On my old SGSII I had the option to sync contacts from Facebook and it did a pretty good job of matching names so my contacts would have their avatars from Facebook matched with their emails, phone numbers, etc.
This is my first Nexus and I guess the option just isn't there. But what's the best way to sync FB contacts? I see there are a few apps available but some are reviewed to be buggy.
Or am I just missing it? I just want to see my fb friends' profile pics pulled into the Contacts app, like with every other Android phone I've had...

I chose not sync my phone Contacts with gmail when I setup my phone. Is it possible to now sync them? If I enable sync in settings for the Google account, nothing happens. My phone Contacts don't sync with my gmail account.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a Nexus 6 that I absolutely love but I've just updated it to Lollipop and now my Gmail and Google Contacts are not syncing automatically. I've gone through all the settings about a million times and everything is setup properly. I'm currently using an app called Force Gmail Sync to keep my Google account synced up . It works great but I'd prefer to just be running Google apps on my phone and keep everything stock. I've tried a factory reset with no luck. Any secret way to set a sync frequency for Google's Gmail and Contacts apps without using a third party app?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use to have a Cliq, but now I have upgraded to a Defy. On T-Mobile network in the US. It has motoblur and is android version 2.2.1. The model number is MB525. Inside of my accounts tab I have:

if I open the google or tmobile accts I can click boxes to sync them, but on the top 4 motoblur accts when i open them it just allows me to put in the login and password.when I go into my contacts tab it shows no facebook contacts. if I click the button on which groups to show it doesnt have facebook as an option, just create new group, all contacts, favorites, family room, and starred in android.
I found one place that said to delete my facebook acct on the phone, turn the phone off, delete the motoblur app on my facebook acct, then turn phone back on and add the facebook acct. I did that and it went back and added the motoblur to my facebook acct, now under todays date, so I know it is accepting the password and making contact with my facebook, it just isnt adding any of the contacts.I also went and downloaded the facebook app on the android store because one site said that would do it.. but alas it didnt. I notice a lot of people are having this problem with non us and non motoblur phones, but mine is US and motoblur.
How can I import contacts into People? This is what I have done so far:
1) Export a vcard from iCloud.
2) Saved the v card (a vcf file) on Google Drive
3) Opened People on my Nexus 5, and clicked on three dots and Import/Export
4) Click Import from Storage (The other option is 'Import from SIM Card': if I click that, it just says 'No contacts on your SIM card'
5) I get the message 'searching for card data in storage', and then, finally, the message 'couldn't import card'.
6) There is also a message in notifications: Couldn't import vCard, the format isn't supported.
So, what to do: or even just if it is possible?
I just got my Lumia 920 and I love it, but the only thing that drives me crazy is the contacts list. It has over a thousand people beause it imported all my facebook, skype, google and etc. on there. So when I try to search someone or just push search the entire list of over a thousand people pop up and I dont want to look at a bunch of random facebook friends when in reality I only call about 10 people regularly on that list. I have tried to filter and it just says synching then goes back to the home screen. I have tried filtering and a few other things but it just continously says synching in the top right corner. How do I get my contacts to only be saved phone numbers?

I'm wondering if there is an app that let's me sync my Facebook contacts with the contacts on my phone, I've got an iPod Touch and on that I use MyPhone+ and I sync that to Windows contacts and my phone to Windows contacts but no pics get copied. is there an app there does that?

View 9 Replies View RelatedIt appears that the Photos app (not the Gallery app) doesn't share to Facebook properly. I select a photo (or photos) and hit the share button, select Facebook. It thinks about it for a few seconds, then the Facebook post screen appears but with no photos attached.
If i do it from the Gallery app then everything works fine.
If I enter a contact into the people app it won't show up in my phone contacts.
