How do you shut off the speaker in the e72? I have read the user's guide for the phone but it doesn't help. I have gone through the usual suspects on the menu (e.g. control panel, settings) but nowhere can I find a way to shut the speaker off.
View 5 RepliesIve seen people complain about speaker phone automatically being on when they answer the phone. However my problem is sort of the opposite. When I am on a call and using speakerphone is randomly shuts off. I dont realize it until its the other persons turn to talk and I can hardly hear them.

The batter was fully charged the previous night so I doubt if its a battery problem. Any suggestions / tips on what the problem could be and how I could resolve it.

I went to the following map:Settings > Connectivity > (Don't know the word they choose in Engels, but it will be something like: Destionations or Objectives or Goals.) > Internet.There I made a new wrong port and removed all the working ports I had. So my internet should only be able to connect with that link.Still, a month later my bill was 70 euro's higher then normal, due my internetconnection on my holiday.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy N8 does not respond anymore!!! I have updated its software, not withoug difficulty, with symbian anna 1/2, and 2/2 one week ago. On friday, Ovi informed me that there is a new update for the software, I accepted the update. While updating the phone jammed and then the computer jammed, I was obliged to reboot the phone and the computer as well. Since then the phone would not turn on!!! I tried the software updated, but still the computer does recognize my N8. I guess it has to be on to be recognized. If I push the power button for 10 sec, it does not turn on, it only vibrates, and the USB lead starts to flash!!! I do not know what to do to have my phone go back to normal.
View 6 Replies View Relatedi have N8 with latest updates (Anna, update v025.007). Today I installed Maps v3.08 (105).
I use Appstop-application to cotroll what apps I'm running. I noticed that after I start Maps once it wont shut down. Even the program seems to shuot down there is still process called "Nokia Kartat" (Nokia Maps in Finnish) running. If I shut it down manually it will start again immediatelly.
Powering the phone will kill it, until Maps is used next time. This is quite annoying and battery consuming
Today has arrived my new Nokia E52 bought on Nokia Spain online, it has firm 31 and I have upgrade to firm 33.002.I have testing the phone about 4 hours since I have decided to return for a refund.My faults are: A irregular wifi, sometime found, sometimes not found my home wifi.A face plate at the bottom loose( near the camera button ).Upnp shutdown when I look for some items.These faults are inadmissible for me.I am very unhappy because the phone fits my needs perfect and there arenīt any other that like to me.I donīt know if to try lucky with a change for other E52 or take a money refund.

Everything was ok for 1 day and then the phone starts to shut down when it at idle. could take 1-2 hours before it just decides to shut down. it seems very ramdom. first few times it started again but suddenly I had to take out the battery...wait a while and then start it and today it decided to shut down and I can't start it at all. Had the battery out for 10 min but not any life signs when I try again.

i dont like my phone to make a noise unless its ringing or i have a new text or email. i went to settings and disabled keyboard sounds but i can not find any way to turn of the nasty noise that i now get with every movement on words with friends. I have to manually mute it each time i pop on to play and remember to turn it back up again after.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had a white Z5 Compact for a week and have now noticed that the bottom speaker is much louder than the top, ruining the stereo effect. I am sure it did not come this way out of the box. I didn't notice until after the recent firmware update (32.0.A.6.152), but cannot know whether this is the cause of the problem. I went through the hassle of factory reset and the phone still has the problem. I haven't subjected the phone to any physical trauma at all and will be returning it.Â

I'm rinning version firmware V50.0.005 and have just updated to the latest Ovi Sat-nav. Now when one of my alarms triggers it won't shut off. Pressing stop on the screen gets a response from the hand set (it vibrates) but the alarm just keeps on playing.

I have a Nokia 6300 Rm-217 and while it was connected to the pc in data mode it shut itself down i could enter in the phones memory for 20 secs or so and then it stopped working now if i try to start it the blue lights turn on blink once and they stay on until i stop pressing the power button.Please this is urgent!

I can focus (on pitch black), change all the settings but to no avail. The only thing I see on the screen is total pitch black. The black shutter makes a funny noise and seems to fail over and not open.

I tried to forcefullly shut it off by pulling out the battery. The fone shut off. But, when I place the battery back and turn it on, it stays at the same 'nokia' screen. View 7 Replies View RelatedI purchased my N97 about a year ago and I absolutely adore it. I haven't run into any problems until last week. When I turn on my phone, enter the unlock code and use it to do whatever I need to do, it works fine. However, if I lock the phone or let the backlight shut off, it won't turn back on and neither do the lights on the number keys. Here is the funny part: If I press the power key (as if I were to change my profile) the backlight turns on, allowing me to see the screen, but the number keys don't light up! Does anyone know what I can do?
I'm not very tech savvy (so please don't laugh if my solutions are completely wrong), but here are some of the things I have done to try and rectify the problem:
- Let the battery drain completely and charged it in the hopes that it would rectify itself like it has in the past with other issues
- Took out the battery, SIM card and memory card just to make sure everything was inserted properly
- Restored the phone to factory settings
I recently bought a Nokia E63 and after around a week of having it, the speaker went really quiet so I can barely hear what people are saying during a call and I keep having to switch it to loudspeaker which is quite annoying. Also because the speaker's quiet I can't hear my ringtone when I receive a call :/
I'm thinking of sending it for repair so I picked up a freepost return form from the Carphone Warehouse and it says to keep the Sim and memory card only but on the Nokia site the form says to hold onto the battery and battery case too?? Can anyone help me with this?Also I take it I send it back in the box right? With a proof of purchase?
I bought a Nokia N79 new handset from Nokia Prority Dealer and after two months LCD stopped working. Being in warranty, I got it replaced by Nokia Care. Now, sometimes the external speakers of the mobile phone stop working and for the same, I went to Nokia care 3 times (infact, this happened thrice) they rectified it, but it has started again. My phone is still in warranty but I am afraid that once the warranty is over, they will start charging for the service. Is there any way to get a new phone from Nokia ?
