Jul 5, 2012I live in China and have a China iPhone 4S Model MD242CH currently subscribed to China Mobile. I will be going on vacation in Canada and I want to be able to take my iPhine 4S with me and change out my China Mobile MicroSIM card for a Canadian carriers MicroSIM card (Rogers Wireless, Fido Solutions, Bell Mobility, Telus Mobility, ???). It would also be nice if the 3G (or 2.5G GPRS/EDGE) works. What about my iPhone 4S WiFi ??

Jun 15, 2010I'm trying to preorder on the apple store website. I normally get hung up on the "processing information" screen after picking which data plan I want. The one time I did end up getting past that screen it asked me which apple store location I wanted to pick up from, there was no option to have it shipped. Any idea what gives?

Jun 12, 2010I am now considering having my iPhone 4 shipped to my house, but I need to have it by 12pm, as I am leaving til late that night then.
When you got your 3GS were you guaranteed to have it by a specific time? Like I know FedEx and UPS have a specific overnight that but be there by 10am or something like that. Do you get this option in checkout? Or do they just send it how ever they want?

Jun 23, 2010I apologize if this has been gone over already, i didn't feel like searching through 10000s of recent iphone threads.
I ordered on launch day ( three phones ). They did a pre auth on all 3 phones, but yesterday they released the funds back into my account.
Now today i get an email with tracking # that my phones have shipped, they are currently on truck.
But did not charge my account, is this a common issue to what others may be experiencing?
Thoughts?

Jun 15, 2010All pre-orders for iPhone are being shipped by Apple. However both ATT and Apple are fulfilling and taking the orders. They do not ship to ATT first then ATT re-ships to end user. The only reason ATT gives you that "based on available stock" crapola is because they are not in control of the actual shipping and thus do not have the actual visibility into stock as apple.Thus if you get an order confirmation from either site, you are just as likely to get it on the 24th. Same shipping method. Time of day is simply dependent on the FedEx route.

Jul 13, 2010I just checked my bank account and it showed apple charged for my iPhone which is supposed to ship the 21st. But when I checked my order status my white bumper (ordered two days after the iPhone on a seperate order) had shipped and has tracking info but the iPhone isn't even prepared for shipping. Also they haven't charged me for the bumper.

Jul 27, 2010Just an FYI for anyone still wondering on these ship times. My original order, placed the day they announced it, said it would not ship until the end of August. I just got an e-mail from Apple stating my order shipped, and will be delivered by August 3rd. Cool news, but I probably won't even use the thing as I don't appear to have any reception issues, and really like the look of the naked phone. The only real reason I'm thinking of using it, is to help protect the back a bit when setting it down on certain surfaces.

Anyone have any info on US packages or know if they would even work on my phone that's connected to a Canadian carrier (Telus)? I've heard that roaming fees are outrageous! If I don't get a US package, can I use my phone to call, text or surf the Internet at WiFi spots without incurring roaming charges (or any other charges)? May 24, 2010I have a E72 in Canada (Toronto, more precisely) and the GPS does not work at all. When I go into GPS it does show the very general map of the area (major highways only), but if I do a zoom no street view, nothing...and it definitely won't search for anything (streets or driving direction). I have turned on A_GPS but it does not seem to help. I am wondering if it's because I am in North America and this phone is still not widely in use yet? I also have a incoming SMS time problem.
