So I'm on day three with my 950XL and there are two glaring issues that I'm struggling with. One is the camera app shows the menu and pictures taken completely upside down, I've tried soft and hard resets also the Windows device tool with no change.
View 7 RepliesI recently got a brand new phone after my screen broke and I filed a warranty claim through Asurion. With my new phone when i take pictures, sometimes they show up upside down. Not always but more often than not. My original phone never did this. Its pretty annoying to have to go back to the photo afterwards almost every time and edit and rotate it. I know the RAZR has the feature to show pics right side up no matter how you take the pic holding the phone but I guess somewhere in mine the calibration for this feature is off. Has anyone else experienced this or have any idea how to re-calibrate it? Note: It doesn't matter how I hold the phone when it happens. No matter which way it is on the screen at the time, it flips it upside down after the pic shows up.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI just moved from a nexus 5 the S5 and when I plug it in to my PC all the photos are upside down or sideways depending on which way I was holding the phone when I took them. Same with the videos.
Is this normal on a the S5, do i have to get used to this?
The nexus 5 doesn't have this issue, nor did the Samsung Galaxy Nexus before it!
Put the image in photoshop and save it as a new image with a new name and it will be upright.

I am able to pin photos but whenever it is opened, i see all the collection.
i don't want anyone who tries to access photos, it shows up the entire collection which I don't want them to see.
Odd; I noticed after upgrading to Denim official, the MS Camera is no longer on the app menu; I had it as a tile on my SS, so after restoring a backup, I still had it. But if you didn't, it seems the only way one could get to it would be to set it as the default camera app, then push the camera hardware button. Reminds me of how Nokia would yank the native maps from the menu, and people created tiles in the store that acted as shortcuts. With this update, native maps is in the menu, but now native camera is not.

Next is when you take picture. When u go to photo albums. You see a link below saying open in Nokia camera. How come pics have that link and others don't? I took some smartcam pics too look at later and can't open it up and do the action shots and other stuff.
Always the pictures download upside down whenever it's emailed. In my camera roll they are straight or right side up and also it's right side up in another iOS device but when I download it from my pc it's always sideways or upside down.

I've had my phone since May with no issues. As of a few days ago, my camera app launches upside down. All the icons are upside down and if I take a photo it comes out upside down. If I turn the phone upside down, the app will flip right side up. I can then flip it back and its fine.
Also, if I'm reading something in chrome and it flips to horizontal mode it won't flip back to vertical. The same trick of flipping upside down works or I have to close and reopen the app.
I have restarted and checked the auto rotate setting. I have not tried factory reset yet but may try that. I have a Verizon phone so I can't get to the gyro calibration screen. Any other way to force a calibration?
I have a motorola i1 and use it for work. There are times when I need to take a picture and send it out through email, however upon opening the camera today I find that the view finder and the pictures it takes are upside down. All menus and overlays are in their correct position and right side up. I can't find any settings that would reverse this effect, and what's more is I don't really see that much about it on the web. This is a new problem that I've only just encounted, the phone was not always like this. I really don't want to go back to the sprint store again.

After powering up the rear camera is no longer working. The front camera does however it saves the pictures upside down. In snapchat the pic saves correct but in the camera app it saves them upside down. Why is this? Could this be a screen issue?
It may be possible the rear camera was damaged but unlikely. this phone was very easy to work on. Is there anything I can do?
Since I upgrade my iPhone 5s to iOS 8.1.x, I started noticing some issues. While playing any game, screen will tilt unexpectedly. Similarly, during chatting or checking some Apps, screen turns upside down. Even the camera takes pictures upside down.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I've been having this issue for a while now, and can't seem to figure out what's causing it. I mainly noticed it after downloading the 8.1 update, but I frequently have issues with the camera freezing when taking pictures. What happens is I will let the autofocus do it's thing, and then when I press the shutter, the autofocus thing stays on the screen, and nothing happens. I've figured out that if I just give it time, it will eventually snap the photo, but no photo is ever saved in the camera roll. I thought it was a thing with my SD card, but it happens when I open the camera fresh too, and not only in taking pictures one after another.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo today I went to take some pictures on my 1520 and they all came out blurry. Verifying my phone I discovered that the camera is at fault shaking drastically. I can see from the rear of the phone that when I activate the camera in any app that uses it, it start jumping all around as if the electronic stabilization has gone bad. I did a restart with no luck. I do have a 2 year warrantee with the ms store so it wont be a problem to exchange. But I just don't want to have to redownload everything again.

I get this orange glow in all the pictures, with no flash it looks better and whites look more white without the orange tint. A wall that should be pitch white looks more dull and orange for example with flash, same goes for skin color. It feels like the flash is shooting amber out or something.

No matter what I do, the pictures are blurry. The farther away from the object I am, the blurrier they get. I know how to use my camera well, I have reset the settings on the camera app, done a soft reset on the phone, cleaned the lens, everything, but the pictures are still blurry.

Don't get me wrong, the Icon does take the best videos I've seen on a phone and the sound is perfect. But my pictures always seem to end up blurry rather even when I am holding still. Here's the issue, every time I attempt to take a picture using the camera button in the right side of the phone using the Nokia Camera app, my Lumia 1520 will start taking pictures non-stop other unless I exit the app to stop it. Now if I take the picture using the Nokia Camera app on-screen button the phone will only take a single picture. I remember that this problem was not present when I got my Lumia 1520 in January of this year. My thinking is that this problem has to do with a software update to the Nokia Camera app.
So I installed the Lumia camera app. Pictures work but video does not. I uninstalled and went back to Lumia camerra classic. Video now no longer works in the classic app. But, video does work with the ms camera app.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI use my Nokia phone camera a lot like taking pictures of furnitures, tools, appliances, and other items that I want to know the dimensions (measurements in inches or metric) of to study the pictured items at home. Sometime I carry with me a tape measure and I lay it along the lenght and/r height of the item just to get a rough measurement of the item's dimension.Is it possible for Nokia to develop a camera with a built-in measuring tape that shows up in the pictures taken? The measuring tape should be able to adjust to the distance between the camera and the object so that the actual dimension of the object is measured accurately. If I take a picture of crawling snake from 20 feet away the picture taken should be able to show the actual lenght of the snake.

I got a blackberry torch 2 months ago at first it took pictures fine and it saved to the media folder. I do not have a memory card in the phone and there is no pictures on and only 9 songs so it cannot be the memory that is causing this problem.When I take a picture it shows at the bottom of the screen but it does not save to the phone as well as when I bluetooth music it downloads and shows download complete but when I check the music folder it does'nt appear.I have tried inserting a memory card but the items on the memory card does not appear on the phone.
View 9 Replies View RelatedWoke up this morning to find that my phone wont open the menu and that the keypad is stuff. Ive tryed hard resetting it but did nothing. I cant think of anything that would have caused this to do this and it was working fine last night before going to bed. Any ideas? I really dont wanna have to send it backunless i have to as this is my second one and i dont have a spare phone.
