Aug 7, 2010I'll try to explain best I can. Lately (last week or 2) I get the new message icon displayed, but when I open my messages folder the red asterick goes away but the envolpe icon still is there and the count goes up. Currently it says 4 but I do not have any unread emails, nor any unread facebook messages. The only way to 'reset' this is a battrr pull. But then it starts generating again. I just updated 4.6.1.319 hoping this would help but sstill the same problems. If any other info is needed please let me know.

Jul 8, 2012i deleted my three personal email accounts by mistake in Bb curve 9300 O6( update) network independent.i actaully just activated blackberry internet service account and suddenly all three accounts were gone.Though i never made any account in blackbery internet service. now all emails recieved till date from those three accounts are appearing together in Message box along .i again created those three accounts again.they are working well but i can not get earlier mails ,now in message box , back into the newly created email accounts.So to look for ols mails,i need to go back to message box.

Mar 16, 2010Ive only had my Curve 8900 for about a year, and I know thats about a decade in techie years but still...I'm incredibly frustrated with the issues I've been having!
Most pressing of these issues is that my phone keeps deleting my SMS even though my memory is NOT low! I've read tons of posts about the same issue but its always resolved by freeing up some memory.
My current memory status:File Free: 90317537
Thus I have 90.31 MB free...yes? Shouldnt that be enough?
Apparently not. I have nothing stored on my blackberry, everything is on the Media Card (4GB) and I only have a couple applications (MSN, Facebook, GTalk) and yet my SMS get deleted regularly unless they are saved on my SIM card and also notifications on facebook are often deleted (those dont matter too much to me but I believe it is resulting from the same thing that is deleting my SMS)
Further, my call logs ARENT being deleted. So I dont think its the same memory problem everyone else seems to have. I will be most most most grateful to anyone who can help me out here or at least point me in the right direction.Im seriously considering shelling out for an iphone even though ive only had my blackberry for a year because I do rely heavily on smartphones and losing SMS is really driving me crazy. Sometimes I cant even read a newly received SMS before its deleted! By the time i pick up my phone its gone...
Ive had other problems as well, not to ramble on but in case they are related:
I will be chatting on bbm for example and it will just exit out of the conversation or the application entirely. Oftentimes it slows down so much that the minute hand or whatever stays and everything freezes until i do a battery pull (which i hate doing but have to at least once a day) This often happens when Im using the browser...Sometimes when I am getting a call the minute hand appears again and I cant answer Oftentimes when this happens it says that I am receiving a call from an unknown number, but when they call back it turns out its a number i have saved...weird...
Sometimes I cannot dial or call (frustrating as hell when i need to make a call urgently!) I have to again do a battery pull to fix the issue. Ive had other issues here and there but nothing really worth mentioning after this long rant so I'll just leave it at that!!
Thanks to whoever has had the patience to read all this and I really do hope I can get some help before I release my frustrations on this piece of junk and end up having to spend tons of money on another brick...

Sep 7, 2011Curve 8900, T-mobile, OS 5.0.0.900 (Bundle 1626, Platform 5.2.0.96). I recently updated my phone to OS 5 after activating Blackberry data service with T-Mobile. After the update the was a GPS program in the "Downloads" folder included. I deleted the program by mistake. It was supposed to give voice turn-by-turn directions to the destination. What is the name of that program was and if it can be downloaded from App-world?

Jan 28, 2010I've downloaded the app store twice now and deleted between downloads. Here's the problem, I download it and it installs... unless I select "RUN" once its done, I cant use it. If I don't click "RUN" the app is nowhere to be found. Its not in the downloads folder, app folder or anywhere else I can find, although under "ADVANCED OPTIONS" and "APPLICATION" it does appear. Any one have this problem of know where the apps icon is so I can use it more than just once?

Jul 12, 2010I recently performed a battery pull to re-establish connection with the local EDGE network, and as expected, all the emails that I received while not in contact with EDGE came flooding in. What also appeared was an icon I've never seen before, an orange envelope with a sort or ribbon encircling it, and it only appears in front of the "Email Messages" icon, not the "Messages" or "SMS and MMS" icons, and is not accompanied by the usual tiny envelope icon with the number next to it that appears on the Home Screen whenever I have new messages. I've emptied out the Email folder, but it's still there.
