View 2 Replies View RelatedWas installing apps from the marketplace while listenting to music via Spotify, suddenly the phone froze and got stuck. after a few tries i managed to restart the phone by holding the powerbutton in for aproximately 10s. now its stuck on the Nokia screen, hard reset didnt work (holding down - vol.down, power and camera button) soft reset didnt work, obviously. what am I suppposed to do now? I only played with it for 30 mins then it died?
edit: it also seems, its not charging via the adapter that came with it? upon additional soft resets holding powerbutton in) it comes up with battery icon with one red brick, then it seems to restart and vibrate, before it gets stuck on nokia screen again. until i reboot it again. will let it stay on the nokia screen for the night, let's see what happens.
I'm running the latest Dev preview so I have Cyan. I had an event on my calendar for last night. It starting showing the day before, awesome, but today it won't go away. I even restarted the phone, no dice. Deleted yesterdays event from my calendar, still there.
Having issues with the lock screen and calendar events with Cyan? I did a hard reset after doing the Cyan update and I did not restore from a backup. Also my calendar item in question was one I put into my phones calendar and does not come from my sync'd email account calendar or anything.
I am on official 8.1 and just noticed today that my browser will not rotate into landscape mode. Actually it will rotate the first time it's used after restarting the phone but any time I use it after that it is stuck in portrait mode. This seems to be new as of today but not sure.

I currently have an old email notification stuck on my lock screen, and also on the live tile. I have deleted the email, refreshed the account, restarted the phone.
Both lock screen and live tile now no longer show new mail.
Will these phones be getting regular updates?
Something wierd has happened and my card got stuck, I put it in and it just won't open anymore!Can't do anything.

View 5 Replies View Relatedtrying to get the damn thing to charge, plug, unplug, check its still charging, its stopped,repeat process, never fully charges. Got a new charger for it, had ONE full charge then had the same problems. Hard reset the other day and is now worse than ever. Last night it was charging for ages, came back to find it at 0% even though it was still merrily flashing to say it was charging, clearly it is not. Left over night to find it had died altogether, cue the usual hours and hours of trying everything to get it to come back on,heating, soft reset, hard reset, unplugging, trying various places to plug in, all usb ports etc blah to then get stuck in the infinite reboot cycle.A zillion hard resets later it finally comes on, leave it to charge a little before going through the set up, there was a small amount of charge, come back to do set up and its gone back down to 0% of its own accord.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIn this thread, 4G referrs to HSPA+, LTE referrs to LTE.Below I'm going to go into detail about the LTE issue with the Lumia 900 on AT&T. This issue is separate from the no data connectivity issue that has already been addressed with an update.The problem: The phone will not reconnect to LTE after you leave the LTE coverage area and come back into the LTE coverage area. Data works fine, but the phone only connects to 4G (HSPA+). You are now stuck with slower 4G untill you reboot the phone or use the airplane mode trick (explained later).For example: I live in a 4G coverage area and work in an LTE coverage area. I go to work and the phone connects to LTE. I go home and the phone drops to 4G like it should since there is no LTE there. When I go back to work the next day, the phone will not connect to LTE. It stays on 4G. I have attached two pictures demonstrating the issue. Picture 1 shows the phone with a 4G data connection even though I have 5 signal bars and I'm in an LTE coverage area. Picture 2 shows the same phone after I reboot the device. I'm in the exact same location, but I now have LTE after reboot.
When does the problem seem to occur? The problem occurs if you leave the LTE coverage area and come back after a few hours. It seems to happen most often after only 2 to 8 hours in the 4G area.I have been working with AT&T engineering for about a month and they have done multiple traces and can't find anything wrong with the network. They see the phone connected to the 4G antenna instead of the LTE antenna on the tower. My moms Lumia 900 has the same problem. My wife has the HTC Titan II Windows Phone with LTE and it works perfectly.Based on my own observations, the issue has nothing to do with the amount of data you use either. During the time you leave the LTE area, the battery may also appear to drain faster than normal. I believe the problem is the phone keeps looking for that LTE signal but can't find it. It then gives up and goes into 4G mode to save the battery but never again tries to reconnect to LTE.
How to force create the problem: I did this 8 miles from the official LTE coverage area. 1) At a high elevation facing the LTE coverage area, I turned on airplane mode while I was NOT in the LTE coverage area. 2) Next I turned off airplane mode. 3) The phone connected to LTE with one signal bar while not in the LTE coverage area. 4) Moments later it dropped to 4G. 5) Then I drove 10 minutes to the LTE coverage area and it did not connect to LTE. It appears the phone saw the very weak signal and locked itself in 4G mode.Temporary fix: To restore the LTE connection, you can reboot the device, or turn airplane mode on and then turn airplane mode off a few seconds later. This of course turns off all radios and turns them back on.
When I connect my Lumia 610 with charger, Its touch screen gets stuck. It does not allow me to unlock the phone by sliding the wallpaper upside. When I disconnect charger then it works like anything. I had also noted that some times, the wallpaper keeps jumping and suddenly slides upside and random applications gets started. But again when I remove the charger then it works normally. Is there any issue regarding the USB connector?

