I am possibly buying an Incredible later today and I run alot. Does anyone know of a program available for the Droid 2.1 that is good for runners.In a perfect world it would do:

View 4 Replies View RelatedOk so I just got the incredible today. My first Droid phone. I m trying to record and send video via text message. Two things here. 1st the video at 30 secs long seems to be too big to send. I have tried recording it in both formats and at the lowest settings..Any thoughts on how to make it smaller? I was able to send video up to a minute long on my Blackberry so not sure what the problem here is.

Called VZW up they claim that google pushed out an update which breaks Nav. I called BS, then he tried to blame it on the hurricane.I have been through 4 of these phones, all with different annoying problems, Getting tired of it.

I have the newest software update.My problem is that if i for example if a friend of mine sends me a message at 21.00 then i get it at 21.20 (different from time to time) and in the text message it says that i got it 21.00 but really i got it 21.20. When I connect the phone to my PC (Windows 7 x64), I get a computer pop-up that says "Drivers are being installed." This installation always fails. When I open Windows Media Player and hit the "Sync" tab, no device is listed.
According to the Motorola website, Motorola Media Link "allows you to easily transfer, sync, manage, back up and share your phone's content." Sure. The link to the program itself redirects to MotoCast USB, a separate (and apparently new) program which wirelessly syncs my music with my phone. The webpage says it does not physically sync my music. This program does not run when I click on its icon. When I found the .exe file in MS Explorer, I got a BSoD.
I just want a simple way to connect my phone to my computer to transfer my music. I would also appreciate it if Motorola was consistent on its own website about exactly what programs are available for users and what they do.
I am trying to get HSDPA (H bar on the bar signal) to work on my phone. I am currently working on edge right now. My carrier is AT&T.My brother has an Sony Ericsson Xperia mini pro (unbranded and unlocked) and has AT&T service and he was able to get HSDPA on his phone. I have no idea how he got it nor does he know himself.What app or APN settings do I need to configure in order to get HSDPA (4G)?> I've heard about the thunderbolt app but does that work with this phone? I also tried to copy my brothers APN settings but no luck.
My preferred network right now is set to GSM/ UMTS mode > GSM only Now I know that gsm is only capable of using edge only but what changes do I need to make? I cna only select these from my preferred network settings:

GSM / UTMS
I can only get a signal when I choose GSM only?
I could not get my Droid Incredible to load past the first white screen, htc said I would need to do a factory reset using the volume down and power button menu options. After trying this three times, my phone will still not get past the first white htc screen.

However, it seems that Droid thinks I hold the buttons to long and launches the search browser anytime I hold a key down for longer than a nano second (which I guess happens a lot when I type). How do I disable all Long press application launches - especially Google Search? I did disable all other applicatins thru the Settings menu but can't seem to get rid of Goolgle search launching ever minute as I type on the keyboard.

View 7 Replies View RelatedSo yesterday I was using Facebook on my Bionic for a good half hour to 40 min. After I was done I put the phone in my pocket and went on my way. About an hour later I take out my phone to use it and upon waking up the phone, there was a pop up box on the screen stating that the Facebook app was either not responding or has been running for an extended period of time would you like to terminate the app? I click on the button to kill it off and that was that.
Has anyone ever had this happen on their phone? In all the years I've owned an Android phone I have never seen something like this, is this Moto's app killer? I know I do not have any apps listed in the apps to kill in the moto app killer so I'm not sure why this pop up came up.
Many of my gmail address book contacts contain long notes/memo section. Seems that since receiving the recent droid software update, the long notes section of contacts are only partially displayed when viewed on the Droid. However, if I switch to "edit" mode, I can see the complete notes.I am using Droid 2 Global, Android ver. 2.3.3, Sys ver 4.5.607.A956.Verizon.en.US?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSince using ICS on my RazrMaxx When checking email it takes forever (ok 4-8 minutes) to connect and check the mail. It is a gmail based email set up under messaging. Battery Life has dropped dramatically. No universal volume controls for messaging and calls (For example if I want to adjust my phone ringtone to be very soft by using the rocker switch on the side it now only controls just the phone ringer. Messaging would still be at the volume you have the settings at. Previously the rocker switch controlled all volume.)

