I have a Nokia E71, and there is a display indicator at the top right corner that looks like a mailbox. If I go into the main menu, the indicator changes into an envelope with a @ sign on it. I checked the User's Guide, but there is no image/picture that resembles it. What does it mean, and how can I remove it?

The problem is that it does not display Cell Info display correctly. Only few times it shows, But only for sometime. Is this bug fixed in the latest version 5.44 ???? and it also has the signal problem .. If i put it in my pocket , the whole signal goes away in both sims....
Cell Info Display when activated on E72 briefly shows in upper right corner & then is displaced by Date. Is there any way that Cell Info is Displayed continuously like other mobiles?

So really not cool to call "in the dark".
Searched the Marketplace but didn't see anything that might me. Would ideally be nice to see this on the "phone" tile.
After updating to the latest version of Ovi maps on my N97 mini the GPS indicator was replaced by the data transfer indicator.

View 4 Replies View RelatedOther Android phones are able to display track info "Artist, Song" on my car's stereo. The S6 connects but doesn't display any track info, even when using the same apps and mp3s as before. It will accept music controls (skip track, volume).
How to go about troubleshooting this? Or is there a secret setting to make sure track data is displayed? I don't know where to start. AFAIK 4.3 added AVRCP support, so in theory 5.0 should have it too.
So far I've cleared all and re-added only the S6 to the car stereo. Skimmed the bluetooth log in /Android/data Checked the files in /etc/bluetooth

When ever I get a text message it just shows the phone number not the name, however when I connect to my home wi-fi, the name populate the text messages but when I dissconnect from the WI-FI the names go away and the phone numbers appear...I must have done something stupid when I was setting up my contacts and or WI-FI

It pass from max level directly to 1line and shortly the phone switch off.I tried 3 kind of firmwares (including last one 410.21.010), charging phone in different ways, different chargers, hard reset etc. and nothing.The phone is new (2 weeks of use) but no warranty.Any solution?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've just got a Nokia E72 and have managed to self teach how to operate all the functions I can see needing, ( no thanks to the paper manual the phone came with). Unfortunately from day 1 there has been a black + white envelope icon flashing at the very bottom of the screen. It can't be reached by the navigator and I have no unread messages nor are the message boxes full.
I have read the manual cover to cover and pressed every help button in the phone to no avail. how to stop this flashing icon as it is starting to drive me crazy. Other than that it seems like a really good phone.

1-Battery indicator shows five bars all day, until I turn the phone off and on again and then goes down to three. I did that just now and after a few minutes it went back up to four bars. Is this a common problem?

It would stay on full until the last few minutes when it would crash to about 10% or so and I would get the battery low warnings. Then the phone would shut down a few minutes later.My battery life is about 15 hrs with normal usage.I've installed batterygraph, which shows that battery seems to be behaving properly, i.e a couple of hours of use and its dropped to about 4V from 4.2V, but the strange thing is that it is still showing 100%.Has the update somehow reset what the fully charged voltage should be ?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have my corporate email set up on E72. The set up was using IMAP option. When I press the right most email key , I see all the emails in the inbox. Could you please explain is this is indeed my mailbox or is it just a link to mailbox ? The reason being everytime I click this key, I get a message stating that the last connect was at so & so time and do I want to connect again. When I connect , it shows connecting to my mailbox and disconnects immediately. I do not see any change to the list of emails shown. Sometimes I do see emails in this screen even though I have deleted those from the mailbox.

I have been struggling with syncronization issues between my Nokia N97 and Outlook 2010 for nearly a year! With the latest Ovi Suite version 2.2.0.245, finally some issues are solved but still others persist. In this thread I would like to mention that Ovi synchronization does not sync the Contacts information such as Company and E-mail.
