View 3 RepliesI have acquired a new icon on my Blackberry 9300 Curve screen - a five pointed gold star with a small black dot in the centre. Have no idea what it relates to or why it suddenly appeared. Can't find any outstanding updates to do. Get the impression that my battery use is speeding up as if there is some activity constantly running.
View 9 Replies View RelatedWe recently upgraded my wife's Blackberry to a Curve 3G 9330. When we try to sync to Outlook (non-Exchange), we encounter an error with the contacts (address book). The Desktop Software simply indicates an "unknown error" - not particularly facilitate. We've narrowed it down to a potentially bad contact record on the Blackberry, but cannot find a way to delete it. The options menu will not come up on the Blackberry for this one record. We've try to sync the device by overwriting the contacts with new data from Outlook, but still get's the same error message. I cannot find any information on erasing/deleting the complete contact list on the Blackberry.
View 3 Replies View Relatedan unknown icon that is in my status bar on my blackberry torch. It is light grey kinda looks looks like a mouse with a tail or a Bluetooth earbud. It also has a red circle with a white star indicating there is a new message or something. When I click on the status bar it brings up all the other indicated messages or calls in the list but there is no list to correspond with this icon. When this showed up I had no Bluetooth linked to this phone so I don't think that's it...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a BB Curve 8530 and I have an icon on my home screen that I cannot figure out. It looks similar to the icon used for missed call or placed call except it has a curved arrow next to it. It is a gold phone receiver and the arrow is bent at a 45 degree angle. (kind of like a backwards check mark with an arrow head on the bottom). I have a suspicion that it has to do with call forwarding since I forwarded calls to a different phone # the other day, however, I cancelled that. I have checked my messages folder, rebooted, pulled battery, done an update, etc. Nothing works.

View 4 Replies View Relatedabout a week ago, an additional nes message icon appeared at the top of the screen. It looks like a new message icon, gold and slanted slightly to the right. the number 1 next to it. Right now it is to the left of my regular message icon although I have seen it on the right too. I cleared both of my message lists and the icon is still there. I don't have any messages in facebook or twitter.I don't know how to find out what this icon represents or how to get to its list.

View 6 Replies View RelatedEver since the update I've had what I'm assuming is a notification icon on my screen and I've tried everything i can think of to figure out what it could be. It's appears to be a golden globe (almost like that of the web browser icon - which was what i though it was related to) with a number 1 next to it just as if it was a message or social network notification. Does anyone know what this icon might be and how to possibly get rid of it?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI sometimes find un unknown icon in my applications tray called menu. I reboot my phone and the icon disappears. The last two days I had the exact looking icon but this time it's called Startup2. Even when I reboot my phone it stays there. I've gone so far as to downgrade my OS and upgrade again, but it still does not go away. The icon looks like the icon on the Application folder. It is square with a thick white line at the top. Sort of like a "window".

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've a 9300 on T-Mobile UK with BB Worldwide booster, which I thought was for email. At the top right is "3G BB (icon)". I think the BB refers to the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS)..I'm in France and have used by BB to connect to the internet directly and also using it as a 3G modem via Desktop Software to my netbook. After downloading several MBs of data, I am relieved to find that although all the MBs of data appear on my account, using Orange france, there is not a single charge for the data. I am assuming that using the BIS also includes www data as well as email.
There are also some BlackBerry.net entries - which I assume are for the GPS maps etc.
On the top of the screen, near the email indicator, there is now a yellow ball that looks like the earth-type symbol for internet. There is a number 1 next to it. This indicator appeared when i turned my phone on this morning and it won't go away.I tried this advice and it didn't work.It is a WAP Browser icon. It's also an unopened message. Here is the best way to search From the main message queue do a search:service=ALL SERVICESfolder: ALL FOLDERSshow: ONLY UNREADtype=ALL I also tried clearing history, cache and cookies and it is still there?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter I installed OS6 v461 in my 9300, the firsts reboots didn't show the sms icon. After some research, I found a solution: to search and delete all sms messages from messages app/icon (because some "incompatibility" between sms storage in OS5 and OS6).Some weeks passed until today without having any issue with this. Now, I decided to do a QuickPull because I was having bad reception and after restart, I noticed sms icon was missing again.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently noticed that my Blackberry App World icon was missing from my home screen. I drilled into each of the sub folders, selecting 'show all' for each, and still could not find the icon. I attempted to re-download the app from the blackberry website using my browser, but was informed that I already had the application on my device. I then attempted to replace the existing version, and still no icon.I then decided to navigate to the application center and remove the app world application. I then navigated back to my browser (cleared the cache) and attempted to download the app. I received a 'download failed' notification, with the details of 'Invalid COD error 907' message (or something to that affect).

After installing OS6 on my Blackberry 9300 the icon for Blackberry App World has disappeared. App World is installed in the application list but the icon does not appear on the Home screen even after the show all command.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently reinstalled BB App World and it works fine. However, whenever the BB restarts with QuickPull, the AW icon is displayed with all the other icons when the menu key is held down. But if the AW icon is selected, AW does not appear. Nor does it appear if selected from the "All" screen.
BlackBerry® 9300 3G6.0 Bundle 2949 (v6.0.0.668, Platform 6.6.0.236)
My month-old Blackberry Curve 9300 won't turn on. I plugged it in - to the wall - to charge earlier today and at that point it seemed fine - when I went back to check it, though, the screen was blank with a red light. I've tried turning it on, but the loading screen comes up, loads a tiny part of the way, and then a blank white screen appears, then I get an icon of a battery with a red cross through it.
