Apr 26, 2012Is it possible for phone conversations on iphone 4 to be recorded'? When I call some friends, I hear a rhythmic 'swishing' sound in the background. Not long ago, I discovered my ex had somehow hacked into my phone... changed my passwords on my email & facebook accounts... plus, when I went to Settings.Mail,Contacts, & Info... there was his name next to'My Info Immediately,I erased it and deleted his name/number from my contacts list.I wrote a while back about my situation and received help.I remember hearing that noise then, but it seems I'm noticing it more recently. It's not on every phone call I make.just on calls to personal friends in my contacts list

I know some will say that I have to advise the person I'm talking to, I intend to.I've looked everywhere for an app to do that and didn't find a single thing. Unfortunately this is important enough for me to change phones if I can't do it on my Bold.But I don't want to change this awesome phone.

Dec 3, 2012I just got my Lumia 920 and I love it, but the only thing that drives me crazy is the contacts list. It has over a thousand people beause it imported all my facebook, skype, google and etc. on there. So when I try to search someone or just push search the entire list of over a thousand people pop up and I dont want to look at a bunch of random facebook friends when in reality I only call about 10 people regularly on that list. I have tried to filter and it just says synching then goes back to the home screen. I have tried filtering and a few other things but it just continously says synching in the top right corner. How do I get my contacts to only be saved phone numbers?

Apr 26, 2012Is there a data counter on the Lumia 900 that I can't find? I've tried to call the 3282 data number, and it always tells me I'm at 0 even though I know i've been on the data network and not wifi.Also, can someone explain to me how much data something like the people tile/email account setup uses? I've never understood apps like that coming from suuper old phones. Is it constantly checking your email/facebook? On some time interval? I'd really like to set up facebook and such with the people tile because it seems really nifty, but I don't want to go over my 2gb plan. I just don't terribly understand how it all works, and i'd be willing to try it out if I could see how much data i'm using..but that goes back to my first question...In the past when checking email/facebook I'd always just use the internet browser on my old Nokia e71x, and it wasn't giving me updates in real time like I know this guy is capable of. I'd like to use it, I just don't wanna eat up my data plan.

Jan 29, 2016Absolutely loved the Lumia 950XL when I first set hands on it, only to be disappointed after one day after the other.Apart from the weak battery life, OS crash with reboot, premium quality case creaking... There has been a matter troubling me a lot if this phone is to last for a couple of years. Towards the lower half of the screen (I assume that is where the CPU is), the heat given of is almost unbearably hot to touch (Like gliding your finger tip across a boiling kettle). Occasionally the incense of burning plastic is given out too. Normal usage being browsing on Edge, checking mail and texting, skyping and listening to music.
All in all, it has been a downhill ride, either it might be holding too high expectations for a premium budget phone, or that my suspicions of defective hardware are true.As much as I would like to return for refund, the new windows 10 OS is holding me back, wish there would be more choices for a phone with this OS and hardware specs, but a more long standing and reliable manufacturer.

Its like a gradient from left to right, if you open the keyboard it's very apparent its like a gradient from white to gray. Looks like the left hand side of the screen is going overdrive and going as bright as it can almost?

Nov 23, 2015I just upgraded from a Lumia 920 to a 950. I did a full restore from my backup. Facebook, Twitter and Skype contacts show up fine in the People Hub contacts - but unfortunately LinkedIn is no longer there. When I go to settings in the LinkedIn app and hit "Sync Contacts" - it takes me to the email and accounts setting on my 950, but there is no LinkedIn account to add.

Jan 20, 2015Just received the Long awaited denim update, with the flagship perks of course. But there something else im noticing. The capacitive keys at the bottom are much brighter than before denim. Now it maybe something in my eyes, or I just never noticed how bright they were...but I'm sure that before denim, the lights weren't that noticeable.

Nokia :: Can't See My Conversations
Mar 2, 2010Ever since the newest update (3.2010.02-8.002), I cannot see my conversations.I can see the conversation on the main conversation screen, where all my conversation are. But when I click on a single conversation...I cannot see it or any other SMS or IM in that conversation. Even conversations that I send cannot be seen on this screen. It is only when I go back to the page will all the conversation can I see what I send, but even that is lost when I receive a SMS or IM back.
I did not have this problem prior to the latest update.It is very frustrating not being able to see the history of my conversations.

Feb 10, 2010I just got my N900 today and have a problem.When I go into conversations I can see text messages I have sent/recieved, but if I click into one of the messages, I should see a conversation, but all I see is the text box to write a message, above that is just plain black, like the conversation thread isnt being displayed. The title bar above that is displayed no problem.I updated to the latest firmware and the problem still exists.

Feb 19, 2010I've had the N900 for about 2 months, and just today, everything disappeared from "Conversations" even though I had several text message conversations saved there. Now, anytime I get an SMS text message, my phone shows that I have received a message, but they disappear, unless I send someone a message and they message me back, then that message will open as a new window in the desktop, but nothing at all shows up in "Conversations" anymore at all. Even when I have SMS text messages open as windows on the desktop, when I open "Conversations",it says there are no conversations. Does anyone know what might have happened here and how I can fix it? So frustrating to get a text message and then it just disappears!