I cannot hear any music or audio.. If I plug my headset back up I hear everything fine through the headset. I need to be able to use the phone without the headset!

Then all of a sudden everything went black and phone restarted itself and since then it is stuck on the white screen with nokia logo.I have taken out battery umpteen times and everytime it is stuck. View 5 Replies View RelatedAs the title says. The date on the start screen is stuck and doesn't change. Now it's tuesday, but it still says it's monday on the phone. The clock is ok. Also the calendar is ok (events and everything).This happened 3 times in the last month or so. I have a few programs running. The one I'm suspecting the most now is X-Plore (trial version). It's the only extra program that I'm running from a few days before when this bug didn't happen. But I'm not sure, since this is an old bug that happened quite some time before and I don't remember if X-Plore was running then. Also, when I'm entering some numbers on the start screen there is the correct date, but when I clear those numbers it shows the wrong date again. I don't know exactly what fixes it, a restart for sure, but also some other actions I think.

And also when I press the Menu button the Lock screen comes, but when I press the Unlock tab it goes back to NOKIA logo But doesnt do anything else... I really don't want to loose any data... If I wait until it runs out of battery (as the battery was also low, probablly 20-30% left) and then I plug the charger will it start working? View 9 Replies View RelatedYesterday was my first day trying to use my new E7 as my primary phone. I am having a major problem where the phone is stuck at the white nokia log boot screen and it keeps restarting.
In the days before, I updated from the original 13.x firmware to 14.002 though the ovi suite. After about an hour of usage yesterday, I opened the on phone ovi store application and it said an update was required before I could use it, so I let it update OTA. After the update, I opened the application and tried to get Angry Birds Free. The download started, then I pressed an in app button to do something else in the mean time and the phone froze up during the screen transition. Restarted with 8 second power cycle. Back into the ovi store to continue the download, this time the phone restarted on its own halfway through the download. Back into the ovi store a 3rd time to continue the download, phone froze up. Restarted with 8 second power cycle. Wouldn't get past the boot screen.
Yesterday I was able to get the phone to connect to my computer and I attempted to reinstall 14.002 firmware 2x, which seemed to work but I was still stuck. I was able to call Nokia Customer Care and the support person tried some of the same things I did. Then without a sim card in the device we connected to my computer, tried to reinstall firmware, it complained about no sim card. I put an old non-working sim in the device and the home screen came up all of a sudden. So it appeared to be fixed.
I'm back to the same issue today, only now my computer won't connect to the phone. I've tried 10 times. Once it connected but only as a storage drive, not to Ovi Suite.
When moving away the lock screen.. my apps and everything on the screen looks very out of color and blurry. But it will go back to normal in maybe 2 too 10 seconds.It's been happening frequently and was wondering if it has happened to anybody else and if there's a way to fix it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am unable to end calls on my Lumia 800. As soon as I hit send on a phone call, whether the phone is close to my face or not, the phone goes black, and stays black until the other end hangs up.
I went into the Diagnostics to check the Proximity Sensor and it is stuck in "Detected" mode. My phone has no screen cover and is only about a month old. There's nothing obstructing the top right side corner over the sensor. This behavior didn't begin after any update, and I have no background tasks running (though I don't believe the sensor is available via the APIs anyways).
Since there's a ton of people on xda-developers with the same issue, is there any fix to this or is my phone faulty? Is Nokia aware of this and has there been any effort to contact providers or Lumia 800 customers to let them know this is a major, wide reaching problem with this phone?

I recently bought a new Nokia lumia 710 & it's having a problem with it's screen. It's sreen flicker somtime when I switch off the screen with the Hardware button on top. The screen light keeps blinking but nothing is shown on the screen. Is that a hardware problem or a software issue?? Can restoring the phone to factory setting help??What troubleshooting steps can I take to resolve the issue before taking it to the Service Centre?

I tried plugging the phone into the wall in case the battery was dead. I tried calling the phone. The only thing that worked was pulling the battery and holding the volume down/power button to reboot the phone.
