View 3 RepliesWhen taking pictures in darker scenes that the flash ruins the picture by making it look more red than it should be ? I get this orange glow in all the pictures, with no flash it looks better and whites look more white without the orange tint. A wall that should be pitch white looks more dull and orange for example with flash, same goes for skin color. It feels like the flash is shooting amber out or something.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am a frequent concert goer (usually 5+ a month) and since I got my Icon a few months ago I find myself having to screenshot my videos rather than use the pictures I took during the show. Don't get me wrong, the Icon does take the best videos I've seen on a phone and the sound is perfect. But my pictures always seem to end up blurry rather even when I am holding still. I use the Nokia Procam app and tried the stock app but even changing the settings and modes doesn't work....
View 6 Replies View RelatedI used to have an iphone and when I tapped on a picture in a text message thread, it would open that image as part of a slideshow of however many other pictures were on that thread. With my HTC one m8, when I tap on a picture in a thread, it opens that single image. Is there any way to easily access all pictures on a long messaging thread all at once?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have two issues. I took a picture using Nokia camera app which is on default. Some pics didn't save.
Next is when you take picture. When u go to photo albums. You see a link below saying open in Nokia camera. How come pics have that link and others don't? I took some smartcam pics too look at later and can't open it up and do the action shots and other stuff.
Just got my phone and right off the bat I took some pictures and there is some distortion warping going on the top part of some of my pictures. It is more evident in pictures where peoples heads are near the top. Essentially their heads look bulbous like aliens. This has happened at different distances from a couple feet to about 10 feet, with no movement from the subject. With and without flash. All settings are on auto. I've used both the windows phone camera app and Nokia camera app. I wanted to know if perhaps I'm doing something wrong or if the phone is defective.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just got my Icon yesterday and it is my first WP so it is taking some getting used to, coming from Android.
My main question at this point is the ability to automatically sync pictures to my desktop. My last phone was a Motorola Razr Maxx which automatically downloaded all photos I took to my desktop as soon as it connected to my wifi. Is there an option similar with the WP8? I have Google Drive and just set up One Drive but I would rather have it hit my wifi to copy files down locally. I know I can do it manually but I like not having to worry about it.
On my Icon with the 'people' live tile there are a bunch of red symbol pictures in there. I've checked my email+account there are no issues (all seem to be connected) so I'm not sure what's causing this issue. I've done a power cycle and that hasn't resolved the issue.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I'm on day three with my 950XL and there are two glaring issues that I'm struggling with. One is the camera app shows the menu and pictures taken completely upside down, I've tried soft and hard resets also the Windows device tool with no change.
View 7 Replies View RelatedAfter Today's update I hade to hard reset due to Microsoft account issues. After phone rebooted most of the stock Nokia apps like camera were not installed, also I'm missing the ME tile. I've done reset twice and same thing happens.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I've been having this issue for a while now, and can't seem to figure out what's causing it. I mainly noticed it after downloading the 8.1 update, but I frequently have issues with the camera freezing when taking pictures. What happens is I will let the autofocus do it's thing, and then when I press the shutter, the autofocus thing stays on the screen, and nothing happens. I've figured out that if I just give it time, it will eventually snap the photo, but no photo is ever saved in the camera roll. I thought it was a thing with my SD card, but it happens when I open the camera fresh too, and not only in taking pictures one after another.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo today I went to take some pictures on my 1520 and they all came out blurry. Verifying my phone I discovered that the camera is at fault shaking drastically. I can see from the rear of the phone that when I activate the camera in any app that uses it, it start jumping all around as if the electronic stabilization has gone bad. I did a restart with no luck. I do have a 2 year warrantee with the ms store so it wont be a problem to exchange. But I just don't want to have to redownload everything again.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had my Nokia Lumia 1020 for about a year, I believe. Just recently (within the last week), it has started taking blurry pictures. No matter what I do, the pictures are blurry. The farther away from the object I am, the blurrier they get. I know how to use my camera well, I have reset the settings on the camera app, done a soft reset on the phone, cleaned the lens, everything, but the pictures are still blurry.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an older Dell computer with Windows XP. Professional SP3. When I plug my Lumia Icon into the computer it recognizes it as a camera. I would like to plug the phone into the computer to put music on the phone, how can I get the computer to see it as a phone, or storage device rather than a camera? I have an older Android phone that I can plug in and have it recognize as a phone/storage device.
View 7 Replies View RelatedLumia 1520 with the latest version of the Nokia Camera app.