Received an email at 11:03 on 8/27 that the problem with the phone is not covered under the warrantee and to contact Motorola as soon as possible to authorize and pay for the repair. I agreed to pay $125 plus tax to repair the screen as long as the overheating and battery not holding a charge was looked into. Today I called to see what was going on and was advised that she (rep) has no idea and would send an email and get back to me within 24-24 hours. I advised that was not acceptable and I was sent to the Repair Escalation Department, Curtis advised me the exact same thing and when i explained that my phone has been with Motorola since 8/24 and they have had my payment since 8/27 and that originally I was advised that the repair would be done and the phone back to me within 5 business days and we were now at 8 and I needed to speak to a supervision he stated that he was the supervisor and there was no one above him to talk to. Someone please explain how I am getting the same exact information (none with a 24 to 48 hour wait time) from customer service and the Repair Escalation Department?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to understand how I can do an indoor activity without getting speed and distance data in the results.I have used the Motoactv primarily for outdoor training for hiking, walking, mountain biking, and inline skating. Additionally, I am using for various indoor activities including plyometrics, weightlifting, indoor cycling, and indoor inline speed skating.I have been able to understand the use of GPS for speed and distance calculations (albeit with a number of accuracy impacting calculation concerns as noted in other posts in this forum). What I do not understand is the speed and distance calculations for the indoor activities. Nor do I have any idea on how the accelerometer (or pedometer) capabilities are used in speed and distance in conjunction with GPS for outdoor activities.
Specifically, for indoor activities other than those which are directly correlated to running, walking, cycling, or an elliptical, how are the speed and distance calculated? For example, when I did an hour of weightlifting using that category, the workout results showed that I had travelled over a mile with various speeds. It seems sensible to me that only a few of the indoor workout categories make sense for speed and distance data. I would not expect yoga or weights to track distance. Additionally, in a pretty intense indoor speed skating practice yesterday, I used the Motoactv for the first time to track my HR data. It produced some speed & distance data for the times in which I was skating, but the accuracy was in no way close. I expected no speed & distance data & I would not expect accurate data for inline speed skating (although that would be awesome). how the various indoor activities use the pedometer for speed calculation? Failing that, does anyone know how to stop an indoor activity from tracking speed & distance? Or finally, do any of the indoor activities NOT generate speed & distance?
The Motoactv device has a lot of functionality over & above competitive GPS watches in it being able to intelligently use the GPS or the pedometer for distance calculation for the specific activity. Hopefully, it also has the software logic to NOT calculate speed & distance for certain activities. Recent Garmin devices allowed you to "Use Indoor" if it could not find a GPS signal which turned off all speed/distance calcs. To prevent inaccurate non-sensical data on the Moto, we need to be able to specify activities without speed/distance or be able to turn off GPS & pedometer for specific activities.
My iphone only connect to WIFI in the same room, as soon as I walk about 15 foot away from the router it disconnects and will not pick it up. All my other devices work perfectly even in the garden. I have reset my router/phone/network settings. Baring in mind that my phone is 1 week old as my old one broke.

Typical cycling computers use the sensors to measure both distance and speed. When an ANT+ speed sensor is used with the MotoACTV, does it get used for distance as well, or just speed? I commute in downtown Chicago and would welcome the more accurate distance measurement in addition to the GPS route tracking.

I have found now, 8 runs in that the distance the MOTOACTV is showing is worsening rather than becoming more accurate. I have seen posts from other stating that they corrected the distance after their workout but I did not see details on how to do e also read to not recalibrate. That the MOTOACTV will become more accurate with time but my experience is that it is worsening. Should I recalilbrate or just manually adjust the distance once I know how to do

I find the one in the phone hard to use as it overwrites on the original image, etc. Also I could control the blur and apply different effects based on the depth data saved.
I checked the images outside the phone but they are jpg and couldn't find an extra channel or layer in them.
