Nokia :: Freeing Up Memory On N97

I am attempting to transfer as many files as possible from my phone memory to mass memory...At present I only have about 16mb of space left on my phone memory and when I check my files I see that 39mb is used for other and 18mb for SIS applications.......the rest..eg calender, contacts, messaging are taking up very little space...can anyone tell me what other and SIS actually mean and what files they include....I have purchased and downloaded Quickoffice...could this be part of it...

I find myself constantly obsessed with freeing memory on my 3GS. If it's not at least 140mb free I'm anal about it lol. My question is, are there any negative effects to doing this? Normally I would think not EXCEPT my phone has rebooted in safe mode only about 3 times total after freeing it up through SBSettings. Other than those instances it has never happened.

I have noticed that when using the pull up screen and using the little mobilego propeller icon to clear active processes, with in a few minutes of doing so, there are more processes again to clear...even the phone has sat idle. I would figure without me doing anything, it would stay "optimized", but this is not the case. Is this normal or am I having an issue?

When I delete apps on my iPhone 4 with 32g it doesn't free up any memory? I goto settings,general, about and it says 28g used and like 4g free. I deleted almost all my apps and the memory stayed the same.Why am I having this problem and what can I do to fix it? It seems like it is slowing phone down also. Plz help I really don't want to use reset option but if I have to I will.

after about 4 mnths of use neo v started to lag.specially when playing games like temple run which ran smoothly before.i have about 110mb free int memry.what cn i do?is thr an option to restore phone to day 1 lvl or sth?

Totally new to this phone, with the option to download applications. Having great fun in doing so but not always given the option of where to save them to with the end result that they are saving to the phone memory which keeps filling up and then giving me an error message. Can anyone please tell me how to move apps from the phone memory to the card memory. And can anyone also tell me if I have an icon on the 'Menu' screen and the 'Apps' screen, does this mean the application has been downloaded twice and do I need both or can I delete one (presumably the 'Menu' one)?

I recently bought Nokia 5800. When installed any jar or .sis files on Card Memory, eventually my Phone Memory is getting used. Even though I am very diligent in selecting Card Memory while installation, Phone Memory is getting reduced. Kindly Help me please.

Have just been sent new E72 as my old one died (see my other post). All is well except when i connect to PC via USB cable and select 'Mass Storage' I get the message 'Memory Store Unavailable' on my phone and cannot access the contents of my memory card. I have the latest firmware on the phone. I can access the card through nokia PC Suite but that's a pain and I never had this problem before with my old E72.I'm running XP - if I go to my computer and double click 'Removable Disc (E' I just get the 'please insert disc into drive E' message.

I have come to 'Memory Low ' error message and have a question about that.I am not using additional applications, just default ones.I am not using mail.I clean web cache.What I have though is a lot of Saved Pages. As I noticed that my memory is geting low, I deleted my music using File manager and deleted some Saved pages. Problem is that used memory is still the same like it was before I deleted the files. I suppose that my deleted files gone to recycle bin or something like that? How can I REALY delete it (without reset)? And another question: Is there a way to save (transfer) 'Saved Pages' to memory card?

I'm having a small problem here. The memory of both memory card and internal memory of my N900 is read only. I tried a reboot, reconnecting, ... I've recently tried to change my message storage space. Using the "Others" settings option, I changed my text message memory to my memory card. And I was given the option of copying the messages over to my memory card, and saving the original messages. If I am not mistaken, I now have duplicates of messages on both my phone memory and my memory card. if new incoming messages will be stored on phone memory or memory card? and how do i delete the messages from my phone memory? which is better, to save on my phone or my memory card?

I only have 4 MB of space left on drive C: Phone Memory on my Nokia N86 8MP, yet when I access the folder there's nothing in it for me to delete. I think that this problem came about as such things as Ovi Maps would automatically install to C: drive without giving me the option to save it anywhere else.

My phone is Nokia N97 and yesterday when i had worked with it ... it get automatic reset phone. i turned on it can't find memory 32gb! So ,,, i go Application>office>File Manager> and E: it said "memory in use" What's problem?? Also i upgrade my phone to new firmware V21 and don't effect to my phone memory.... I open details of Phone Memory and it says that Images take 5787 kb. I open image folder in it and theres nothing.
