It's been like this for a while, I can't uninstall it or anything either. It shows that download bar below the app with no progress. When I click on it, it goes to downloads and it says no downloads in progress. I can't call up the program either.

I'm at Mexico, i'm using a Lumia 710, and it has been working bad, it rebooted frequently and apps wouldn't load, so I did a hard reset to it. I've been using Nokia Reading to read some books for homework, and since I reseted my phone, it now says that the app isn't supported.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI was browsing the options under the settings and tried selecting 'feedback to nokia'. A prompt came up (can't remember the exact wording) saying there was a problem with two buttons. One button was to uninstall and the other was to take you to the store entry for this item. The text of the prompt suggested going to the store and trying to install again. If that failed it indicated to select uninstall and then reinstall the 'app' (really a setting option). If I picked the store button the only option I had was to share this app. So I went back to settings and selected the uninstall button. But now I can't find the 'feedback to nokia' when searching the store. So I was wondering how I can reinstall this item under settings.
View 3 Replies View Relatedtrying to get the damn thing to charge, plug, unplug, check its still charging, its stopped,repeat process, never fully charges. Got a new charger for it, had ONE full charge then had the same problems. Hard reset the other day and is now worse than ever. Last night it was charging for ages, came back to find it at 0% even though it was still merrily flashing to say it was charging, clearly it is not. Left over night to find it had died altogether, cue the usual hours and hours of trying everything to get it to come back on,heating, soft reset, hard reset, unplugging, trying various places to plug in, all usb ports etc blah to then get stuck in the infinite reboot cycle.A zillion hard resets later it finally comes on, leave it to charge a little before going through the set up, there was a small amount of charge, come back to do set up and its gone back down to 0% of its own accord.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWas installing apps from the marketplace while listenting to music via Spotify, suddenly the phone froze and got stuck. after a few tries i managed to restart the phone by holding the powerbutton in for aproximately 10s. now its stuck on the Nokia screen, hard reset didnt work (holding down - vol.down, power and camera button) soft reset didnt work, obviously. what am I suppposed to do now? I only played with it for 30 mins then it died?
edit: it also seems, its not charging via the adapter that came with it? upon additional soft resets holding powerbutton in) it comes up with battery icon with one red brick, then it seems to restart and vibrate, before it gets stuck on nokia screen again. until i reboot it again. will let it stay on the nokia screen for the night, let's see what happens.
I've only had my lumia for 2 weeks, second time plugging in my head set and I can't get it off head set mode. Rings, beeps and vibrates, but no sound for music, etc. Volume is turned up and it works when I plug my head set in. But when I unplug..It's silent
View 5 Replies View RelatedIn this thread, 4G referrs to HSPA+, LTE referrs to LTE.Below I'm going to go into detail about the LTE issue with the Lumia 900 on AT&T. This issue is separate from the no data connectivity issue that has already been addressed with an update.The problem: The phone will not reconnect to LTE after you leave the LTE coverage area and come back into the LTE coverage area. Data works fine, but the phone only connects to 4G (HSPA+). You are now stuck with slower 4G untill you reboot the phone or use the airplane mode trick (explained later).For example: I live in a 4G coverage area and work in an LTE coverage area. I go to work and the phone connects to LTE. I go home and the phone drops to 4G like it should since there is no LTE there. When I go back to work the next day, the phone will not connect to LTE. It stays on 4G. I have attached two pictures demonstrating the issue. Picture 1 shows the phone with a 4G data connection even though I have 5 signal bars and I'm in an LTE coverage area. Picture 2 shows the same phone after I reboot the device. I'm in the exact same location, but I now have LTE after reboot.
When does the problem seem to occur? The problem occurs if you leave the LTE coverage area and come back after a few hours. It seems to happen most often after only 2 to 8 hours in the 4G area.I have been working with AT&T engineering for about a month and they have done multiple traces and can't find anything wrong with the network. They see the phone connected to the 4G antenna instead of the LTE antenna on the tower. My moms Lumia 900 has the same problem. My wife has the HTC Titan II Windows Phone with LTE and it works perfectly.Based on my own observations, the issue has nothing to do with the amount of data you use either. During the time you leave the LTE area, the battery may also appear to drain faster than normal. I believe the problem is the phone keeps looking for that LTE signal but can't find it. It then gives up and goes into 4G mode to save the battery but never again tries to reconnect to LTE.
How to force create the problem: I did this 8 miles from the official LTE coverage area. 1) At a high elevation facing the LTE coverage area, I turned on airplane mode while I was NOT in the LTE coverage area. 2) Next I turned off airplane mode. 3) The phone connected to LTE with one signal bar while not in the LTE coverage area. 4) Moments later it dropped to 4G. 5) Then I drove 10 minutes to the LTE coverage area and it did not connect to LTE. It appears the phone saw the very weak signal and locked itself in 4G mode.Temporary fix: To restore the LTE connection, you can reboot the device, or turn airplane mode on and then turn airplane mode off a few seconds later. This of course turns off all radios and turns them back on.
like my title states how would I install denim using the recovery tool? I tried looking on here for a step by step and I'm surprised there is no manual or instructions on how to do this.. is it difficult? is it as easy as pressing a button and let it do it's thing? I would need the HK variant of Denim.

