I've recently experience aproblem with my phone automatically connect to the internet every hour. therefore i set the connection mode to always ask but the mode pops up asking me to connect to the internet every hour. This kinda irritating. I've tried to reformat the phone using the *#7370# but problem still occured.

I've had a nokia 5800 for about 6 or 7 months now. when I got the phone I turned on the automatic time update and it kept time really well. Then it got to about november last year and suddenly it jumped ahead 1 hour. Now every morning I have to turn on auto update (since the phone wont keep time without it), let the time update, change the time back one hour and tell it I havn't changed time zones. I live in Perth Western Australia and we dont use daylight savings so I dont know what is going on with it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've bought a N97 mini and I'm very happy with it.However in the past week until now, I can't connect to the internet unless i connect via wireless lan.With GPRS i can't.I open the browser, it shows me on the top left corner the phone is trying to make a connection and then hangs up after 3seconds.
1 - I've check the definitions with my service provider
2 - I have tha latest firmware
3 - I have made a hard reset..
Can i choose if i do not want my "Pushmail" feature? Is there any configuration to be done in the handset?

My Blackberry Bold had been automatically connecting to internet and downloading my email by phone in roaming mode. I had expected email was only active in a free wireless area but it seems this was not true, it also used phone calls to download mail.
How can I block that without doing something as brutal as removing the SIM card? Other kinds of phones have settings to do that but I haven't found these settings in Blackberry Bold.
I downloaded "whats app" from Nokia OVI store on Saturday, using my home wi-fi just for fun and try out. However, since then, it seems like the phone has been trying to go online. I tried to find out how to disconnect from going online, but it just changed from high speed/3.5G to 3G. I am losing credit everyday. At first, I thought it was because I downloaded a game and the app from OVI store on Saturday. But this morning when I checked my credit, just to make sure. I noticed credit has been deducted from my balance. What should I do? How do I uninstall or delete "whats app" from ym phone?

When i'm getting home even if my phone is set to be connected by the internet i mean Mobile data is ON and the wifi is OFF is there any way to make that when i'm getting home it will detect any wifi will turn off the mobile data and will connect automatioc to the most strong wifi at home ?
Another question sometimes when i'm in my living room and connected to the wifi there when i'm getting to my pc room it's cont connecting all the time automatic to the wifi at my pc room it keep be connected to the living room wifi and the speed and the strenght of connect is not strong.
Sometimes it does change the wifi when going from lvinig room to pc room and sometimes not.
This is important since sometimes i forget to change the connection and it keep be on Mobile data when I'm home and not wifi. This is what i need:
It will search every X seconds/minutes for the strongest wifi at home and will connect to it automatic and will turn off the mobile data if it was on.
I have a brand new E72. I have set up some email accounts and installed some application which has automatic update abilities. I found that it consume quite a lot battery when I enable auto update, usually I need to recharge my phone every 2 days. Therefore, I turned off all automatic update includes sync of email. The problem is that my phone still keeps on asking me 'Select Connection' if I want to connect using Wifi, WAP or Internet. First of all, I do not know which app requires the connection. This is definitely a UI improvement! How can I know which app requires the connection! The issue is I cannot find how to tell my mail accounts I want to force the connections to Vodafone Internet 'Contract Internet'.
It seems that I can only select the connection point for my first email account and not for the remaining ones.. Is that correct? That's a bug.

However when I go to Ovi maps on my phone it always says connection failed, if I try to go to my location I get the red dot flashing searching for position then will go solid for a short while and start to flash again, it gives my location about 1 mile from where I am. Also from the OVI maps screen if I try to sign into my Nokia accost,(To get A-GPS I think) I get the message saying this requires you to go online, 'yes' brings up the connection failed message. I can browse the internet and go to face book etc. With no problems.

When I looked at my phone the little display box was on the screen and only when I cancelled that did the alarm go off. A text message also came in when the display box was cancelled, although it had been sent an hour earlier.I can't really rely on the alarm function until I get this sorted out so if anyone has any tips?

The ovi maps app works with my wlan internet at home but when I try to use my 3G optus network internet it says "connection unavailable- please try again"?
I can access my 3G optus network for all other internet purposes on my phone except ovi maps. What is wrong with it?

I suposse that the first option (Visual Radio) is the option to play FM radio and that it's free but when i check out my account after playing the radio i found that i've been charged. From the first day out of the box it has given me nothing but trouble!!! and i think that Nokia made a lot of mistakes with this "flagship phone"
But on to a more recent problem I've been having. i updated my firmware (via computer) to firmware v20.0.0.19 unfortunately I've completly lost the ability to go online through any form (3g /wifi) I've done everything i could think of (soft reset, hard reset) but nothing helps. I've read many threads who appear to have the same problem, only nobody has found a full prove solution (as far as i can see)

When I connect to a wireless its says nothing and the icon shows that it is connected, but in Truth its connected to none. And when I try to reconnect it it says close the active connection and when I try to do that it says that I'm not connected. And when I do this after a minute or 2 my phone turns off!
View 2 Replies View RelatedI often use wireless, but sometimes it has poor signal and is impossible to use so I also use simple mobile internet. Usually the phone using opera mini asks if you want to use mobile internet (not wireless) but now it almost never does, so I get the connection error message as there is no wireless, but I also cannot use my mobile internet. Just today it gave me problems because of that. So bassicly, I cannot use internet, unless I have good wireless signal. And I have mobile internet as priority number 1 in my settings. So is there something else to do? This problem is appearing and dissapearing. Thought could be from bad wireless, it kinda locks itself on it or something, but turning off the phone doesn't help.