Here's the issue, every time I attempt to take a picture using the camera button in the right side of the phone using the Nokia Camera app, my Lumia 1520 will start taking pictures non-stop other unless I exit the app to stop it. Now if I take the picture using the Nokia Camera app on-screen button the phone will only take a single picture. I remember that this problem was not present when I got my Lumia 1520 in January of this year. My thinking is that this problem has to do with a software update to the Nokia Camera app.
So I installed the Lumia camera app. Pictures work but video does not. I uninstalled and went back to Lumia camerra classic. Video now no longer works in the classic app. But, video does work with the ms camera app.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I got my Icon over the weekend and I've been playing around with it and I have a few questions about the camera settings. I was taking some pictures, and noticed that sometimes they were a bit blurry/not focused. I cannot tell if its me or the camera. Also, when I zoom in on the pictures, I feel that it looks more grainy than they should.
Also, side note - has power, volume and camera button feel slightly wiggly/loose? I noticed the side buttons on my Icon are not as firm as they were on my 928.
I purchased a used icon yesterday and downloaded Lumia camera. The app said I needed denim and maybe 20 min later I got a notification saying welcome to denim (no loading screen or spinning gears etc). I try Lumia camera again and it says I still need denim. Extras and info says I have denim and resets haven't solved the problem (simple power down and the volume power button combo).
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a Lumia Icon recently and on going through and testing out various functions, I noticed that the video recording has an odd noise whenever the camera autofocuses.
The device is up to date on everything, Windows 8.1 and Lumia Denim with the latest camera app.
Here is a sample of it (close range, but it does the same noise when focusing on anything )
Right near the end I switched it to manual focus (the "jump" in focus you see and possibly the sound when that happens), but then switched it back to auto which is the noise starting again.
This happens in both surround sound mode and not.
I'm just wondering if this is normal or not. All the sample videos I have looked for either have someone talking or music playing over the video audio itself, or else what is being recorded is noisy enough to possibly hide the autofocus noise if it exists.
Another issue that I'm seeing is that the camera roll (in the lumia camera app) will frequently cause the phone to crash/reset. I've had it happen at least 5 times so far.I suspect it has to do with the living images.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOdd; I noticed after upgrading to Denim official, the MS Camera is no longer on the app menu; I had it as a tile on my SS, so after restoring a backup, I still had it. But if you didn't, it seems the only way one could get to it would be to set it as the default camera app, then push the camera hardware button. Reminds me of how Nokia would yank the native maps from the menu, and people created tiles in the store that acted as shortcuts. With this update, native maps is in the menu, but now native camera is not.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having two problems with Nokia Camera on my Icon. When recording a video in Nokia Camera. I have found that it isn't recording sound. When recording a video in Nokia Camera, it takes about 5 seconds after hitting the record button for it to actually start recording.
I am not sure how to replicate the issue because it has only happened a few times and it will fix itself by restarting the phone.
When it does happen it will happen every time I record a video through Nokia Camera until a reboot. I at least now figured out that if I hit record and there is a delay between it actually starting to record, then the sound will not be recorded so a restart is necessary.
I can still record through the WP camera app and audio will be recorded, but this is a huge problem for me. I have about 5 videos that I have taken in the past week that were actually pretty important that have no sound now.
I uninstalled Nokia Camera and reinstalled and it still did it. Is this a Nokia Camera bug or an Icon bug?
So whenever I take pictures using the Nokia Camera app WITH the hard camera button on the side of the phone, it takes continues/multiple photos.
View 13 Replies View RelatedWhen I upgraded to DP 8.1, I developed a couple of problems that I had hoped Denim would resolve. For example, my camera button stopped working. Also, I lost the function to hold my finger on the screen to move the cursor around in text. So I can't edit messages very easily. I was hoping these were issues with the DP version and Denim would resolve the problems. But I loaded the upgrade this morning, and none of these issues are resolved. I still can't use the camera button. And I still get hold my finger on the screen to get a cursor.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use my Nokia phone camera a lot like taking pictures of furnitures, tools, appliances, and other items that I want to know the dimensions (measurements in inches or metric) of to study the pictured items at home. Sometime I carry with me a tape measure and I lay it along the lenght and/r height of the item just to get a rough measurement of the item's dimension. Is it possible for Nokia to develop a camera with a built-in measuring tape that shows up in the pictures taken? The measuring tape should be able to adjust to the distance between the camera and the object so that the actual dimension of the object is measured accurately. If I take a picture of crawling snake from 20 feet away the picture taken should be able to show the actual lenght of the snake.

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently the pictures taken using the iPhone's camera are not showing up on the camera roll. The iPhone 4 still has memory available, so I do not believe the issue to be related to too many pictures.
