May 7, 2012trying to get the damn thing to charge, plug, unplug, check its still charging, its stopped,repeat process, never fully charges. Got a new charger for it, had ONE full charge then had the same problems. Hard reset the other day and is now worse than ever. Last night it was charging for ages, came back to find it at 0% even though it was still merrily flashing to say it was charging, clearly it is not. Left over night to find it had died altogether, cue the usual hours and hours of trying everything to get it to come back on,heating, soft reset, hard reset, unplugging, trying various places to plug in, all usb ports etc blah to then get stuck in the infinite reboot cycle.A zillion hard resets later it finally comes on, leave it to charge a little before going through the set up, there was a small amount of charge, come back to do set up and its gone back down to 0% of its own accord.

Jan 25, 2012Was installing apps from the marketplace while listenting to music via Spotify, suddenly the phone froze and got stuck. after a few tries i managed to restart the phone by holding the powerbutton in for aproximately 10s. now its stuck on the Nokia screen, hard reset didnt work (holding down - vol.down, power and camera button) soft reset didnt work, obviously. what am I suppposed to do now? I only played with it for 30 mins then it died?
edit: it also seems, its not charging via the adapter that came with it? upon additional soft resets holding powerbutton in) it comes up with battery icon with one red brick, then it seems to restart and vibrate, before it gets stuck on nokia screen again. until i reboot it again. will let it stay on the nokia screen for the night, let's see what happens.

Jun 10, 2012In this thread, 4G referrs to HSPA+, LTE referrs to LTE.Below I'm going to go into detail about the LTE issue with the Lumia 900 on AT&T. This issue is separate from the no data connectivity issue that has already been addressed with an update.The problem: The phone will not reconnect to LTE after you leave the LTE coverage area and come back into the LTE coverage area. Data works fine, but the phone only connects to 4G (HSPA+). You are now stuck with slower 4G untill you reboot the phone or use the airplane mode trick (explained later).For example: I live in a 4G coverage area and work in an LTE coverage area. I go to work and the phone connects to LTE. I go home and the phone drops to 4G like it should since there is no LTE there. When I go back to work the next day, the phone will not connect to LTE. It stays on 4G. I have attached two pictures demonstrating the issue. Picture 1 shows the phone with a 4G data connection even though I have 5 signal bars and I'm in an LTE coverage area. Picture 2 shows the same phone after I reboot the device. I'm in the exact same location, but I now have LTE after reboot.
When does the problem seem to occur? The problem occurs if you leave the LTE coverage area and come back after a few hours. It seems to happen most often after only 2 to 8 hours in the 4G area.I have been working with AT&T engineering for about a month and they have done multiple traces and can't find anything wrong with the network. They see the phone connected to the 4G antenna instead of the LTE antenna on the tower. My moms Lumia 900 has the same problem. My wife has the HTC Titan II Windows Phone with LTE and it works perfectly.Based on my own observations, the issue has nothing to do with the amount of data you use either. During the time you leave the LTE area, the battery may also appear to drain faster than normal. I believe the problem is the phone keeps looking for that LTE signal but can't find it. It then gives up and goes into 4G mode to save the battery but never again tries to reconnect to LTE.
How to force create the problem: I did this 8 miles from the official LTE coverage area. 1) At a high elevation facing the LTE coverage area, I turned on airplane mode while I was NOT in the LTE coverage area. 2) Next I turned off airplane mode. 3) The phone connected to LTE with one signal bar while not in the LTE coverage area. 4) Moments later it dropped to 4G. 5) Then I drove 10 minutes to the LTE coverage area and it did not connect to LTE. It appears the phone saw the very weak signal and locked itself in 4G mode.Temporary fix: To restore the LTE connection, you can reboot the device, or turn airplane mode on and then turn airplane mode off a few seconds later. This of course turns off all radios and turns them back on.

Jul 25, 2012When I connect my Lumia 610 with charger, Its touch screen gets stuck. It does not allow me to unlock the phone by sliding the wallpaper upside. When I disconnect charger then it works like anything. I had also noted that some times, the wallpaper keeps jumping and suddenly slides upside and random applications gets started. But again when I remove the charger then it works normally. Is there any issue regarding the USB connector?

Aug 29, 2012I've had my lumia 800 for a year now and loved it, but unfortunately I dropped it on the corner closest to the sim card slot, and it appears that the clip which stops the sim card holder from springing up has been damaged so it won't stay in place anymore and pops up. Now trying to use this phone with another GSM carrier, makes me wonder, why would T-Mobile/Nokia disable the option to change/add apn settings? So only calls and sms would work on other sim cards! The internet and mms feature is blocked, because T-Mobile settings are hardcoded into the firmware! I have Lumia 710 which is also T-Mobile branded, but there is a button "add apn" under settings>cellular. I don't know t-mobile chose to do it or nokia, but please add the above option via OTA update, it is really needed!

Jun 17, 2012I am unable to end calls on my Lumia 800. As soon as I hit send on a phone call, whether the phone is close to my face or not, the phone goes black, and stays black until the other end hangs up.
I went into the Diagnostics to check the Proximity Sensor and it is stuck in "Detected" mode. My phone has no screen cover and is only about a month old. There's nothing obstructing the top right side corner over the sensor. This behavior didn't begin after any update, and I have no background tasks running (though I don't believe the sensor is available via the APIs anyways).
Since there's a ton of people on xda-developers with the same issue, is there any fix to this or is my phone faulty? Is Nokia aware of this and has there been any effort to contact providers or Lumia 800 customers to let them know this is a major, wide reaching problem with this phone?

Jul 25, 2011I just sent my Xoom off on a repair ticket because when I went to put in the SD card, I goofed. I did not realize the clear plastic "fingernail" was holding the SD slot. I tried to put the card in and it slipped under the appointed slot and got stuck inside the Xoom.if you haven't inserted your SD card yet, don't do what I did. There is a clear plastic tab that must be removed from the slot for the SD card. get the card back with the Xoom. It worked fine even with the stuck card, but the dust cover wouldn't go back on.

Nov 16, 2014I have had my Lumia 1020 since around May 2014. At first it worked great and I had no problems with it, but a few months ago as I started to use the camera more and more, the shutter started getting stuck. It can happen at the worst such as when I'm at a concert or a family party. I usually have to restart the phone, re-open any app that uses the camera, and close it out.
My girlfriend got her Lumia 1020 before I did, but she always had the problem. I have also tried resetting the camera.
