I have the Nokia Lumia 710 (T-Mobile USA). and Today as i was on a filming set being an Assistant Director, i thought pictures would be nice to take and post on facebook for the whole crew to see.
I took about 30 pictures. i went back home and plugged in the phone to Zune. Zune says "Error reading files, disconnect and reconnect, if problem persists contact support" (do not remember the error accuratly as i am still upset but it means the same).
I disconnect/reconnect several times. with nothing. i tried changing dates on both computer and device, still nothing. untill i restarted the device.
this time it syncs fine, it just does NOT sync the NEW pictures and i can only see them on the phone. i delete all and only old pictures (from Zune) untill there was nothing left. now remember Zune does not see the new pictures so they were not selected (and yes i checked sync all in settings).I delete all pictures from Zune (all except new ones that are not even visible), to OPEN CAMERA ROLL ON THE PHONE AND NOT FIND ANY PICTURES LEFT!no USB mass storage (ohhh i can hack it with registry... really, microsoft????)no Arabic support (iOS has native support for all languages and it is NOT market dependent)
I would like to thank you for past Nokia phones and Symbian OS although buggy and updates were merely innovative.but, Microsoft have saved your a$$ from being thrown out of the smartphone market from lack of innovation (no matter how dodgy Android is, i kinda started liking it again after NOW). and Now for me to buy a Nokia device that loses data, ONLY controlled by Zune AND an OS as buggy as my dog **bleep**... that is something unbelievable.
i have left Apple's iOS for you guys, and the iPhone never ever gave me corrupt data messages or lost anything before, i only switched because i am loyal to Nokia and thought of it as an oppurtunity to get back on the Nokia wagon. Do you really want bad word of mouth?
this Mango release is so buggy and incomplete, i cannot even LOCK ORIENTATION, i CANNOT TETHER, so many software-based features are missing. So you compensated the lack of innovation with deeply integrated social networking.that is very good but the phone is unreliable and i am scared to use it again. Battery life is not that great, users are BEGGING for updates like beggers on the street, i would very much like Nokia to completly bankrupt right now. thats how i am upset.
I need someone from Nokia to contact me and show me how to restore those valuable pictures, or i demand compensation.
Not sure if anyone experience this problem.. I lost all my map data after I update the Taiwan map when I was in Taiwan. The reason is I was forced to update the Taiwan map again when I was in Taiwan. Before I travel to Taiwan, I have updated several maps, included Taiwan map in local.
When I used GPS in Taiwan( I use Taiwan paid card to make call), no map was displayed and I was very puzzle and annoy because I thought I installed the Taiwan. I tried whole day, and tried to get it worked but failed.I used hotel's wifi to check the map and was prompted to update the Taiwan map again. Puzzle.. but update anyway. It worked when I traveled around Taipei.
Now the problem come... When I back home here and no maps were shown, except the Taiwan map!! Again, I went online to download the maps. It wasted my efforts and time to download the maps' data.
Here is I want to know;
1) Do maps' data store inside my phone when downloaded?
2) If so, why I traveled aboard and the maps will not display except the local(singapore) map?
3) Even though the maps are free for download, but I have to buy data plan from other countries when travel. I though the maps can use globally?
4) Will 3rd party GPS works in my C6-00? For example Garmin, if nokia maps are not reliable.. Not sure if anyone experience this problem.. I lost all my map data after I update the Taiwan map when I was in Taiwan. The reason is I was forced to update the Taiwan map again when I was in Taiwan. I have all my data that was on my SD card after a hotswap. when I look at the memory card I can see that there is still almost 800 MB used but I can't find anything on my card.I did not have encryption on, on the the card so there is no possibility to decrypt.I have tried to access it in several modes on my pc but I can't see nothing.
I updated the firmware of my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5.1 yesterday. After the update, I noticed that I have lost all of my contacts on the phone, so I plugged it back in to the computer and went with "Restore from backup", which was dated just a few hours prior to updating the firmware.
After it finished restoring, my contacts were all back but half of my apps are missing. I tried redownloading from the App Store as well as syncing from the computer, but the data (game saves, etc) are still missing. How do I get them back?
I recently formatted my phone and memory card and lost the nokia maps data from the card. While updating with nokia suit it says "can't find maps on phone". What can I do for getting back the data?
I've got a little problem with my nokia X7 since I've updated it to symbian Belle. Sometimes an error window appear with this message "error in the writing of the disc. Retry or data will be lost" an then I've got two buttons "retry" or "Stop" but no matter what I do window doesn't disappered. I tried to re-install Belle but nothing has changed. When I conned microSD to my computer a window appear telling that data in storage are damaged or corrupt but windows can't repair it.
