I am using a E72 phone for last 4 months.And recently I am facing a problem I can't sent sms from my phone.My phone's message center number is right and I have sufficient balance but still I can't send sms to any number.

I'd really be grateful to you if could help me out with this. I have got a locked Nokia N91. I went to a local mobile repair shop which claims to unlock branded phone. While it was being unlocked, the phone got some error for some unknown reason and now whenever I start my phone, all it says is ' phone start-up failed, contact the retailer' the repairer says the phone's IMEI is damaged which I have confirmed from various repair shops and would need some RPL file (which I haven't got any idea about) and since Nokia servers are down its not possible right now, he tells me to wait for a bit before the servers are up on the run again. I have no idea if its even true. All I want to know is Can My Phone really be Repaired? And if Yes whats the Criteria for doing so? And if i take my phone to Nokia repair shop. I am afraid they would not fix it since they haven't got a license to unlock branded phones.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the X6. The phone rings and I unlock the keyguard using the slider on the side of the phone and the phone stops ringing. Then in order to answer the phone I press the green button on the bottom left of the phone or I press answer call on the screen and then I can speak which I suppose sounds fair enough. But I just think that something is wrong because surely the phone should continue to make the 'ringing' noise until I actually answer the call rather than going mute just because I have unlocked the keyguard.. Am I doing something wrong or is this just how the phone works?
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy phone told me i had to update it to new software.So I connected it to my computer (running win7).I started the nokia phone update software, which correctly identified my phone etc. It told me it was normal it could say the phone got disconnected.After a few minutes, it told me my phone was disconnected and I had to unplug it, unplug battery, put everything back in and press power for 1 second to resume updating. That doesn't workHard resetting with shift + space + backspace also doesn't work. The phone vibrates for a second and does nothing. I do see a little red light inside the navi-pad.

NOKIA X6. Within 2 weeks of purchase I found that there is a manufacturing defect in the phone and because of that defect my phone is getting dust every day inside the phone and on the TFT screen, being a touch screen phone dust hinders in touch screen operations. I went to Nokia care on 27.06.2010 and asked for the replacement and they told me let us check the phone we will forward your request to our Bangalore office, so kindly wait for 10 days. But yesterday I got my phone back in the very same condition even I am sure it's not even been transferred to the concern department for check and rectification because the dust on the screen was as it is.

View 4 Replies View RelatedOkay i've had my Nokia n97 for more than 6months now and its been working great except lately my facebook app wasn't working and i had to update it,so last night i backed up my files on my mobile and i connected it to the pc and updated it with the program that the mobile brings with a cd it was okay then i went back to restore my files and it said it had to restart so it turned off and i went to turn it on again and it stayed a blank screen with the nokia sign in the middle in blue (when you turn it on it that usually shows) but it stayed stuck there it doesn't go to pin code nor anything, and to turn it off i have to take the battery off,

Now, Nokia Email has appear as new included application so I would like to use it, but when I configure my email account (form a supported services: ovi, gmail, etc...), the wizard only configures my mobile for the typical IMAP client. It's strange, because I have a different E71 also update to this same firmare and Nokia Messaging works fine and creates the Nokia Messaging account.How could use Nokia Messaging with my E71?. Is there some way to create a Nokia Messaging account form the web instead from the phone?.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI honestly don't know whats up with my phone, I bought my E72 around 2 months ago and paired it with a no contract pay monthly deal from T-Mobile and it worked perfectly fine till now. Earlier this week I got an angry text message from someone because they had called my phone over 10 times over the course of the day and left voicemails but didn't answer. My phone hadn't rung and showed no missed calls or even voicmail messages. It sputtered a bit after that, having bad connectivity in areas that it used to perform fine before, until it reached the point where I had no connectivity anywhere! Every now and again i get some bars appear but when I make a call they quickly dissapear and the phone says no network coverage.
Obviously I guessed this must have been a screwup from T-Mobile and I spent all my morning yesterday pacing back an forth in one of their outlets as the kids behind the desk called up different people trying to figure out why it doesn't work. First thing that was checked was the phones settings, which seemed fine, then they switched the sim card assuming it had died. After that made no change they had someone over the phone reset the service settings (whatever the hell that is). They even tried the SIM card on a phone they had there and it worked perfectly. After a couple other dead ends we tried restoring the factory settings on the phone which allowed us to make one phone call to their offices landline.
But any other call didn't work, and its been that way since either having no connectivity or occasionally letting one get through but cutting of any sound from my mic. Oddly enough I get text messages and my email works fine (which i heard doesn't use WiFi, only the phone services connection) so im at wits end with this. I will me more than glad to apologize if this turns out to be a problem with T-Mobile, but after all my insisting I see no results from complaining to T mobile. I'd like to hear some feedback on what could have possibly gone wrong. My phone has not gotten wet recently and it wasn't dropped, in fact I cant think of any reason that might have sparked this problem. Sorry for turning this into a short novel, but I am desperate to find anyone who might have a clue whats going on. I plan to visit another t mobile store soon and a nokia outlet as well to see who might help but any support is more than welcome.

I am using N81 8GB. So far I know brand new N81 8GB has 16MB of free internal memory and somewhat 8GB of free external memory (where internal memory in the phone memory and external memory is the memory card.
Last three months it was asking me Phone Memory is out of space whereas I used only 2GB out of 8GB mass memory.I installed everything in Mass memories. Recently it was asking me , Phone memory is not available. I used OVI suite¯ with cable and found 24MB already used 0(zero) space available. Then I deleted all programme, music, video and and others from Mass memory and formatted it. Even deleted everything except default program. Then I flashed the Mobile from OVI update suite. Version has changed but found 21MB is occupied out of 24MB. Now tell me whats the solution to free the spaces?
I can't receive more than 3 or 4 music (small) files via Bluetooth. It asks me to free the inbox space. So far I had total 10 text message (SMS) in inbox. Why it should ask me whereas I have enough memory( 6GB) in Mass Memory¯ ?
I have had the phone for just about six months, just got it back from Nokia Care services due to the phone freezing and shutting down and restarting on its own. But since I've got it back from Nokia, the phone keeps freezing up and sometimes when I receive calls, I cannot answer the call as the touch screen won't respond. I enter my Pin number , then appear the time and date to set ... and after 10-15 second the screen is black (like nothing on him / turned off ) and then in appear on screen battery and slowly other things the signal on netword and finally the screen and then it's starts again disappear all from screen and reset .like 7-10 times then it's stay off. if i turn him again on enter my pin number it's make the same thing.I used and another battery and do the same thing.

However I was just given the prompt unknown device installed, and PC Suite was not detecting anything. So basically I had no choice but to just abandon it and try to connect my phone (5800) to the PC. However, the phone now does not detect being connected to the PC, and Ovi Suite cannot detect the phone as well. Trying it out on PC Suite, it gives me the error "No connection type available, wizard will now close" or something along those lines. Its the first time this has happened to me so I have no clue. I've already tried repairing, and uninstall reinstall but still nothing.

I'm looking for a Nokia phone (I need a good antenna and a good microphone, and I trust Nokia to deliver them) that works with MetroPCS. This means that it has to be a CDMA phone.
The two features that I need are AWS (Metro requires this for operation in some east coast cities) and Bluetooth (preferably 2.0) with dial-up networking (bluetooth DUN). Camera, software, GPS, etc are all optional. I like simple, but I'm willing to deal with excess bells and whistles. Does anyone know of a phone that would fit the bill?
I am interested in waiting for the next camera phone to replace my N8, is there any news on this? Might it be a Windows phone or can I expect a Symbian?
