I just upgraded from a Lumia 920 to a 950. I did a full restore from my backup. Facebook, Twitter and Skype contacts show up fine in the People Hub contacts - but unfortunately LinkedIn is no longer there. When I go to settings in the LinkedIn app and hit "Sync Contacts" - it takes me to the email and accounts setting on my 950, but there is no LinkedIn account to add.
View 8 RepliesI just got my Lumia 920 and I love it, but the only thing that drives me crazy is the contacts list. It has over a thousand people beause it imported all my facebook, skype, google and etc. on there. So when I try to search someone or just push search the entire list of over a thousand people pop up and I dont want to look at a bunch of random facebook friends when in reality I only call about 10 people regularly on that list. I have tried to filter and it just says synching then goes back to the home screen. I have tried filtering and a few other things but it just continously says synching in the top right corner. How do I get my contacts to only be saved phone numbers?

I got a Wildfire phone yesterday, which is my first smart phone. I set up my Facebook and Twitter accounts and I'm using it with a sim card from my old phone, so imported the contacts from that.
The problem is when using the People app, I have multiple contacts for the same person. For example, I have 4 separate contacts for my sister - SIM contact, Facebook, Twitter and email. I have managed to link the Facebook, Twitter and email contacts for her, but I can't link her phone numbers to it. I have 3 phone numbers for her (home, work and mobile) on the SIM card - how do I link these so that when she calls me it shows her photo, status updates etc? When I try to link, it doesn't show up the SIM contacts so I can't add her phone numbers to the main contact page

I've tried to call the 3282 data number, and it always tells me I'm at 0 even though I know i've been on the data network and not wifi.Also, can someone explain to me how much data something like the people tile/email account setup uses? I've never understood apps like that coming from suuper old phones. Is it constantly checking your email/facebook? On some time interval? I'd really like to set up facebook and such with the people tile because it seems really nifty, but I don't want to go over my 2gb plan. I just don't terribly understand how it all works, and i'd be willing to try it out if I could see how much data i'm using..but that goes back to my first question...In the past when checking email/facebook I'd always just use the internet browser on my old Nokia e71x, and it wasn't giving me updates in real time like I know this guy is capable of. I'd like to use it, I just don't wanna eat up my data plan.

I receive all other people's group texts without problems (I've got a 1020, AT&T), but one friend (android, Verizon) texts the group and I can't see her texts. View 3 Replies View RelatedOn my old SGSII I had the option to sync contacts from Facebook and it did a pretty good job of matching names so my contacts would have their avatars from Facebook matched with their emails, phone numbers, etc.
This is my first Nexus and I guess the option just isn't there. But what's the best way to sync FB contacts? I see there are a few apps available but some are reviewed to be buggy.
I use to have a Cliq, but now I have upgraded to a Defy. On T-Mobile network in the US. It has motoblur and is android version 2.2.1. The model number is MB525. Inside of my accounts tab I have:

if I open the google or tmobile accts I can click boxes to sync them, but on the top 4 motoblur accts when i open them it just allows me to put in the login and password.when I go into my contacts tab it shows no facebook contacts. if I click the button on which groups to show it doesnt have facebook as an option, just create new group, all contacts, favorites, family room, and starred in android.
I found one place that said to delete my facebook acct on the phone, turn the phone off, delete the motoblur app on my facebook acct, then turn phone back on and add the facebook acct. I did that and it went back and added the motoblur to my facebook acct, now under todays date, so I know it is accepting the password and making contact with my facebook, it just isnt adding any of the contacts.I also went and downloaded the facebook app on the android store because one site said that would do it.. but alas it didnt. I notice a lot of people are having this problem with non us and non motoblur phones, but mine is US and motoblur.
I followed the motorola instructions to import my contacts from my google account into my Razr V. This went smoothly but I can only see the Imported contacts in the "people" app, not the "phone" contacts or in "text me".

Yesterday I have added my Facebook and Linked in accounts in Social Hub. I thought it was like an app or somekind. All I saw was updates from my FB home page. I cant do anything else other than seeing all those updates. I mean I can upload any photos or videos, I understood that its not an app kind but something else. Now, how do I remove/delete those two accounts from that social hub. Couldn't see any options available? Also noticed in other forums that once if we delete that account it cannot be added again coz of SNS feed issues?
View 8 Replies View RelatedSo I can receive texts from everyone in my contacts and who I normally text, but this one girl in my contacts has been telling me she receives my texts but then complains when I dont answer her, but I have not been receiving these texts. So I am curious as to what could be the problem with my Iphone 4? Ive updated it to 5.1 today to see if that was the problem but we are still having issues, and I also checked that she is also using verizon.

When I am in the messaging app and try to update my linkedin account, I get the orange traingle error, telling me that it is "unable to connect to Linkedin" I have re-entered the password, and get the same results. It appears that my linkedin contacts are working and syncing properly. I don't want to remove the account and then add it back as it removes the joinded contacts.
View 1 Replies View RelatedCant understand why the backup to PC of vital Lumia phone information such as contacts, calendar and messges can not be easily and quickly achieved as with the Nokia suite and N8. I believe it is synced automatically to Sky-drive but I cannot find evidence of this. I would like to have control of this data for easy retrieval and stored on my PC. Windows phone software on my PC is sub standard in comparison with Nokia Suite. It is clunky, contacts cannot be backed up, photos have no picture reference when transferred and the overall Windows Phone software on my PC is second rate in contrast to the Windows Phone 8 phone experience. Can anyone enlighten me on how I can easily copy my contacts to PC. No problem getting contacts into the phone. Just unclear on how to get a copy of them out.
