View 13 RepliesI had a problem when I added an Exchange Mailbox on a Nokia N8 and I had to take off the Device PIN lock from Exchange Access Clients and it automaticaly restarted the phone followed by a factory reset. When it was done, the phone lost all its contacts, messages and music. Than I have discovered the MicroSDHC Class 4 Card 8Gb was not been recognized in Windows and tried also on Linux with no success. Is there anyway to recover back the important information from the MicroSD card?
View 1 Replies View RelatedUpdated to the latest fast ring build and I can no longer see most of the apps on the SD card. They are now grayed out. I've tried moving them to the phone and updating them. Pictures and music are still viewable on the card. I have tried everything that I can think of except restoring the phone
View 6 Replies View RelatedI want to add more music to my 1520, so I was thinking about getting a bigger microSD card. It's definitely outgrowing my 32GB one, so I have my sights on a 64GB (or maybe even a 128GB). I don't mind having to re-add my music to the new microSD. The major question here is: Can I move my apps (and data) from one microSD to another microSD smoothly and successfully?
I'd really don't want to have to re-download ALL of my apps onto the new microSD card. Downloading my apps to my phone's memory is not an option; the phone doesn't have enough free memory to accommodate my app catalog. I already know how I will do it...it's only a matter of if it can be done.
i just bought Lumia 950XL. unfortunately, my device unable to detect my micro sd card. I have tried several other micro sd card that working well from other devices, but the result still the same. I have tried reformating the device, start the device without sim card, the outcome remain the same.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought a 16gb MicroSD card for my 5230 Nuron. How do I transfer everything from the original 4gb card to the new card? I've downloaded some apps and themes and I want to make sure they get transferred to the new card. I tried doing a full backup and restore using Ovi Suite and some of the downloaded apps made it and some didn't. I tried to re-download some of them from Ovi Store but Ovi Store seemed to think they were still there and wouldn't let me download them again. Is it as simple as copying the contents of the old card to the new card?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI just got myself a E52, was very surprised to see a 1GB Card in such a great phone. (Is this 2005? 1 GB Card)Anyways, here is my main question. I want to change this card to 8GB.I already have got the 8GB MicroSDHC card, but not sure how this will work. There is Maps Data about 500 MB, and other files.if i simply copy the contents of one card to other will it work?
View 9 Replies View RelatedSince it seems that prices for microSDHC cards have dropped quite a bit recently (you can get a 16GB Class 10 Samsung one for £25 now) I'm thinking of getting a new Class 10 one for my X3-02. Does anyone know if one will work in the X3-02, and whether I'd get the benefit of the full speed? Also, while a 32GB card is probably out of my price range at the moment, has anyone managed to get one to work in an X3-02? I notice that the X3-02 Specifications page on Nokia's UK site is still contradicting the manual by saying that the phone accepts cards up to 16GB, rather than 32. When I asked Nokia Support they said 16GB was the correct figure, but that was a couple of firmware revisions ago.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently acquired a 32 GB class 10 Kingston microSDHC card for use with my N8.
The phone seems unable to detect it however
The card works fine on the PC, and I tried out a couple of other microSD cards (lower capacity though - 2 and 4 GB) in the phone, and they work fine as well. So it's just this combination of 32 GB card + N8 phone that seems broken.
I am using Nokia 5800 XM firmware 50.0.005.
1. I have my own tone for incoming sms and it is not a song so I don't what it to be added to my music library in default music player I can't understand in what folder I should put it on SD card? (in other words what folder is not scanning for music by default music player).
2. In what folder I should put my music files by default? SoundsMusic? If I will put it in this folder my music library will be updating automaticly with new files from this folder?
3. Do you have any description of folders in memory/SD card and what content is expecting to be in these folders.
I bought a 32GB MicroSD card for my N8 so that I had enough capacity to store all of my MP3s. Unfortunately I can't convince Ovi Music Player to sync music to that location. It always tries to sync the music to the N8's 16GB internal storage area despite there not being enough capacity to do so. Is there any way to configure either Ovi Music Player or the N8 to use the MicroSD card exclusively for the music library?
View 19 Replies View RelatedI want more memory for my N8 and am thinking of a 32gb micro sd card. I would like to use it for backups, and recording video. Class 10 is good for video I have heard, but do I really need it. I am thinking of SanDisk Ultra 32GB microSDHC Card Plus Adapter (SDSDQUA-032G-U46A).