When I disconnect charger then it works like anything. I had also noted that some times, the wallpaper keeps jumping and suddenly slides upside and random applications gets started. But again when I remove the charger then it works normally. Is there any issue regarding the USB connector?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to install a software uodate on my E72 using Ovi Suite. I have not updated before. My phone is connected to my PC with a USB. I am using Windows XP. Ovi appears to have identified relevant updates and backed up the data on my phone. Ovi suite states that it is preparing to install. It has been like this for 4 hours. There is a warning not to disconnect the USB or switch off the phone or the phone may stop working. When I try to close Ovi suite it says it cannot be closed because it is busy. There is no option to cancel the install. My only options appear to be to shut down the PC or unplug the cable. Wish I had not started on this process.

I tried to install the latest version of iOS via wifi which I have done many times before with no problem. This time I ended up with the phone stuck in recovery mode. If I connect via cable to iTunes, it tells me that I will need to use recovery and restore. I would very much like to attempt to save photos and contact updates done since the last restore.Â

I am unable to end calls on my Lumia 800. As soon as I hit send on a phone call, whether the phone is close to my face or not, the phone goes black, and stays black until the other end hangs up.
I went into the Diagnostics to check the Proximity Sensor and it is stuck in "Detected" mode. My phone has no screen cover and is only about a month old. There's nothing obstructing the top right side corner over the sensor. This behavior didn't begin after any update, and I have no background tasks running (though I don't believe the sensor is available via the APIs anyways).
Since there's a ton of people on xda-developers with the same issue, is there any fix to this or is my phone faulty? Is Nokia aware of this and has there been any effort to contact providers or Lumia 800 customers to let them know this is a major, wide reaching problem with this phone?

I used the BlackBerry Desktop Software and clicked the "Update my device" button in updating my BlackBerry Curve device software version. The process was started last Monday, November 15, 2010 but until now is not yet finish (Thursday, November 18, 2010). Is this normal? It says to try updating my phone but my phone is already updated. I don't know what to do. Someone suggested a factory reset and I did and I lost everything because I thought I had it backed up to my SD.

Everything was working great except I had an issue with my bluetooth connection in the car so I decided to do a reset on the device to see if it would fix the problem. After the reset, the problem was fixed, however I have 7 apps that will just not install. I keep getting an error saying
"Application name needs to be installed on my internal hard drive. We'll override your settings only for this installation" (apps are installed on my SD Card). After I say OK, it will start downloading and then I get "Error, see details" and I get the same error message again. If I cancel the download, the next time I check for updates, these all come up again and I get the same error messages again.
