View 6 RepliesI bought a 16gb MicroSD card for my 5230 Nuron. How do I transfer everything from the original 4gb card to the new card? I've downloaded some apps and themes and I want to make sure they get transferred to the new card. I tried doing a full backup and restore using Ovi Suite and some of the downloaded apps made it and some didn't. I tried to re-download some of them from Ovi Store but Ovi Store seemed to think they were still there and wouldn't let me download them again. Is it as simple as copying the contents of the old card to the new card?
View 10 Replies View Relatedfor something reason, my phone started to be DAMN slow and laggy, when i try to go menu, it takes about 10 seconds to get to menu, and all is laggy in this phone. When going to file manager, seems it doesnt find memory card, even it is inserted. Then when removing memory card, phone works normally and not slow, fast. What is wrong with my 5230, why it doesnt find my memory card and why inserting it makes so slow? I would like to get it work because it has all my music and pictures etc...
View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought a Nokia Nuron 5230 from costco couple of days back. I am wondering which card should I use in the memory slot. MicroSD or MicroSDHC?A 8GB or 16GB MicroSD card is pretty expensive compared to similar capacity MicroSDHC card. Will Nuron accept MicroSDHC card?
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy new memory card arrives in a day or two and until it does I have not been downloading much on my phone but I have been using things like Ovi Maps and being online in general.I noticed that looking at the memory usage there are 42MB of Other files. Now I noticed that each time in OVI maps I goto a completely new place it downloads about 7MB of data, and as far as I remember I have had 3 or 4 of these but that still leave about 20MB
When I insert my memory card can I move stuff to the card and 'clean up' the phone?Or would I have to do something like a 'restore of the factory setting' that deletes everythig and then start again.
I have recently purchased a Nokia 5230 and memory card, great no probs, just wanted a photo printing off, the photo shop man couldn't get my memory card out of the mobile and obviously didn't want to force it. (bluetooth from my phone for whatever reason wouldn't work in his shop).
I came home and tried to remove it and had the same problem, the card will come out so far and then it is stuck I tried with tweezers but it still wouldn't budge after a bit of force. Help!! Any solution apart from taking it back to the shop I bought it from? Should the phone be off or on while I am trying to remove the card?
Do I need to install a memory card to use OVI MAPS on Nokia 5230? I installed MAPS, and when starting the application on the phone, it does start and shows the GPS info, but on a blank screen, no maps.Anyone?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm having 3 issues with my recently bought cell-phone(Nokia 5230).
First of all, I've bought a 16GB memory card, but I don't know how to remove the 2GB one it currently has inserted. I press down the memory card but it won't (Fully) come out! Can someone explain me how to remove it, please?
Another issue is with some Bluetooth connections.
I tried to transfer some songs from my girlfriend's cell-phone, I've connected the 2 devices by creating an authorized(Automatically transfers data between the 2 cell-phones) paired connection. But I can't transfer data from her cell-phone to mine. They connect but the data isn't transferred! Side note: I've been able to transfer data before with the same devices, it would only transfer whenever it wanted, though. If it failed, I had to change the permissions and just try again. It could fail countless times(Once it failed like... 15 times in a row).
Now, it just won't transfer. They connect and the "Receiving data via Bluetooth" screen appears, but nothing happens until the connection times out. I've done nothing wrong and everything is fine, I guess. Does it only happen to me?
My last (main) problem:Battery.
My battery has a very short duration time. At the first time I turned it on, I've used it until the battery ran out, like I was told so. Then, I've plugged it to the switch and turned it on. I've used it through that time though, only to send and receive text messages. I exchange about 400 text messages per day. I've done everything I could to save battery. I've turned off the delivery reports, I always have it in silent mode, the screen bright is lower than the default value, etc. Still, it only lasts me like 20 hours before it ran's out. The first bar takes "a lot" of time to disappear, but the last 6 ones disappear quite fast.
I've tried to let him charge for 10-12 hours 2 times after that, but I didn't notice any change. If I'm on a long duration call, the battery runs out after... 3.45-4.30 hours. But that's definitely not the problem.I don't know if this affects, but it is always connected to my operator through 3G.
I have a US TMO 5230, got a "Generic" 32gb MicroSDHC for it. Looks like an Adata or Kingston except for the lack of logo. When I installed it out of the package the phone said the card was corrupted, so I reformatted on PC.Took it out of PC, put it in the phone, phone said the card was unformatted, and gave me the option of formatting it.Ran the phone's formatting option , and the card is not recognized on the phone or the PC.when installed in the phone and I go to "memory" in the filemanager, the cardslot shows as empty, no card in place. when I put the card into the slot on my notebook, it doesn't even recognize the mSDcard.does this mean the card is defective.

My problem is that I can't seem to install anything for want of space. My pictures are on the card, my music is on the card. Even so my card has about 1.65GB of free space yet I can figure out how to move applications to the card. I installed the Suite today for Windows and one of the things it does it bug me to update programs like Maps... sounds good in theory but my phone filled up half way thru the installation process. how I can offload everything to the memory card?

It seems most if not all of the pictures I take with my phone and then send using MMS or e-mail are received by recipients upside down. But when I send them they appear right side up. Is it the direction I'm holding the phone when I take the pictures? Do the control buttons on the phone have to be in one particular direction?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently flashed back to n0t3 rom, and now my s6 is totally crazy. When I want to open WhatsApp on the left side on the App Bar, the phone open Facebook on the right side.
That means, if I press an App which is on the left side, a App opens that is on the right side. I have done already an wipe, but problem is still there...
I've had my phone since May with no issues. As of a few days ago, my camera app launches upside down. All the icons are upside down and if I take a photo it comes out upside down. If I turn the phone upside down, the app will flip right side up. I can then flip it back and its fine.
Also, if I'm reading something in chrome and it flips to horizontal mode it won't flip back to vertical. The same trick of flipping upside down works or I have to close and reopen the app.
I have restarted and checked the auto rotate setting. I have not tried factory reset yet but may try that. I have a Verizon phone so I can't get to the gyro calibration screen. Any other way to force a calibration?
I just moved from a nexus 5 the S5 and when I plug it in to my PC all the photos are upside down or sideways depending on which way I was holding the phone when I took them. Same with the videos.
Is this normal on a the S5, do i have to get used to this?
The nexus 5 doesn't have this issue, nor did the Samsung Galaxy Nexus before it!
Put the image in photoshop and save it as a new image with a new name and it will be upright.

I have a motorola i1 and use it for work. There are times when I need to take a picture and send it out through email, however upon opening the camera today I find that the view finder and the pictures it takes are upside down. All menus and overlays are in their correct position and right side up. I can't find any settings that would reverse this effect, and what's more is I don't really see that much about it on the web. This is a new problem that I've only just encounted, the phone was not always like this. I really don't want to go back to the sprint store again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy xperia z2 phone does not rotate the screen when held in upside down position. In other words, it does not rotate the screen 180 degrees from a normal up position. 90 degrees either side rotation is okay. This happens in the safe mode as well. Is that a bug or a feature? Is there a remedy?
