Nokia :: E52 - French Motorways Gps

I have just travelled from England to Switzerland via France. Both in England and Switzerland the newly installed gps on my E52 took me to Dover and from the Swiss border to my destination respectively on the fastest route using mainly motorways.

In France, however, the gps tried to get me to leave the motorway at every junction even though there were no obstructions and the motorway was obvioulsy the fastest and shortest route. I have checked all my settings to make sure, for instance, that toll roads are allowed. I changed from optimal fastest then to shortest route. All to no avail. The man keeps saying "take the next exit".

My son - who has used the Nokia gps for a while - does not appear to have the same problem.
