When I send mail through MfE, Swedish and other special characters do not reach the recipient, they are just ignored. No blanks or nothing. Every word with a Swedish character ends up one letter short. Before the firmware upgrade this was intermittent, happening only on about half of my mails. Now I upgraded yesterday, and it seems the problem is now permanent.Have seen similar posts from E75 and E90 owners, their problems seem to have been fixed by newer firmware. Our setup is: Exchange 2003, Portwise authentication. All other phone models work fine, like iPhone, E71 etc.
I realize that by holding a key you get a set of special characters, but some are still missing, for example the apple logo and other weird ones i've seen on screenshots in the wallpaper thread. where do you view these and use them?secondly, emoticons - where do you gets these, how do you use them? is this something you select on Settings?
Normally on a PC you use the alt button and the numeric keys to put a certain mark on a letter I.e an accent sign on an e. How do I do that on my BB torch
i cannot see special characters like ä ï ë ü in my inbox.i also update ng firmware with the latest but nothing happened it is still the same that i cannot see special characters for the incoming messages.
Bought my s6 edge plus in Hong Kong. I noticed that the keyboard is different from my previous samsung phones bought from Malaysia because when i press and hold a letter, the special characters, ñ, é, etc. doesn't appear. Instead a punctuation mark does. How do i use a special character?
I've had my xoom for quite some time now and this has bothered me from day one and I can't figure out how to make it stop. On the keyboard, if you hover ever so slightly too long over the "s" or the "e" or any number of letters on the keyboard the xoom changes that to a special character. How do you turn this blasted thing off. I NEVER use those, will NEVER need them and don't want the keyboard to do it.
my keyboard on my phone will only let me type a j and a k once I press one of them, and the j key types a k and the k key types a j, none of the other buttons do anything when it happens and so I have to reboot, when it does it all over again, what shall I do?Also, the screen goes black after a while if I keep trying other buttons meaning I need to reboot again.
when I type "o" -- i get "ok" when I type "r" I get "rf" when i type "k" I get "ok" when i type "n" I get "nj" when I type a -- it opens the contacts
I have deinstalled all apps -- reloaded OS 7.1 tried just about everything problem started at noon today and happened on and off for a while but now is all the time.part of the problem now is i cant unlock the bb due to the password letter combination -- have to access it through desktop manager.
I switched to BIS synch since Google synch vanished. An event put into the calendar on the desktop is synched into the handheld with the time moved back an hour. Events on the handheld synch perfectly into the computer calendar. This is not a time zone issue. Is there a patch for this?
the E6 tells me firmware version is 021.014, and Nokia Suite (the latest...well I hope ;-)) tells me it's up to date.the Nokia website tells me that the latest firmware version is 022.014 and that I should use Nokia Suite to update the firmware if I wished to do so...
This particular bug isn't a show stopper by any means, but I thought I would bring it to your attention. On my way to work this morning, I forgot to end my workout. Luckily for me, Auto-pause had paused it for about an hour and a half before I remembered to hit "End Workout." As you can see from the screenshot below, the portal seems aware of the fact that the workout was only 37 minutes long, but the graph is displayed as if it were a 2 hour workout. "Elapsed" time for mouseovers is also incorrect.
I did a walk today and after a while, I was amused to first hear over the headphones that it was the longest distance I had done, then a bit later the longest duration and finally the most calories. At the end, I noticed one minor error. It said I had done my longest distance of 4.02 kilometers but my units were miles and I had in fact done 4.02 miles. This was correct in the normal summary field.
My iPhone 4 volume keys and silent/ringer keys are not working and it doesn't ring and vibrate when i get a call or text and neither the sound working when i use any app like games etc. but when i go to settings and change the ringtone then its ringing and the sound is working when i play music but there is a problem as well the headphone dock is not working.
I cannot type in the circumflex and tilde characters (as well as some others). When using the hardware keyboard, I use the Sym key to get the onscreen selection of symbols/chars and from there, all the characters work except for all those on the row that contains the circumflex and tilde. I also tried enabling the onscreen keyboard and selecting them from there, but they don't work in that either. When touching the tilde button, it turns orange, but does not transfer the character into the text area like it does with the less than character for example.Does anyone know how to get that working please?
I'm french and bought my N8 at home, but I now work and live in China.I need to have Chinese characters displayed in SMS, mails and some apps.I found how to have them before Anna updates, but since I lost them and the previous trick (/t5/Nseries-and-S60-Smartphones/Nokia-N8-RM-596-Symbian-3-Keyboard-and-Font-Language-Support/m-p/773...) doesn't work anymore.I'm desperately looking for a solution for 2 days, finding nothing.
Got my nokia 5800, really happy. Installed Chinese as my second language on the mobile dictionary..... and the phone won't display the unicode characters. How can i get Chinese language support on my nokia?
I download the latest version of the program (Nokia PC Suite 7.1.180.46).In the messages part of the program, Messages does not supported the Unicode characters.
I am a Chinese nokia user with an European version of N8 because I am in France now. Recently I've updated my n8 to symbian anna and unfortunately I cannot see Chinese text messages from my friends. All the Chinese characters become small squares. In the language settings of the phone, I can only see English, French, Spanish.....All of them are European languages. I heard that only Asian versions of Nokia can support Chinese, I don't know why Nokia carries out this god damned **bleep**ing policy but can anyone show some tips to me in how to make Chinese charaters appear again on my N8?
My Nokia 3600 converts SMS into MMS automatically if the numbers of characters exceeds 918 (6 SMS).If I delete some characters sometimes it offers the possibilty to reconvert to SMS in the 'Options' menu (other times not); sometimes it does it automatically (not consistent).
But sometimes even if I have a lot less characters and then I use certain accented characters (French) it does the same and it can't be reconverted to SMS. Other accented characters don't have the same effect.(I spell them out because I don't know how they would be displayed: - characters always OK: 'a' grave, 'e' acute and grave, 'u' grave - characters not accepted: 'c' cedilla, 'o' circumflex)
My 2600 and 2610 never did this: I could write much longer messages up to the total limit (split into more SMS) without any problem. Is there a fix for this bug?
I have a nokia 6303 classic for more than a year and I am very happy with it. But because I moved to China I need support of Chinese characters for short messages. Is it possible to get it on the phone somehow?
I have been shopping for phones on Ebay and have found a few phones that the Sellers described as powering up but non functional because of a user lock code. The user locked phones are dirt cheap. I have been looking at HTC phones primarily: Mogul 6800, Touch 6900, Touch Pro 6850 and the Diamond.
1) Could I reset or "flash" a user locked phone and make it useable?
2) Would I need special software or equipement?
3) Is this something so easy for the dealer that is selling the phone to fix that I should be skeptical if this is just an excuse to hide a more serious problem with the phone?
