I mistakenly synced my mobile phone when I connected it to Ovi Suite. I have disabled all syncing, but Ovi Suite still shows my contacts, messages, photos and music. This happens whether my phone is plugged in to the computer or not.Also where are the files stored on the computer? I would like to delete them.I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Ovi Suite, but it doesn't work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedUsing the latest Ovi suite (updated through updates, not sure v number though). I received an X6 today. Seems pretty nice so far. However, had some issues transferring text messages between phones - it broke the dates on the MMS and left me with a bit of a messy inbox on my X6. So, I synced messages using Ovi suite from my old N82, and they all copied onto my PC fine. However, if I now connect my X6 to my PC and hit sync messages, it just says 'done', and doesn't copy my messages from my PC to my X6. Is there any way to do this? I'd like to keep all my old texts from my N82 and transfer them to my X6.

As an example I had an appointment at 9 this morning. My phone says that it is at 8, and reminded me at 7, although the time in Outlook for the appointment is 9.

So in Windows live a contacts birthday is correct, but in the phone it shows incorrectly day later. How is this possible as my phone gets the contact cards from the Windows live and they should be the same? I have checked the time zones and all match.

Before reinstallation I always used sync contact through ovi store but never tried to take backup, but know I am not able to found my lost contact anywhere. Unfortunately none of data suite / ovi suite versions (don't use ovi!!!) gives such possibility. Since there is navigation software like Garmin which does not require buying new licences each time you need to navigate - and I need it every day, keeping Nokia OEM software is just a waste of space.

First off, yes, I know how I should be able to delete apps from the N8.My problem is that since I downloaded an app named "Banzai Nihon Go" I cannot even navigate the Applications folder. As soon as it opens, my N8 freezes and I have to restart.Because of this, I tried connecting to my (Windows XP) computer in mass storage mode, to try to find the app in the drive and delete it that way. But in usb mass storage mode, it will only show the memory card (which I don't even have one!). The phone won't show the 14gb E: drive in mass storage mode!!So now I cannot open my Applications folder without freezing my phone, and cannot delete the bad app which is causing the problem!

The problem is: How do I remove the half-dead app? Download Nokia PC Suite first (the updated one) from site below ... Or if you already have it on your computer go to control panel click on add and remove then Nokia PC Suite it will ask you to install or repair click on repair and that will give you the updated version ...the only way you can remove phone lock is to update your Nokia E71s software ..But make sure you BACKUP your phone before hand or you will delete everything ..open Nokia PC Suite then click on update software takes about 15min but well worth it,you can also download the games the phone originally came with ... Solitaire etc from this site
