When I delete apps on my iPhone 4 with 32g it doesn't free up any memory? I goto settings, general, about and it says 28g used and like 4g free. I deleted almost all my apps and the memory stayed the same. Why am I having this problem and what can I do to fix it? It seems like it is slowing phone down also. Plz help I really don't want to use reset option but if I have to I will.

iPhone 4, iOS 5.0.1, Freeing up memory space?
I find myself constantly obsessed with freeing memory on my 3GS. If it's not at least 140mb free I'm anal about it lol. My question is, are there any negative effects to doing this? Normally I would think not EXCEPT my phone has rebooted in safe mode only about 3 times total after freeing it up through SBSettings. Other than those instances it has never happened.

I have noticed that when using the pull up screen and using the little mobilego propeller icon to clear active processes, with in a few minutes of doing so, there are more processes again to clear...even the phone has sat idle. I would figure without me doing anything, it would stay "optimized", but this is not the case. Is this normal or am I having an issue?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI accidentally deleted a photo gallery on my sister's LG 4. I tried all the recovery programs available online. Most programs do not recognize the LG 4 for some reason I read but don't remember. I am also not techy enough to root the phone. It blows my mind that this smartphone doesn't have a recycle bin or a go-back feature where you can recover deleted items.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just noticed this on my phone last night and I can't figure it out. My phone has 16 GB of internal memory but when I go to Settings and then Storage, my phone is reporting that my memory is totally consumed and app are using over 20 GB of memory. If I use the "MY Files" app that comes installed on the phone, it show device storage as 10.43/16.00 GB. I don't get any errors when installing new apps or updating old ones.
I have cleaned app cache with 360, cleaned system cache in recovery mode, performed a battery pull and gone to the settings app and cleared data with no result.
I try to synch my iphone 4 to itunes and though it currently has nothing on it, it shows it is over capacity. What can I do to fix this?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've had this phone about four or five years, I think. I use the radio and walkman functions more than I use it as a phone.
1. It's got a 512mb stick in it and I'd like to replace it with something with greater capacity - say 4gb or 8gb - do I can put a lot more stuff on it. I spoke to Maplin about a new stick and the chap there said, if the phone is that sort of age, I might be able to go up only to a 1gb or 2gb and should check. Does anyone know the answer please?
2. The handbook (which I have just downloaded) talks about a file manager function, but I can't see it on my phone - is this a problem?
3. I have gone through all the menus and can't see a function to let me format a new memory stick - can I use one without formatting it?
I keep getting notifications that my storage is getting low; even after I deleted a couple apps and a bunch of pictures. I went to Settings > Storage and I saw that "System & other" is taking up 9.66GB. Is it supposed to be taking up this much? If not, what can I do to reduce this? Then, when I go to Content to try to delete some things, it lists "Browser" and "Miscellaneous." I don't understand what exactly is under these tabs. If I click "Browser," I see a lot of "IMAG" along with music files that are on my phone. So if I delete these items, does it mean I am deleting those specific pictures and music tracks from my phone altogether? If so, then why aren't they solely under "Music" or "Photos"? Also with Misc.; When I click it, I see things labelled such as Snapchat or Tumblr.

I have a Samsung Galaxy s5, and today I decided to clean some of my files from the "My Files" application. Usually when I clean out the files, everything will be all fine and dandy, but recently (which means, 30 minutes ago), I tapped the "Device Storage." and I did something, and It processed and everything seemed to be fine, because usually when I clean something out , for instance"videos", "Audio." or "Documents.", my photos and such are still there. But when I came back from a quick errand, I went into gallery to see that ALL my photo albums were completely gone. they had vanished, and to where I have no clue. I do not have an sd card, but I do have micro SD Sim installed into my galaxy s5, and I know for a fact that everything in your phone is there for eternity whether or not you deleted it, so right now how to gain back ALL of my five albums filled with photos. I had some beautiful photos that I would hate to lose.

When I checked my phone's memory from Options page, I was surprised to get the following information. I then validated the information with an app called "BeInfo Lite". This is very different from the 9860 specification where I should have 768MB RAM and 4GB storage memory. Phone Options->Device->Storage: Application Storage - Free Space: 150.3MB Built-in Media Storage: Total 2.5 GB, Free 2.2 GB The app "BeInfo Lite" shows the following: Flash Memory (RAM): Total: 512.93MB, Free: 149.7MB, Used: 363.23MB Storage Memory: Total: 2.58 GB, Free: 2.23 GB, Used: 350.78 MB Is there anything wrong on my phone?
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I accidentally deleted files off my internal storage in an attempt to free it up (it said miscellaneous but didn't realise this included all my received whatsapp pics and videos).
So I've read that I need to root my phone in order to try recover these, I've so far downloaded odin and ran the pda which passed. Then I put SUSuper I think on my internal storage and from this point my phone stopped following the tutorial.
