I chose not sync my phone Contacts with gmail when I setup my phone. Is it possible to now sync them? If I enable sync in settings for the Google account, nothing happens. My phone Contacts don't sync with my gmail account.
View 14 RepliesOn my old SGSII I had the option to sync contacts from Facebook and it did a pretty good job of matching names so my contacts would have their avatars from Facebook matched with their emails, phone numbers, etc.
This is my first Nexus and I guess the option just isn't there. But what's the best way to sync FB contacts? I see there are a few apps available but some are reviewed to be buggy.
Or am I just missing it? I just want to see my fb friends' profile pics pulled into the Contacts app, like with every other Android phone I've had...

I have a Nexus 6 that I absolutely love but I've just updated it to Lollipop and now my Gmail and Google Contacts are not syncing automatically. I've gone through all the settings about a million times and everything is setup properly. I'm currently using an app called Force Gmail Sync to keep my Google account synced up . It works great but I'd prefer to just be running Google apps on my phone and keep everything stock. I've tried a factory reset with no luck. Any secret way to set a sync frequency for Google's Gmail and Contacts apps without using a third party app?

AT&T couldn't add my Droid Maxx to their service, so now I have a phone, with contacts from google, but the contacts don't have any phone numbers even though on a computer I can clearly see the phone numbers. Need transferring contacts from google to galaxy s6 contacts. With out phone numbers, and phone isn't really a phone.

Now I switched to Nexus 6 and my contacts no longer show in BMW, while bluetooth pairing was successful. I can make calls in the car, receive calls in the car, see my sms messages on the car screen, etc. The only option that is missing is contacts view and search.

I've noticed there are some challenges with setting ringtones for text messages from my contacts. I still can't figure how to do this. Am I missing something? View 6 Replies View RelatedVerizon 32 GB Nexus 6, stock no root. 5.1.1. It won't autorotate. Display setting is set to autorotate and Accessibility setting is set to autorotate but it won't. Multiple on/off reboots with settings off and on. Cleared system cache. I downloaded Check My Android and it shows all sensors active and working normally. I downloaded Set Orientation and it won't change automatically. I can force it to landscape mode using the app but have to do it manually. The camera takes a picture in portrait and displays it either upside down or in landscape.

When I go in to Tools > Options then select Contacts and select Microsoft Outlook, Ovi Suite crashes. There is the first Nokia phone so there has been no other Nokia software installed on this PC before.
In 99.9999% of cases I do not want to message someone on google+. Is there anyway I can remove all the google+ integration from the hangouts messaging app and use it only for sms?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm sure many of you have heard that when you enter an incorrect pattern/PIN/password, eventually the phone asks for Google account credentials to unlock it. My Nexus 5 on 5.1.0 does not do this. Does yours? If my lock screen is set to PIN, I can enter as many incorrect attempts as I want, it never asks and never stops me. If I have a pattern set it will let me enter 10 incorrect attempts after which it simply stops me from trying for 30s, but it never asks for Google account credentials.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo this morning I woke up to my phone on a boot loop on the Google Logo. I have no custom roms or mods on it other than I am running ART. I suspect it could be battery related as it will only seem to do this on the charger but when I don't have it plugged in it won't even start up. When it's plugged in it won't even seem to want to stay "off", it boots up to the google logo on its own. If I hold down the volume rocker I can get into the bootloader but it resets before I can select anything and boots right back into the google logo.

I seem to be having some difficulty transferring my old contacts from my old iPhone to my new Nexus 5. I believe the easiest way to do this is via iTunes by going on info and syncing the contacts to Google but when I try to do this there is no option for syncing with Google only Windows and another. I have my gmail account set up on my phone and even set up a Google 'CardDav' account.
