an unusual icon has appeared on my screen, anyone know how to get rid of it or what it is?! its a blue square with white dots in it and a red start in top corner of the blue square. it has a number one beside it. never seen this before, its not a facebook notification from what i can ascertain

My daughter just used her old sim from her old tmobile phone. I pay £15 per month for her to have 600 minutes and unlimited texts.But since using her sim in the BB, there have been strange charges appearing on her statement. She doesn't use any apps on there, and hasn't seen anything happening on the phone so we're at a loss as to what these charges are.They are only a few pence, but last month it came to over £7 and this month in just 3 days the total is already £2.She popped into our local tmobile store and was told that BB's are not supposed to be used without a data package, whatever that's supposed to mean.Tmobile do a booster for unlimited internet for just under £5 but I can't really afford to be paying that every month, i'd just rather get rid of these extra charges all together. It also has a red circle with a white star indicating there is a new message or something. When I click on the status bar it brings up all the other indicated messages or calls in the list but there is no list to correspond with this icon. There is a box with location and a check mark. there is a box with connections and a check mark. A save button and a Details button. This pops up everytime I click on the weather icon. Is there a way to keep this from popping up every time? It did not used to. I have uninstalled and re-installed the weather app 3 times and 1 time in safe mode. I have edited my permission several times.

It looks similar to the icon used for missed call or placed call except it has a curved arrow next to it. It is a gold phone receiver and the arrow is bent at a 45 degree angle. (kind of like a backwards check mark with an arrow head on the bottom). I have a suspicion that it has to do with call forwarding since I forwarded calls to a different phone # the other day, however, I cancelled that. I have checked my messages folder, rebooted, pulled battery, done an update, etc. Nothing works.

It looks like a new message icon, gold and slanted slightly to the right. the number 1 next to it. Right now it is to the left of my regular message icon although I have seen it on the right too. View 6 Replies View RelatedI sometimes find un unknown icon in my applications tray called menu. I reboot my phone and the icon disappears. The last two days I had the exact looking icon but this time it's called Startup2. Even when I reboot my phone it stays there. I've gone so far as to downgrade my OS and upgrade again, but it still does not go away. The icon looks like the icon on the Application folder. It is square with a thick white line at the top. Sort of like a "window".
