I just owned a N86.Its cool.It has Phone memory of 74 MB and Mass memory of 8GB and its great.but on by using apps or downloading updates or due to broken downloaded files its memory gets low. and it cannot be removed.So its necessory to have a application tool to remove unwanted dumped files from the memory as like clearing all cache cookies history in the nokia browser.

Having great fun in doing so but not always given the option of where to save them to with the end result that they are saving to the phone memory which keeps filling up and then giving me an error message. Can anyone please tell me how to move apps from the phone memory to the card memory. And can anyone also tell me if I have an icon on the 'Menu' screen and the 'Apps' screen, does this mean the application has been downloaded twice and do I need both or can I delete one (presumably the 'Menu' one)?

And I was given the option of copying the messages over to my memory card, and saving the original messages. Last three months it was asking me Phone Memory is out of space whereas I used only 2GB out of 8GB mass memory.I installed everything in Mass memories. Recently it was asking me , Phone memory is not available. I used OVI suite with cable and found 24MB already used 0(zero) space available. Then I deleted all programme, music, video and and others from Mass memory and formatted it. Even deleted everything except default program. Then I flashed the Mobile from OVI update suite. Version has changed but found 21MB is occupied out of 24MB. Now tell me whats the solution to free the spaces?
I can't receive more than 3 or 4 music (small) files via Bluetooth. It asks me to free the inbox space. So far I had total 10 text message (SMS) in inbox. Why it should ask me whereas I have enough memory( 6GB) in Mass Memory ?
my e63 keeps showing the error message 'phone memory full'.file manager says that 119mb are in use, but i can't 'see' the files that are taking up all this space.i've deleted surplus applications like Internet - but could someone possibly suggest how to free up more space? i don't think it's being taken up by emails or text messages (121kb) either.i would prefer not to format the memory, just delete whatever is taking up the 119mb.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an N96. Recently, I have noticed that the memory (C: Phone Memory) is being used up. I have been constantly deleting stuff from this drive but although it clears about 1 or 2 Mb each time, the memory gets filled up again.The list of the stuff I do is:-
Clear all messages, inbox, outbox and sent.
Clear the browser cache.
Check for any unusual files using X-Plore
Occasionally check Google Maps, resetting it (although I never use it).
I have been searching for difference opinions as to what is causing this problem and keep seeing that a reset may help but I really don't want to do this if it is un-necessary. What I checked the details of the C: drive, I get :-

I have no idea what these other files are and how to get rid of them.Any help would be appreciated as I have already had the phone unable to load at start up due to lack of memory (although I managed to get this sorted). It just seems the memory keeps filling up. Two days ago, I had 5Mb free, a couple of hours ago it was 120kb. I have only got this room by removing the N-Gage app.
I can't think of a good reason why Ovi Maps has to be installed on the phone memory. In fact I don't see any reason why any application other than the firmware would need to install on the phone memory. I keep running into memory low issues because I only have 5 MG free on my phone memory, without Ovi Maps I can have up to 27 MG. Am not sure what Nokia is thinking but why can't I install Ovi Maps on the extended memory? I delete the browser cache frequently. I have my mails stored on the extended memory, I always delete temprorary installation files, and still the maximum I can get is 5 MG. Also why I can't uninstall quickoffice? I am aware of some of the memory tips which has been discussed in some forum but it didn't really help me. I am guessing my ultimate solution is to just uninstall Ovi Maps. I like to know anyone here have the same problem.

I've gone into everything on the memory and plugged it into computer and can't see anything that takes up anywhere near that amount of space.I have updated to firmware 20.0.019 after it was eventually released for my code and it made sweet F A difference, even though it's supposed to free up memory.If anyone knows anything about how to sort this please let me know, as it's starting to **bleep** me off by making videos jump and i can't update other things like ovi maps because "memory is full".
