When I delete messages in Outlook on my PC (standard POP mailbox, not Exchange), they would usually disappear from my BB within 30 minutes. Now I upgraded to a Tour last week and this is not happening, I have to delete in both places. I'm sure it is just a simple setting I am missing but can't find where it should be. I do have the reconciliation: on conflicts: set to Mailbox wins.
Other then this, really enjoying the Tour. I'll be going overseas next month so we'll see how well Verizon handles that.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMaybe this is in the VZW Tour 5.0 software thread or something, but after completing the software upgrade, when I receive emails through my Gmail account and decide to delete an email, I am no longer getting the option to delete from the mailbox, the device, or both, although the option is set uo from this particular email account. I'm not having any problems with the Yahoo email account. I've removed the email and readded it on the phone as well as on the Blackberry Internet Server website.

When I deleted an email on my computer from the Gmail website, will it delete from the BlackBerry?
I've had a few BB's in the past and it never worked properly. Sometimes email was deleted from my BB after a few hours but mostly it never deleted the email.
if i delete an email on my handheld it does not delete from my actual gmail account. in fact, it doesnt even say that its read. well, on the computer next to inbox it doesnt say any are new, but when i look at the inbox, i still have the emails and it shows them bolded like they were not read at all. when i delete on my bb, nothing happens to gmail. i tried deleting my gmail address from my phone, resending service books, battery pulls but none of that has resolved. i made sure that handheld wins was set to on under wireless reconciliation and in the VZW BIS control/email settings i have it set to sync deleted emails.
i tried fooling around with the contact sync a few days ago but stopped it becaues it wasnt working (this is the only new thing ive done with my bb in the last week or so). i also downoaded the new socialbeat app from verizon/iskoot. but other than that nothing is new in the last few days. i am running driphters 6.3 on top of whatever OS its supp to be installed on (.484 i think?). dont just jump to that as the problem because i have had it for almost a month and have not had a problem until now (that i tried that stupid contact sync bullsht).
My Gmail and Blackberry sync works perfectly except for one area. When I delete messages in Gmail through my web browser they do not delete through sync on the Blackberry. How can I fix this? It is extremely frustrating to clean 30 emails at my desk only to find them all still on my BB when I hit the road.

The previous email app which is no longer supported by Lollipop allowed one to delete an email from the app without deleting it from the server (Comcast) if it was a POP account. This was handy because it removed clutter from my phone inbox but allowed me to read and reply to the same email on my desktop (POP email). Just now I read and then deleted an email (Comcast) from the GMail app and attempted to read and reply to that email on my desktop. Horrors. It's gone. It doesn't appear in my email client (Thunderbird) nor on the server.
I could not find any way to change that behavior in GMail under settings. The missing emails are in the trash folder on the phone but I couldn't figure out a way to transfer them back to the inbox or even less likely to get them back on the server. I will now, of course, be careful not to delete any email messages from GMail but I wonder if any way to change the behavior of the app?
My company is using gmail as our new email provider and I cannot get emails that I have deleted in either my gmail in box or outlook inbox to sync up and be removed from my Droid. I only want to see what is in my inbox now, not what was in there from 6 says ago.

Then I've entered in the address and then password then a message is given informing me that a bookmark is added to web browser to enable e-mail use ...then I am returned to the menu.I then re-enter as above to see if a mailbox has been created.but no box is ever created.
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo I added a new gmail email address to my phone but by accident, when prompted told it to synch my contacts with that account. The first thing it did was import all the contacts to my gmail address book, on gmail.com, effectively erasing most of them from the phone. I took it into the t-mobile store and the guy somehow managed to recover about 1/3 of the contacts. So when I took it home, I deleted that email address and just plugged it into my computer and re-synched the contacts from my address book. However, whenever I look in my address book on the blackberry now, at the top of a contact it says "Sychronize using: emailaddress@gmail.com" (Obviously insert the email address I used). But that email address is no longer on my phone, so how is it synched with that? It also I think it is creating problems with synching up my facebook contacts as their pictures no longer show as icons on my phone. It's a minor problem, and seems to be a software issue, but is there any way to completely un-sych my contacts from this deleted email address?

I have two email accounts setup, and when I choose 'send' from the photos gallery, it automatically selects one. I would like to change it to use the other email account, but even though I've set the one I want to use as the 'primary' account i the email and homescreen settings, it uses the other one.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have set my company email using IMAP set up and whenever I send email from my phone a copy of the email sent is saved in the default 'Sent Items' folder. I tried selecting one of these sent email and used 'Move' option to move the email. When I click Move it shows a screen where it says 'no data'. FYI I have already updated my Server side folder list but I do not see my server side folder listed in the Move page. I am not sure if this is an issue or am I missing something?
