I have a E52 with all my apps installed on memory card and only have 35 Mb free. The folder that have 24 Mb are the "Others" but searching in this folder with X-plore say that are empty.Any suggestion will be appreciated.

I've gone into everything on the memory and plugged it into computer and can't see anything that takes up anywhere near that amount of space.I have updated to firmware 20.0.019 after it was eventually released for my code and it made sweet F A difference, even though it's supposed to free up memory.If anyone knows anything about how to sort this please let me know, as it's starting to **bleep** me off by making videos jump and i can't update other things like ovi maps because "memory is full".

And after I registered at TuneWiki, the app scanned my music, and after that I got an error saying that: Disk space exhausted. Please cleanup the disk or re-install application on another drive. Well, the truth is, that I can't even uninstall it, because I get almost the same error. Tried to install the app again without uninstalling but the same happened.

I have been using my Nokia 5230 as normal for a couple of months, and have noticed that the phone memory is always full or close to full. I have a memory card on there which I use for all my music etc. After reading other posts I cleared my browser cache which freed up 7MB or so. I also discovered 16MB in installed applications. Yet I still have about 55MB unaccounted for. I then bought a USB cable to connect it to the computer and investigate on windows explorer. The properties of the root drive for the phone memory show as mostly in use, yet when I go through each of the individual folders nothing is there. I do not have many applications installed and they are set up to install on the memory card anyway.
Can anyone please solve my problem as to where on earth this 55MB of unaccounted memory is coming from?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI know this has been discussed lots before but I can't seem to "find" a solution that works for me.The N97 phone memory 64MB shows full but when I look at it under Explorer I can only see about 25Mb of material.Where is the rest of the memory going to? I have gone through all the folders and files via expoler and can't find anything bigger than 2MB except Maps at 9MB. When I add them all up it comes to just over 25MB.Any tips on what I could move to the Mass Memory delete to free up some memory. As far as I can tell everything that can run off the Mass Memory is already there (text messages, images, music, apps etc).Are there some sort of log files or crash files that I could delete without hurting the phones operating system?

And there obviously wasn't much memory since when people called me it played the default tune which is a sign that it is low on memory.However i look at the phone memory 35mb free.Look at the open applications, and apart from the contacts there was nothing else, but i closed the contacts never the less.However it still kept saying this.However it has seemed to stop now and be fine but never the less i would still like to know if there is any reason that i haven't thought of, of why it might have been saying this?

I see memory phone of 256 MB full with USB connected to PC. When I look inside the folders, nothing in some, no large file in others.
1. Why the phone memory is full? I did not install apps on the C drive aka phone memory, I did not put photos, videos or anything there, I don't use email.
2. Why I cannot find the files that occupy the memory? No large file can be seen.
3. Is this the cause of phone auto restarting and the cause some applications are crashing, closing in front of my eyes or in the background?

I open details of Phone Memory and it says that Images take 5787 kb. I open image folder in it and theres nothing.

I own a E7-00 and would install some more maps to cover more areas. Now I found that the phone memory is complete full and mass memmory only has 1.6gb left.
How can I determine which application or data is using storage memory? There are no movies, music or other "big" files copied to the phone (as far as I know). The only thing I know is "maps". From my experience with E90 and E71 all available maps need about 8GB space, this should fit to a E7 with 16GB
When I try to send a message my W995 says "Phone memory full. Delete one or more files of your choice". When I select "yes" it calls up a list of file boxes, but none can be deleted. I've scanned the net and it does seem to be a common problem, but I can't find an answer.

I updated my software and it worked but then the problem came back again so i repaired it..which reinstalled the software and it worked but it came back again. It dint show any error or anything, I just could no longer receive msgs. Just last saturday i once again repaired it, and on monday im stopped receiving sms. At about the same time it shows that my memory is full even though i changed to an 8GB card. i only have 1GB of data on it. What can i do? ive tried using other sim cards and clearing the messages. No luck I think all my apps are being saved to phone memory which is slowing down the phone too and giving me that alert. Is there a way for me to transfer my downloads to the SD card?
View 9 Replies View RelatedEver since I have bought Nokia E7 it had almost full phone memory. I've done many hard resets and after every one the situation is the same. With no applications instaled it had 35 MB of free phone memory. After I install Anna upgrades 1/2 and 2/2 it's memory is reduced to about 5 MB. When I look details in phone manager, it shows me that there is 410 MB of "other files". That is impossible since there are no files on the phone after hard reset. And I can't find those files anywere on the phone.

However, as far as I can tell, there is practically nothing on the phone memory. I have no apps installed, everything I can is set to use the SD card, SD card is the default memory.I have a few emails, but nothing in sent items, or deleted items.
