When I use the web browser on my new E72 it closes unexpectedly and somewhat randomly.All software is up to date. I discovered that if I go to the following website I can make it close/crash every time:

View 1 Replies View RelatedLike the title says, my 5230's web browser crashes whenever I try and load a forum thread, I was able to do this a while ago and I've not run out of data or anything, there are no music files, no photos, no apps on the phone. I have reset the settings to factory but nothing has helped.I'm starting to get fed up of this phone, it has good navigation properties but that is just about the only thing it has going for it now.

The reply from support is simply update software, I can't see why I have to do all this, as apart from anything else I don't currently have a phone line for internet due to illegal BT sales activity! It is also suggested that I send phone off in a jiffy bag to be repaired if unsuccessful, and what do I do for a phone in the mean time?? Not only that they suggest that it will cost me if it is not a fault they cover.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a nokia 5530 xpress music mobile - (Christmas present) and was wondering when any new firmware is going to be released; The native browser just closes on its own (sometimes active sometimes inactive) The phone is a little slow loading up and menus (know this may be down to apps etc and memory card) The shortcut icons disappear sometimes from the homescreen (causing a reset to rectify) and when I change them the shortcut on the far right changes itself back to facebook The phone sometimes gets stuck on a white screen at startup which can only be solved by removing the memory card and starting up then reinserting There are a few more minor things but they don't really matter but I have noticed the touchscreen can be quite unresponsive needing quite firm touches or repetitive touches (yes I know some things require double touch) I was also wondering why my phone keeps disconnecting from the wifi source (I have a standard home router) - I know some routes 'refresh' themselves however I don't have problems with my computers or laptops (yes I know its different hardware) Done get me wrong its a good phone, with great features and I am not complaining however I just expected less obvious faults not ones that can cause disruption in normal day-to-day use URL...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an X6 and have installed ovi suite. It has worked fine for a couple of weeks and I have been able to succesfully transfer media such as pictures and music.
Now when I click to start up ovi suite it loads the first white page then closes without any error messages. The OVI icon on the bottom right taskbar disapears when I hover the mouse over it. It will not start. I'm getting really sick of this phone and the software.
Does anyone know why this problem is occuring? Every other device I connect regularly (such as ipod, sony ericsson and 2 external HDDs have not suddenly stopped working) so why has this cheapo Nokia suddenly become incompatible?
I have been using Nokia Maps 3 (free edition) for a short while on my Nokia 5800 v40.0.005 and have been happy with the new route directions etc. Suddenly, they have stopped working. The menu loads, stays visibe but unresponsive for a short time then closes. There are no error messages. I tried uninstalling Maps on my phone and have just finished re-installing them but to no avail. Can't think of anything else I have changed but have I missed something? Thanks, Paul. BTW, the positioning software with GPS still works as does everything else on the phone that I can see.

When I open the app, it opens fine, then closes by itself after about 10 seconds! I have deleted and re-installed the software, I deleted the CIties file and QF files.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a N85 Navi which I bought less than a year ago. I updated this week the maps and the application (latest version)and added one voice for the navigation. After this update when I open the Maps and select Settings and Navigation (to change i.e. voice), Maps closes automatically without any error messages. I can open all the other settings sub-menus. Any ideas why this is happening? Do I have the to re-install the application, maps and voices?
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe browser on my Nokia 701 is great -certainly much better than past versions- but websites 'see' it as a full size browser and so deliver it full size web pages. I have found this leads to much dragging and zooming. If the site also has pop-ups (which can fully obscure the screen!) this can lead to misclicks, impossible to navigate sites etc. Also full size webpages are slow to load and more expensive on data.
This issue has led me to either manually navigating to the mobile versions of the websites I like (bit of a pain) or to simply use the Opera Mini browser instead. The Opera browser is free and websites 'recognise' it as a mobile browser. This means without any work when I surf I instantly get the mobile version of the website I want (assuming one exists), easy to navigate and fast (and so cheaper) to load. In many cases this works much better for me.
So I think Nokia have missed a trick here. Maybe they should offer a feature whereby the user can tell their browser to find either mobile-friendly pages or normal ones. They could even add in a second browser shortcut, one which launches the Nokia browser in a 'mobile' mode.
Now running a 701, beautiful phone to handle and use...now that it has stopped sending my personal information to Nokia via 360Panel [rolls eyes]
I cannot open it unless I charge it (even if it has 80% battery). The big problem: while it is shut down, people can call me, and I never see it (the phone doesn't ring, and after openning it I see no missed calls. It even happened to me not to ever receive messages sent while the iphone was dead.I have firstly tried to change my battery. The I tried to reboot (press and hold Lock&Home buttons), then I tried to reset it (to factory settings) from the iTunes. It did not help. Can anybody give me a hint about what else should I try?

I am experiencing a rather strange behavior from my phone. In my office, where are deployed 5 computers (one of this is a notebook), my phone reboots randomly as the battery would have been removed. Outside from this room it works perfectly well. It seems like some kind of noise interferes with the device.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHave been happily using the LG V10 for about a week now (I'm a convert from Note 3, after seeing Samsung neglected we users and removed the SD card slot and removable battery). Phone has performed pretty flawlessly except for one curious thing: I expect any apps that I open will stay that way until I close them or do a 'clear all'. That has proven true so far for all apps except for the stock Calendar app! I can open it and view it, then go work with other apps or invoke the lock screen. When I unlock the phone, all the other running apps are still available, but the calendar app for some reason has been shut down and I have to reopen it. This is very curious, and I never had that issue on the Note 3.

By itself.I've turned the screensaver OFF, the energy saver OFF, and hit the ZC setting "Never go to sleep." After that, it started to crash and crash over and over with doing automatic restart. I took it to the warranty company which is Axiom in the UAE, well they format it and the same problem still there. Then I returned back to them, so they finally replaced it with NEW one with new PIN code, but guess what... The same problem happened AGAIN !! just by today, it crashed six times !! and yesterday it freeze up completely, so I had to pull out the battery.
Some of my friends told me that the memory card (4GB) might bethe problem, so I bought new one with 8 GB space but still suffering.
This is an evidence that the software itself is NOT WORKING as it should be.What kind of mobile phone that will fail you down more than five times in a day ?It's expensive, It's new, I paid money for it, so why I can't get benefit of my spending?
