xoom is - (-105 dBm 3 asu).Is this a issue with Android 3.2 update or my home wifi is weak? Would i be able to reset the tab to the original version?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently transferred from an iPhone 4 to 4s, all my apps went across fine. I also downloaded a few new apps no problem. However, one particular app didn't download and now remains 'Waiting...' I therefore atempted to use itunes to download it and then transfer it onto the phone, the farthest the app got then was 'Installing' but no progress followed. The app cannot be deleted either using itunes and on the phone itself. I even removed all the apps on the phone using itunes but it remained 'waiting...'.
Now, the strangest part is I opened Game Center and it showed the game as installed the PLAY option in the top right. To my surprise the app opened and wroks. HOWEVER, the app remains 'waiting...' everywhere else. It cannot even be closed by double tapping the home button. This means I cannot delete the app nor simply close it - it is constantly on 'in the background'. Summary; App appears not to complete download, cannot be deleted, can be opened through game center and cannot be closed by double tapping home button.
