Nokia :: E72 Automatic Connect To Internet Every Hour
I've recently experience aproblem with my phone automatically connect to the internet every hour. therefore i set the connection mode to always ask but the mode pops up asking me to connect to the internet every hour. This kinda irritating. I've tried to reformat the phone using the *#7370# but problem still occured.

Nokia :: 5800 - Automatic Time Update / Jumped Ahead One Hour
I've had a nokia 5800 for about 6 or 7 months now. when I got the phone I turned on the automatic time update and it kept time really well. Then it got to about november last year and suddenly it jumped ahead 1 hour. Now every morning I have to turn on auto update (since the phone wont keep time without it), let the time update, change the time back one hour and tell it I havn't changed time zones. I live in Perth Western Australia and we dont use daylight savings so I dont know what is going on with it.

Nokia :: No More Automatic Connection To Internet
I just bought mine and it is running on V 10.2010.12-9, it worked great at first, but after some times of use it no longer automatically connect to the internet when needed, I've to manually connect every time by click on the top bar icon, reboot many times but no help, is this a bug ? and how do I change from 3G to 2G, it seems there is no way to do it.

Nokia :: N97 Automatic Internet / Network Selection
I have an N97 and when im at work i connect to a wireless network on my phone. I go into Settings> Connectivity> Wireless LAN and select the network required. However, when i leave the office, my widgets go offline, i cannot browse the net and i constantly get an error saying cannot connect to WAN. SURELY there has to be a way i can set it to connect to a wireless network when possible and if one is not available to connect to the standard Vodafone one without me having to manually do it.I have downloaded the auto wifi apps from the app store but they make no difference.

Nokia :: N97 BBC Iplayer / Automatic Default To Orange Internet NOT Wifi
Just been on the phone to the nokia support team for the n97 - they appear to be baffled! When I go to bbc iplayer, my phone defaults automatically to access the internet via orangeinternet (my provider). I have set up my home wifi as the priority for access but the phone ignores these settings! If I connect to the web, not an application, the phone behaves and gives me the choice to scan Wlan. All the iconed apps behave in the sanme way - facebook, amazon etc. Is it because Accueather is always running possibly? Any other solutions?

BB Bold :: Block Automatic Internet Download?
I just came back from a week in Spain and found a very expensive mobile phone bill. My Blackberry Bold had been automatically connecting to internet and downloading my email by phone in roaming mode. I had expected email was only active in a free wireless area but it seems this was not true, it also used phone calls to download mail. How can I block that without doing something as brutal as removing the SIM card? Other kinds of phones have settings to do that but I haven't found these settings in Blackberry Bold.

I downloaded "whats app" from Nokia OVI store on Saturday, using my home wi-fi just for fun and try out. However, since then, it seems like the phone has been trying to go online. I tried to find out how to disconnect from going online, but it just changed from high speed/3.5G to 3G. I am losing credit everyday. At first, I thought it was because I downloaded a game and the app from OVI store on Saturday. But this morning when I checked my credit, just to make sure. I noticed credit has been deducted from my balance. What should I do? How do I uninstall or delete "whats app" from ym phone?

My E90 had no problems whatsoever connecting to Internet until recently it suddenly stopped. When I press the "Web" icon or the "Web" button nothing happens - the screen just reverts to the menu screen. The GPRS, 3G and WLAN continues to work perfectly for my corporate push email and my private email, so the phone continues to communicate through these channels.

I have a brand new E72. I have set up some email accounts and installed some application which has automatic update abilities. I found that it consume quite a lot battery when I enable auto update, usually I need to recharge my phone every 2 days. Therefore, I turned off all automatic update includes sync of email. The problem is that my phone still keeps on asking me 'Select Connection' if I want to connect using Wifi, WAP or Internet. First of all, I do not know which app requires the connection. This is definitely a UI improvement! How can I know which app requires the connection! I've been using this phone for atleast a month now. and i've noticed in the log my phone keeps on trying to connect to my home wi-fi, and if that isnt available it tries to connect to Vodafone AU Internet (one of the accesss points). now this costs me money as i am on prepaid!! I'm not using any widgets that require to go online, i put it in idle mode and it tries to connect. i dont even know where its going to.n97.

Nokia :: Ovi Maps Cannot Connect To Internet
I have a Nokia 5230 which I have updated the maps via Ovi suite on my PC,. However when I go to Ovi maps on my phone it always says connection failed, if I try to go to my location I get the red dot flashing searching for position then will go solid for a short while and start to flash again, it gives my location about 1 mile from where I am. Also from the OVI maps screen if I try to sign into my Nokia accost,(To get A-GPS I think) I get the message saying this requires you to go online, 'yes' brings up the connection failed message. I can browse the internet and go to face book etc. With no problems.

My 5800 seems to have developed some sort of problem where it won't connect to the internet (either via Wi-Fi or Orange Internet)this only seems to have happened since I updated the latest firmware last night (V 21.0.025)To clarify, when using an application (ie BBC iPlayer or AccuWeather); the application requests to connect to the internet, I allow this either via Wi-Fi or Orange Internet and it begins to open, then the application closes itself. Likewise if trying to use the Internet application itself - it requests to connect, then closes.

I'm not sure if it's some fuction on the phone that is trying to connect or what.It wasn't bothering me that much until this morning when my alarm didn't go off. When I looked at my phone the little display box was on the screen and only when I cancelled that did the alarm go off. A text message also came in when the display box was cancelled, although it had been sent an hour earlier.I can't really rely on the alarm function until I get this sorted out so if anyone has any tips?

When i am at home it connects to my wifi router each time i make a phone call.When I am away, I get a message asking me if i allow an internet connection to be established.Why is that happening?? What kind of information and why is being transmitted? How can i disable that? GPRS/3G traffic is expensive to be wasted like that.

I have a new N96 from Vodafone and I can use my O2 sim card for everything including MMS but can still not connect to the internet. I have manually added the O2 wap details but keep getting an error (status code: 504).O2 say its not guaranteed to work, being a Vodafone branded N96 and Vodafone say it should work as everything should be unlocked.Can anyone help?
