I uninstalled most of the Apps from my phone when I bought it because most of those installed were of no interest to me but now that the battery issue seems to be nearing an end for the vast majority of users I'm looking to install some more apps.In several threads apps have been recommended as useful either because they fill in a gap in the Nokia/Windows offering or are otherwise helpful. In this way I've benefited from the GPSinfo and Network setup apps.It strikes me that others are looking to find really useful free apps as well and I thought it would be helpful to pull all the recommendations together in one thread.
So I'm finally getting an iphone 4g tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone had any recommended apps? I'm coming off using dumb phones for the past decade so I'm incredibly excited!

I have just received my storm II from Vodafone and I’m very pleased, but when i try and down the maps it won’t let me it tells me I don’t meet the requirements? Also can you use this phone as a sat nav?Are there any must have apps out there that any would recommend? Is there a app for Hotmail?
I have just updated my X7-00 to Nokia Belle, In the Gallery app, when I press the Share button in the bottom bar it says "Feature not supported", why is that?. Also, the Nokia Recommends app doesn't work and always tells me it has problems with the connection, even though I'm already connected to a Wi-Fi network and every other thing on the phone works. I re-installed the update again but the same problems exist.
I have just contacted a Nokia Store to enquire as to maximising the number of Apps available to me. They advised me to pop in as they could increase the catalogues in my file manager, so increasing the number of apps available. It may be some time before I can get there, can anybody help? How long before the N900 gets free satnav like al the symbian handsets?
i went on the ovi store and realized that i had to purchase the games and apps. so then i went on another site and download stuff instead, i dont really trust anyways, cos it say it might cause harm to my phone, btw, the download doesn't even work! can someone tell me how to download game and apps and store it in my phone in the correct file and such.AND the face book app thingy in my phone doesn't work, whenever i click on it it says no internet connection, when there is, cos if i click on google, then type in facebook and log in then it works, but not directly to the facebook app originally there when i turn on the phone.

Problems again with Lumia 800.I've spotted that I cannot connect to the internet using vodafone's 3G connection.I tried putting my sim card into Android Phone - the internet works perfectly fine.Tried rebooting, restoring, etc.
Currently got a Lumia 800, which doesn't work with the bluetooth in my car. I'm looking at updating the stereo in the car with something that is compatible. Will the 820/920 need to have the same requirements to be met for bluetooth to work? (bluetooth v2.1 with EDR, HSP, HFP & PBAP)

I upgraded my PC from XP to Windows 7. I used the easy transfer tool, but it didn't transfer my zune settings so I had to re-enter these on the new PC. My phone had about 150 MB free space before the transfer. But now it only has 1 MB and the "Reserved space and other content" has grown to 5.58 GB! When I first synced Zune did upload all my music into my phone, so I had to delete that. But what else would be filling the 5.58 GB.
If I were to purchase the 920 from Best Buy Wireless or directly from the online Microsoft Store, would I still be able to get the free wireless charging plate?
Im unable to call Tollfree numbers like 18001026022 ....I get two issues when i try to call those numbers ...
1. Some times it says Call route Not found and it gets disconnected...
2. Sometimes it says the TollFreeNumber you are dialing might not be a Tollfreenumber and I get get charged as ISDN call even for TOLLFREE numbers....I checked using my sim in other phones and it worked perfectly fine....
Reading many topics I see some commands which are recommended to do to solve some problems or find serious infos. As I do not like to do something blindly, can anybody advise me where could be find the list of all commands and its parameters which can be used on N900?
Just bought my Nokia Lumia 920 and noticed that some Nokia apps are missing in the Nokia Collection in the Windows Phone store (for example: Nokia Reading and Play To). If you do try to install them, you get an error saying that the app only works on a 480x800 resolution. when (or if) these apps are available on a Lumia 920?
will the apps developed for wp7.5 be compatible with wp8? are the apps hardware dependent? specific apps in question are the third party apps for the FM radio
I've had the Lumia 920 for about a week and a half now without any problems, and after the complimentary wireless charger came in, I used it. But now some of my phone's basic apps will not start. When I tap them, it shifts to a black screen (time still visible at the top right), and after a couple of seconds of nothing happening, the phone brings itself back to the start screen. Apps that still work are one's I've downloaded myself from the store and Music+Videos, but just to name a couple, apps like Messaging, Camera, Calculator, Calendar, Contacts, Settings, Mail, Internet Explorer, all give me the problem I've described.
I've tried turning the phone off and on several times, including a soft reset, but no luck.
I have not tried a hard reset yet as I was hoping there might be a solution without having to resort to that.
Im a cheap-o and i dont feel like shelling out money for a whole bunch of games on iphone when id rather buy new xbox 360 games. does anyone know if there will be any free iphone apps for game center?
