Is there a way to install old firmware on my Lumia 1020 (AT&T version) unlocked? I want to do the keyboard trick to get Internet Sharing working on tmobile then will upgrade back to Cyan. Nokia Software Recovery and Windows Phone Recovery only shows Cyan.

I hit yes and says no app available and takes me back to the post. When I install the App from the app store, it's free, it appears to install, but cant access it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI suspect the Lumia BLACK update messed my 1020 up. I'd like to downgrade to Amber if thats possible.If i understand correctly, UPGRADING to 8.1 will not fix anything hardware related since its only a SOFTWARE update, not a firmware update.
Reloading Lumia BLACK reloads the SAME firmware so the issue persists.
Loading AMBER would load a different firmware, which might revert the hardware to pre-problem state.I have followed all the tutorials to set up the programs for loading software/firmware, i just cant seem to find a copy of the Amber firmware.
I'm from the Philippines and I really can't wait to try black Update on my Lumia 1020 since it is still waiting for approval.

2. Will the Access points on my current cellphone be available on the other firmware (access points on my cellphone are auto generated or it is their by default.)
I've just updated my Lumia 1020 to Windows 10 preview 10572. Everything seems ok but for one thing - I can't install the twitter app. It's in the store an allows me to start installing, but it either fails after completing installation, or after restoring user data. I then get an error message with the error code 0x8103010F. I have tried soft resetting several times, but it will not install the app in full. Every other app seems fine, it's just the twitter app that has the issue.

I tried rooting my Galaxy S5 SM-G900T and after the root process with Odin and TWRP in the last step when I rebooted the phone it got stuck on a boot loop in the Samsung logo, so I had no choice but to do a Factory reset which even the OS got deleted in the process. I'm downloading the 5.1.1 firmware for my phone on my computer but I have questions on how to install it on my phone now, because obviously PC is not recognizing my phone or it is not letting me access the storage or sd card once connected. I have Kies 3 in my pc and TWRP on the phone. Which way can I install the firmware on my phone again?

I ended up uninstalling Norton but having gone through all the steps and downloading the files my PC does not get past 0% on "Firmware upgrade progress" and the mobile just displays a little green android with the message "Downloading . . . View 1 Replies View Relatedtoday I picked up a rough looking Bold 9000 and swapped in my spare parts onto it. The catch is, it was a Bell phone. I already unlocked it and it states it is on rogers network now. I don't want the Bell logo/wallpapers to load upon startup, so I though by installing FW Version 5.0.1626 from the blackberry Rogers download page it would fix it.The software update just finished(about 10-15 min) and I see a bell background and bell startup logo. Should the Rogers FW change this over? or are the bell wallpapers/startup logo's programmed into the phone itself and NOT the FW?I don't want to remove the Logo completely, I just rather have it say ROGERS like my old BB and have all the rogers software/configuration.
View 2 Replies View RelatedLately, I've been getting a fair number of corrupted DNG files in my Lumia 1020 - I mean, I guess they're corrupted, since when I import them to Lightroom, the program states it can't open or edit them.
Curiously, the 5 mpx are fine.. When I check the size of the DNGs, I can see that they have, exactly, 1 byte less, in size, than the DNGs that Lightroom can edit.
On my N8 and 808 I would just hold down the slide unlock. I did some searches but can't find out how to do it on the 1020. Do i need to get an app?

I had been listening to music on my way to work this morning, put the phone down on the table, and no more than an hour later the phone was off. I tried powering it up, but nothing happens, nothing appears on the screen, no startup vibration, etc. The phone had a full charge before work. I know if there is a batteryproblem, the phone will display a red battery picture, but this has not happened.