I received my new shiny Lumia 920 phone last night and thought the easiest way to transfer my photos from my nokia C7 would be to bluetooth them across. Now I can't find the pics
Since the update, my phone no longer go into landscape. When I text, I usually flip landscape to do it. Now I cannot. Portrait Only. When I snap pictures, I always flip into landscape mode to view them.IT STINKS looking at the pictures in portrait mode. Two large black borders on top and bottom. I also discovered since the update, my phone can't read bar codes. My 920 is crippled but the update was supposed to make things better but it didn't and I'm sure there isn't much I can do about it but be annoyed for the next 2 years.
I keep the location settings on lumia 610 always turned on. I have observed that if I sit at a place, stationary, then the GPS is connected instantly and I can see my location on the map. But whenever I'm traveling in a bus / car the handset cannot find its location using GPS. It shows "Looking for GPS" message for all the time.
Is this a 1. GPS hardware issue ? 2. Some s/w update issue ? 3. Satellite issue ?
My iPhone4S was stolen yesterday and I wiped the data off the phone using my iPad. Unfortunately this wipe of data seems to have beed synced via iCloud to my PC and iPad and I have lost all calendar and contacts details. Is there a way for me to recover this data?
Disk error - cannot complete write retry or data will be lost.I tried to format mass memory but didn't work can't format. Showing same error continuously can do anything.also tried hard reset didn't work.
Any option for checking internet data usage? Any apps available for that?I am indian postpaid user so in postpaid connection i can't check the data usage
My phone is a Nokia N97 which I've been using for a couple of years. I recently bought a Lumia 900 and I need a way to copy my old phone's contacts, calender, messages and notes to my new Lumia 900.
I have a nokia lumia 900 from at&t and is there a way to close the internet in the phone (without using the data plan for extra charges) and ONLY use wifi ?
I've read my Android phone with everything else I need - apps, contacts, drives etc -, just can't find a way to transfer my photos, videos, text messages and all from my Windows phone to the Android.
So my question is; What would be the best way to go about transferring all my data from my Nokia Lumia 925 to my Galaxy S5 or just photos, videos, text messages ?
My phone cannot go into the internet explorer and displays the network issue. I have restarted my phone, checked my data plan if its on, and have taken out the sim card and placed it back in. None seem to work. However, wifi is working properly and I can see the display of 4G and LTE on. =/
Is anyone else having a problem with their Lumia 822 losing it's data connection? My phone loses it's data connection at least once a day. The only way I have found to get it back, is to turn the phone off and back on, which is a pain. It seems to happen a lot at night, but has happened a couple of times during the day. It can be hours before I notice that nothing is coming in or updating.
I can't send SMS with the famous "Can't send, try again" message popping up 10 minutes later. Extremely annoying, especially considering that I am able to receive messages, no problem. As soon as I switch the data connection off - the problem disappears. SMS Centre number is fine. I read somewhere that it might be due to linked contacts having different values of "mobile number" in different profiles. That was the case, but nothing changed even after I deleted the mobile numbers in all but one profile in the linked group.I love my white lumia, but this really makes me want to throw it against a wall. Please help me and save this innocent piece of hardware
I am using Nokia Lumia 800, from couple of days I am not able to send group sms without data connection on, when I make it on all sms are sent as MMS which others are not able to retrive
Is there a data counter on the Lumia 900 that I can't find? I've tried to call the 3282 data number, and it always tells me I'm at 0 even though I know i've been on the data network and not wifi. Also, can someone explain to me how much data something like the people tile/email account setup uses? I've never understood apps like that coming from suuper old phones. Is it constantly checking your email/facebook? On some time interval? I'd really like to set up facebook and such with the people tile because it seems really nifty, but I don't want to go over my 2gb plan. I just don't terribly understand how it all works, and i'd be willing to try it out if I could see how much data i'm using..but that goes back to my first question...In the past when checking email/facebook I'd always just use the internet browser on my old Nokia e71x, and it wasn't giving me updates in real time like I know this guy is capable of. I'd like to use it, I just don't wanna eat up my data plan.
I have a Nokia Lumia 720 running Windows Phone 8.1. I am buying a Motorola Moto X (2014) and I would like a tutorial on how to transfer data from one smartphone to the other. Probably the new device will carry Android Lollipop 5.1 or 5.1.1, I do not know. The Lumia SIM Card is a Mini and the Moto`s a Nano. Is it possible to clone copy the card and install it in the Moto X and at least the Contacts will be recognized?
even every night, while it is in a good range of my my home wlan network. Did anyone has similar experience? I wonder, what can be the cause? These are MB of data and I am running out of my data plan every month. This was never the case previously when I had N8.
I have a nokia Lumia 800 handset with airtel as service provider, I activated their GPRS data service (read edge) and I am not able to connect to internet, however earlier I had Vodafone and I never faced such issues with it,
