Is there anyway to see this on my Lumia 920?
The "Cell Info Display" on my N8 used to show the current call rate on my network.
So really not cool to call "in the dark".
Searched the Marketplace but didn't see anything that might me. Would ideally be nice to see this on the "phone" tile.

The problem is that it does not display Cell Info display correctly. Only few times it shows, But only for sometime. Is this bug fixed in the latest version 5.44 ???? and it also has the signal problem .. If i put it in my pocket , the whole signal goes away in both sims....
Cell Info Display when activated on E72 briefly shows in upper right corner & then is displaced by Date. Is there any way that Cell Info is Displayed continuously like other mobiles?

In my new Nokia 5530, I do not see any where to set the Cell Info. Is it that I am looking at a different place or is there any other utility that gives the Cell Info? I have not enabled GPRS because I don't require it. I only want the Cell info.

If I go into the main menu, the indicator changes into an envelope with a @ sign on it. I checked the User's Guide, but there is no image/picture that resembles it. View 2 Replies View RelatedOn my new Lumia 920, Nokia maps is not showing traffic info for me. I have already updated to 3.0, but when I set the map view to traffic info, nothing happens.
WIth the builtin Bing maps however (which is not directly accessible, but for example when clicking on a contact's address), traffic info works just fine. I'm in Germany, so it's not about the coverage.
Recently, there was an update to "Extras + info" under settings. While downloading and installing, my 920 reset. Now when I try and open "Extras + info", I get a "Resuming" message for a split second, then i'm thrown back to the "System" page. Is there any way to un-install, then re-install?

Lollipop 5.1 does not allow for screen widgets and there is no option in the security settings to display owner information on the lock screen.
View 4 Replies View RelatedOther Android phones are able to display track info "Artist, Song" on my car's stereo. The S6 connects but doesn't display any track info, even when using the same apps and mp3s as before. It will accept music controls (skip track, volume).
How to go about troubleshooting this? Or is there a secret setting to make sure track data is displayed? I don't know where to start. AFAIK 4.3 added AVRCP support, so in theory 5.0 should have it too.
So far I've cleared all and re-added only the S6 to the car stereo. Skimmed the bluetooth log in /Android/data Checked the files in /etc/bluetooth
I've noticed every once in a while my screen will display unsaturated, and each tile would look like it has a vignette around it. It almost looks HDRish. I've tried to get a screen grab showing this but then when I went to look at my screen grabs to show someone, and the screen grabs appeared normal, so definitely a display issue.

When ever I get a text message it just shows the phone number not the name, however when I connect to my home wi-fi, the name populate the text messages but when I dissconnect from the WI-FI the names go away and the phone numbers appear...I must have done something stupid when I was setting up my contacts and or WI-FI
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy Lumia 900's display suddenly went off. No, it didnt fall down or nothing of that sory happened. Everything else seems to be working, the phone is beeping on email alerts. I can connect to the computer and zune also shows it as connected. All the three buttons are lit as well. I tried restarting, hard reset everything - no improvement.Also tried restoring to previous version of software via Zune.

The display is so sensitive that it registers even the smallest touches.There should be an option to change the sensitiveness. For example the click event could be generated after the button is pressed 100 ms. This should prevent unwanted clicks.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using Nokia Drive and Maps on Lumia 710. Say I want to go to a school in a particular area. I need to search for the name of that school and only then set my location. If I try to zoom in to that area on the map, I do not see the school or other places of interest/businesses in that area. This is irritating as in google maps, if I zoom into a location, I get all the businesses/areas on interest in that area. Am I missing something?. If not, then nokia maps needs to have this feature as it is very useful.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using the lumia 800 for past 25 days. First I had battery problem, and Nokia Care replaced with new phone.
1. Display goes off when call/SMS/email receives. It happens more often with calls. However the call will not get disconnected and can speak till the caller disconnects.
2. After restarting of the phone there is no hint of call/SMS received when the phone was in display blank
3. I cannot pair with my windows 7 laptop via Bluetooth
4. I cannot receive any business card and not hint of reception of the same
After months of no problems my Lumia 1020 is suddenly misbehaving: the cell signal strength is fluctuating all over the place, from no service to 5 bars, sometimes it even switches to Edge. It will stay at a given strength for a while (tens of seconds) and then change.
Some symptoms:
- I'm using it on Straight Talk (AT&T towers), but I see the same thing with a T-Mobile sim.
- The same two sim cards work fine in my old iPhone 4
- It keeps happening as I bike around town, so it's not just an area with weak signal
- A soft reset doesn't fix it.
- I'm running WP8.1 Dev Preview, latest update (I think that's update 3?)
- Everything else works (wifi, bluetooth)
how to edit which information from the contacts that will be displayed when trying to call a contact? I cannot get anything else than Firstname, Company showed - which is not how I want this.
Furthermore I have found no way to lookup addresses in the Nokia Car navigator from contacts.
Maybe somebody knows if it's possible to set any Lumia phone to show name of person and company name when receiving incoming call.This is important if contacts are synchronized with MS Outlook and there are tens of Johns but working in different companies. If there is a field with a company name in it, suppose this would be a must to have an option to choose how to display contact when incoming call, i.e. just name or name with a company name.
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust went to a local Rogers store here in Canada to buy a new Nokia Lumia 900 with my friend.I noticed the grey software keyboard of the 900 seems "pinker" than my 800 keyboard, that and some other things.I also noticed the hardware buttons backlight on the 900 seems to be more "yellow" and they are pure white on my 800. Yellow backlights doesnt look as good as the pure white backlight hardware buttons on my 800 in my opinion.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've added an additional Hotmail account and enabled syncing with Contacts, but for some reason, each of those contacts that belong to that account do not show a contact photo, it's just a blank square. Other information such as name and numbers etc are present.With the (primary) Microsoft Account i've used when setting up the phone, those very same contacts are displayed as they should be.

View 12 Replies View RelatedSince the OS update for the 920, the "display+touch" feature does not work properly. When I tap on it, the message "display+touch can't be opened. An app update may be available" is presented. I have attempted to update the app via QR but am presented with the message "share." I have done few soft resets but the problem persists. I have asked for help in other forums, but the issue remains. Is it possible that a future "display+touch" update may solve the problem? In lieu of that, can someone offer another suggestion? I would hate to do a hard reset and end up with a "bricked" phone.
