BB Curve :: 9300 3G , OS6 No Icon For App World?
Aug 24, 2011I am using a curve 9300 , recently i upgraded my OS to Ver.6 after which i found out that my icon for bb app world is missing , also i cannot change my theme ?

BB Curve :: App World Missing Icon 9300 OS 6?
Jun 10, 2011I recently noticed that my Blackberry App World icon was missing from my home screen. I drilled into each of the sub folders, selecting 'show all' for each, and still could not find the icon. I attempted to re-download the app from the blackberry website using my browser, but was informed that I already had the application on my device. I then attempted to replace the existing version, and still no icon.I then decided to navigate to the application center and remove the app world application. I then navigated back to my browser (cleared the cache) and attempted to download the app. I received a 'download failed' notification, with the details of 'Invalid COD error 907' message (or something to that affect).
Specs:
Device: Curve 9300
Carrier: Vodaphone UK
OS: 6.0 Bundle (v6.0.0.448, platform 6.6.0.124)
App world: v2.1.1.19 (i think)

Feb 18, 2011After installing OS6 on my Blackberry 9300 the icon for Blackberry App World has disappeared. App World is installed in the application list but the icon does not appear on the Home screen even after the show all command.

Apr 20, 2011I recently reinstalled BB App World and it works fine. However, whenever the BB restarts with QuickPull, the AW icon is displayed with all the other icons when the menu key is held down. But if the AW icon is selected, AW does not appear. Nor does it appear if selected from the "All" screen.

May 12, 2011I have just bought the blackberry 9300 only 3 days ago and its already messed up, I can't receive e-mails, I can't send/receive bbm's, I can't access App world, finally I can't access facebook. But I can still access the internet, phone and text messages.
My information is:
Blackberry 9300 smartphone (3G, WiFi)
6.0 bundle 1879 (v6.0.0.448, platform 6.6.0.124
My network is Three (3)
I have tried a hard boot many times, also tried "registering the network" and got to "sending service books" and couldn't get passed the "e-mail accounts setup" because it says "your device had a problem connecting to the server".

Dec 22, 2010I had a Curve 9300 which I lost, I bought a new one which is quite different to my original one which I assume is because the software will be newer? Anyway on my old 9300 the app world memory was massive which I thought was my memory card but now on this newer 9300 the app world won't use my memory card to store apps, just the very measly 256MB, is there any way I can make it use my memory card on app world?

Aug 4, 2012I got a problem in my trackpad, my trackpad doesn't work totally, I try to restore my old back up and it works again then suddenly when I update my bb app world it my trackpad doesn't work again, I try to delete applications that I think that may causes malfunctioning or freezing my trackpad, then, I totally wipe out my bb, but the problem is still the same, trackpad doesn't work, I am using OS6, I don't know whats the cause of this problem, I try to put my backup files again and trackpad doesn't work anymore when i wipe my bb.

May 19, 2011I have 2 Blackberry Curve 8900's both on the Vodafone network and have installed Blackberry App World on both of them. I have checked the application lists on both of the phones and Blackberry App World is appearing in both of the lists but there is no icon any where for me to click on to open Blackberry App World. Both of these Blackberrys have software version 4.6.1.168 which according to when i click check for updates on desktop manager it is the latest version.
I have read other threads on here and done anything that i have found so far but none of them have worked, i.e: uninstalled and re-installed the app world from different places but still does not appear numerous battery pulls but still don't appear i have tried installing blackberry app world from [URL] on both blackberrys but still it does not appear i have tried connecting my blackberry to my PC and downloading and installing the blackberry app world from my PC's web browser from the above same URL but using the option 'From Your Desktop Computer' but still it does not appear.
BB Curve :: App World Missing Icon
Jan 1, 2012I have a Curve 9300 and recently upgraded to version 3.1.0.58 app world then after a few days the icon disappeared. I tried to download from the blackberry website but I kept having a message that too many tabs were open (there wasnt) and that the browser needed cleaning (or words to that effect...I think!). I have since received an email from blackberry stating that there was an error with that version and to download version 3.1.0.56 - I cannot download that either. I have tried by connecting to my laptop and downloading from the blackberry site, it states that I cannot download from there and to use the mobile web. I still cannot download from there either. I do have updated software on my curve as it crashed about 3 months ago when removing an app.

Apr 20, 2011I've a 9300 on T-Mobile UK with BB Worldwide booster, which I thought was for email. At the top right is "3G BB (icon)". I think the BB refers to the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS)..I'm in France and have used by BB to connect to the internet directly and also using it as a 3G modem via Desktop Software to my netbook. After downloading several MBs of data, I am relieved to find that although all the MBs of data appear on my account, using Orange france, there is not a single charge for the data. I am assuming that using the BIS also includes www data as well as email.
There are also some BlackBerry.net entries - which I assume are for the GPS maps etc.

This indicator appeared when i turned my phone on this morning and it won't go away.I tried this advice and it didn't work.It is a WAP Browser icon. Jun 18, 2012I have just upgraded from an 8520 to a 9360. Originally I moved everything onto my new phone by using desktop manager but there seemed to be a problem with constant rebooting because it didnt like some of the third party apps. I restored the phone to the original settings but although I have Appworld and Bridge in my list of applications there is no icon for them - i have checked by Show All and they are not there. Both showed as icons on my 8520 and worked fine (I have a playbook too which is why I need the Bridge).

Apr 27, 2011I have a curve 9300 v5.0 it was working fine I think that it was because I was trying to update to the last version of it, but it didn't work and show some kind of error, after this the bbm was working and the next day the icon was Gonne!