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with my boss' Lumia 1520. Would love to import photos to 1520 and since every photos are categorized in folders, I just copied all the folders to Pictures folder in SD Card.
What happens next is that these photos don't show up in Photos App. I checked the Storage Sense, it said that there is no photos (0KB), and the size of all the folders I have copied before are shown in Other Storage (~4GBs)
What I have tried:
- Format the SD Card using Storage Sense, then put the SD Card inside the phone and connect it to PC, then moved the photos to the phone using USB Connection. Failed.
- Put the SD Card into my Transcend Card Reader, move the photos into the SD Card then put it again into the phone. Failed.
- Renaming the folders in Files App in Lumia, then check the Photos App whether it has shown up in the album section. Failed.
- Renaming the folders in Windows 7, then check the Photos App whether it has shown up in the album section. Failed.
- Fully format the SD Card using Windows 7, and move the photos to the SD Card and put it again into the phone. In progress: formatting the SD Card.
My C6-01 came with a 1G microSD card. Want to upsize to a 4G but couldn't copy two files in it (card_content.cid and SD Content Packege sd_SEA_EA) to my PC hard disk. Can I just ignore them?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had a nokia 5220 express music for about a year now, and when I bought it I bought an 8 GB MicroSd card.since the beginning whenever I connect to any PC via the phone the PC showed that the memory card had only 3.4 GB and the nokia PC suite also showed me the same size.
The problem is that when I check the setting of the phone the memory status shows that I have a total of 7.4 GB, also whenever I connect my MicroSd card via a card reader the PC reads and shows that I have a total of 8 GB, until now I didn't mind this problem however now I've almost reached the full capacity and I'd like to fix this problem or bug.
I cann't find the updated maximum microSD memory card size for the Nokia 6303 Classic phone. All the spec's sites and documentation list 4GB as the maximum, but I'm using an 8GB card without any problems. (After downloading fireware update)
I would like to upgrade to a higher size either 16GB or better still 32GB. But before heading out and buying a card I would like to know if anyone has tried using these cards with this handset before successfully.
The Blackberry site says that the phones use a microSD card. Will a microSDHC card work?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just got my N900 about 2 days back, my sister dropped it and it would not turned on. I flashed it, and now it turns on but it does not recognize my internal memory card. I don't have an external card. I can't use camera, all websites show blank, and I get low error messages on almost everything else due to this.
If I go to settings/memory the the device memory is full and available memory for installable applications is at 80 MB. There is no corrupt memory card message. Also if I go to backup utility I get a "no memory card inserted" message. Any suggestions?
The title pretty much sums up my problem. I used the instructions from here to re-flash my N900.
http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_firmware#Windows
And now as the N900 starts (takes a really long time) it does not ask for the SIM-card PIN code and as it is started it just shows a SIM-card icon with a red line over it near the battery icon. SIM-card is fine as it works on my N95. Any ideas what's wrong? I also tried another SIM-card. Nothing. And PC-Suite is not recognizing the phone either. I even tried flashing the eMMC but it didn't make any difference. The small lights in the bottom of the screen just blink for about 45 seconds and then after the boot video the phone start as if no SIM-card is there.
I have installed the Windows Phone app on my iMac. When I plug in my Lumia 920 I get the charging tone, but the app stays at the "Connect your Windows Phone to continue" screen?

Looks like an Adata or Kingston except for the lack of logo. When I installed it out of the package the phone said the card was corrupted, so I reformatted on PC.Took it out of PC, put it in the phone, phone said the card was unformatted, and gave me the option of formatting it.Ran the phone's formatting option , and the card is not recognized on the phone or the PC.when installed in the phone and I go to "memory" in the filemanager, the cardslot shows as empty, no card in place. when I put the card into the slot on my notebook, it doesn't even recognize the mSDcard.does this mean the card is defective.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently got a Kingston 16GB Class 4 microSD (from a reputable source - not ebay - and yes it is a genuine 16GB microSD) for my N8 and want to transfer my music to it, to free up space for photos and video on the phone itself. What I thought should be a simple process, thanks to Nokia, has turned out to be a non-trivial exercise.I naively copied my MUSIC folder to the microSD (F), and then deleted the MUSIC folder on the E drive, and refreshed the library. It went through the process of seemingly refreshing for ages, number of tracks clocking up, but then told me the music library was corrupt and showed nothing. After playing for a while, I decided to reverse the process, put my music back on E and deleted the MUSIC folder from the F drive. Refreshed library and I was back to square one (thankfully), and everything worked as before, but, of course, I still hadn't got my music across to the microSD.
Then I searched these forums and found loads of people had had the same problem. It seems that, (as is often the case) the refresh of the library has bugs, and keeps old files somewhere on the device that should be deleted by the refresh process for it to work properly, but hang around causing problems (thanks Nokia - your software guys strike again)Despite trying to find these 'private' folders, they do not appear to be anywhere on any drive on my N8 (and, yes, I did have show hidden files set)
So, simple question is, how can I successfully transfer my music to the microSD so that it just works? Do i have to delete all 1400 tracks and reload them onto the F drive, and if I do this, will it sort the library problem. Ideally I would appreciate a tried and tested method from someone who has actually DONE it, as I don't want to screw my N8.
I got my N900 monday together with a new O2 sim card. It worked fine on monday and tuesday, but since yesterday, the connectivity to the O2 network is down. When I start up the phone, it asks for the PIN; so it seems that the sim card is recognized. But it does not connect to the network! The provider name does not appear next to the status bar, and there is no connectivity indicator on the status bar. Offline mode is disabled, of course.
Text messages cannot be send; when I try to call someone, I get an error (translated from german: "network not available" or similar). The strange thing is that sometimes I can reach the network for very short time. I then get missed test messages, but that's it. The connection lasts for not more than 2-3 minutes, I guess. I tried another sim card, and this one did not work, too. The sim card was placed properly into the slot. Is there anything I can do, or may this be a well-known firmware bug?
After update to wp 8.1 Prev my phone didn't recognized by my laptop (windows 7), Its been more than 9 months now. I thought its a bug in preview so I dont really care and use to move data by Remote device manager. Than I got the denim update....then wp 8.1 Update 2.... now windows 10 Technical Preview but my phone didn't recognized. Change many data cables and tried on 3 different laptops with different OS but not get luck. Than I took my laptop and all the data cables I have to the Mobile Phone Market I searched for Lumia 1020. And surprisingly I found 3 devices having update wp 8.1 not any developers preview or windows insider app. They all connected with my laptop instantly with my data cables. The 3 difference I found in my device and other devices are:
My Device:
Software: Windows 10 Mobile Technical Preview
OS version: 10.012534.56
Firmware revision Number: 3051.50009.1451.1001
All other Devices:
Software: Windows Phone 8.1 Update
OS version: 8.10.14219.341
Firmware revision Number: 3051.50009.1451.1002

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy daughter is a proud owner of Nokia Asha 203 since x-mas. She asked me do buy a memory card and I took a 16 GB class 6 one (from Samsung). When I put the card in the phone, it does not recognize it:
- I have copied some MP3s and they are not detected. When I choose "Memory library details" from the media player, it says
Memory card: (unknown)
- When I plug in an USB cable and choose mass storage mode, the phone says "Insert memory card to continue"
I have tried with an older card - 4 GB class 4 - and it works like charm, the phone detects and plays MP3s from it. I have tried putting the 16 GB MircoSD in another player (in fact, one cheap chnese player) - works just fine.
I have updated to the latest firmware: 20.52 from 27-09-12. Did not help. It seems to me that Asha 203 cannot handle 16GB MicroSDHC.
Does the tour support 16gb microsd card?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI know this might be a really obvious question for some but I thought I would ask anyway. I recently upgraded to an android phone but really don't like it and it's to late to return it. So, my options are to go back to my 8330 which is 2 years old and hope it makes it the next 2 years of our contract or stay with the Android that annoys the heck out of me. Is it possible to take the SD card out of the android and put it in the BB so I don't have to deal with activation fee's? I'm thinking that it's not possible but a friend insists that I can do it.
Don't want to damage my BB. Thanks in advance for any advise.
I have had my BlackBerry Curve 9330 for almost a year now, and suddenly today I got the error "Media Card Storage can not be accessed due to fatal errors" I havent dropped my phone or gotten it wet.
